Initially had problem with remote. Installer got new one and worked way it was supposed to.

We love the appearance, and the instant warmth! Only wish the glass didn't get so dirty so quickly

I like the ambience. But the remote is a little finicky.

We love it. We have the Ci2700, and we see a huge difference. We will purchase another one and we do recommend it. Only problem: The automatic fan does not come on nor turn off. We have to manually turn it on and off.

Fireplace is nice and looks great, but haven't been able to run it more than 15 minutes and finish the initial cure. Every time it kicks on, it causes the breaker to flip (arc fault). This is a 1960s home. The circuit panel was upgrade in 2017/2018 and as a result is now configured with arc fault breakers to meet current code. The fan for this fireplace, is on the same circuit as lights and is on an arc fault breaker to meet code. Spoke with an electrician. First option would be to put a higher quality fan in the unit, one that is designed to work with an arc fault breaker. I called my Installer (Jack Pixley Sweeps) to see if there is a higher quality fan option I can upgrade to which won't trip an arc fault breaker. Unfortunately this is not an option. The Liberty LRI4 only comes with one motor. There is no upgrade option available to me. I am now hiring an electrician to run a separate circuit to the fireplace which code will allow me to have on a non arc fault breaker which won't trip due to the lower quality motor. My request to Regency is to put higher quality fans in their units, ones that can be on arc fault breakers, and pass the cost onto the consumer. I would gladly have paid a little more on this unit which replaced a 25+ year old fireplace insert to have avoided having to hire and coordinate a separate electrician in order to meet code. I expect you will hear more and more complaints like these as the years go on and more existing homes have their services changed/upgraded which requires meeting code at the time. Please put higher quality motors in your fireplaces, ones that are certified to work on arc fault circuits, and pass through the costs. The cost of a higher quality motor is going to be less than the cost of an electrician running a separate line/circuit in older homes. I have been very happy with the installer who offered to come out and help troubleshoot with the electrician when he is here. I would have welcomed their calling out this possibility during the sales process as I have to think this is a common occurrence in older homes that have been remodeled. The sales process and install process was great as this was a plug and play install to replace a 25+ year old existing gas insert. I would use this installer again, but I will have hesitations about using your products in the future. We are planning on putting a wood insert at a future point in our basement fireplace. I am certain I will hit this same issue again given the age of my home and the upgrade to the pane to meet modern electrical code.

We have been living at our present address for about 30 years. We had 2 wood burning fireplaces, one in the living room and the other in the family room. We occasionally lit a fire in the family room but never fired up the fireplace in the living room. Last year we opted to have Regency Gas Fireplace Inserts installed in both fireplaces. What a treat!!. We now enjoy a fire in these fireplaces almost every day.

We are very happy with the look and efficiency of our Regency wood stove. However it came with some issues that we are still waiting for Regency to follow up on. It came with a gritty side panel, a rust spot on the front and the finish coming off around the opening. We were promised a new side panel and high heat paint back in September and are still waiting.

We love the heat that this product puts out. The learning curve on use was a bit cumbersome but we caught on quick.

Easy install, easy to use remote, simple and elegant design. Keeps us warm in the winter. Only issues is that the fan can be noisy at times if internal vibrations start making parts rattle.

We have a CI2700 and for the most part it burns great. It outputs great heat and will heat the downstairs of our colonial to over 70F when it's 30F outside. It takes some learning to get the damper and choke working together properly but once you get the hang of it (maybe takes the year of purchase), you'll be heating your house well. The cat does burn up fairly quickly so I would recommend becoming familiar with the components in the burner and how to remove them. After a hear my cat had cracks and burn through on several channels. I am going to utilized the warranty at the end of this year which is nice. I also had to replace the door seal and will probably have to every year which is recommended to make sure you get a good burn. Also, the door latch has some issues but is again under warranty so I'm glad I can get a replacement. All in all, its a good stove with a modern design that the wife likes and nice features to control burn and reduce emissions which I like as well.

I am happy with my Ci2700. Warmed by the fire as I write this and reflect on how my family loves having a fire to gather round in the winter. It also keeps the main floor of our house much warmer, reducing the furnace cycles on cold days and eliminating them altogether on moderate winter days. The wide firebox and door make it easy to load. I like the ability to bypass the catalytic for starting and loading. Two little but nice to have improvements. The blower needs more than two speeds; A continuous adjustment would be great. The blower could be quieter. Two defects: There should be a collar bead or bushing between the slide and the front cover for the bypass handle. There should be feet on the front leveling bolts to keep them from sinking into the soft fire bricks in the bottom of the fireplace. It would be great if you had an engineer contact me through the dealer where I purchased the fireplace. Or they could just email me and arrange a phone call. Thank you. It could result in improved review.

I do like the insert however, I’m somewhat disappointed with the lack of circulation from the blower in the unit. I was hopeful that the blower would circulate the warm air and help make the living room more cozy. It gets hot right in front of the fire place but there isn’t much temperature change 10ft away. The room is not oversized and does not get warm and toasty. I guess I was hoping for something more, and truly expected more for the money that was put into this project.
