Bought a P36E Regency fireplace. Very loud noises when it was warming up and cooling. Tech support couldn’t help the installer solve the problem. Eventually they replaced the whole unit with a new one. New one is better but still has a ticking noise after the flame lights and continues until fan starts. I would recommend you stay away from this Regency.

I have an F1500. First winter the plate that the catalytic converter sits on warped and cracked my baffle. It was covered under warranty but took Regency and my technician 2 months to fix it (in the dead middle of winter). Worked for another season then the baffles started to crumble and need replaced again. For $4600CAD you wouldn't think this would be an issue. Getting tired of dealing with the cheap baffles so I either need to stock up or get rid of the stove. My priginal technician takes forever for warranty issues so I guess I'll just keep doing this out of pocket until I invest in a different stove. When it's working it runs great and is efficient. The airmate on top works but not sure it's worth the risk of having it break down in January. Unless Regency comes up with a better baffle material in the next year or 2 I'll definitely be getting a different stove. Also, I burn ash, maple, cherry and a bit of birch all around 10-20% moisture content (most around the 15%range).

The flame on one fireplace is really nice and it provides a lot of heat. The second fireplace flame isn't very good so that is a bit disappointing

Nice clean lookLove the real flickering lookOnly thing is, it takes cleaning about once every two weeks for the glass. Taking it apart is a bit of a pain

I enjoy my new fireplace. It heats my condo very well while looking amazing and comforting. I love all the lighting/ambient choices. The only thing i am not entirely pleased with is the fan is quite noisy. It is right below my LR TV..and the fan can be distracting.

What a difference from before and after. Only I was hoping they would do the trimming , but all, and all, I am please, now I have to find some one to do the trim.

It looks good and warms the room. Had some installation problems in the beginning, but I think that has been taken care of. I don't quite understand the remote because I set it and it doesn't always come on when I think it should. But, over all, I like it just fine.

Pros: heats area near/around fireplace as expected. Looks nice. Cons: kind of expensive. Some features in the manual like the light is not present on my fireplace??? Other: After shutting off, it would be nice for the fan to continue to run so all the excess heat can continue to be dispursed into the room. This could be an option but instead of just shutting it off; you could utilize all the heat still contained in the fireplace. The fan can shut off automatically when the firebox reaches a certain lower temperature.

We love the looks of it and the quietness of the blower and the heat it puts out. if there is anything we would change it is that, when they put replacement tubes in the ceiling of the unit, they are just made to lay into the top. They keep falling out. It would seem there would be a better way to keep them in.

It is warm and enjoyable to watch. It was installed on time, fairly neatly. It has not reduced our electric bill.

The heat generated from the insert is good and preforms well consistently. It is the amount of ash escaping when opening the door to add more wood that is concerning. Wish there were information from Regency on this and cleaning the firebox available.

I purchased what I thought was a quality fireplace from Regency. Three fans later in 2 years. Extremely poor quality and NO support from Regency. Stay away! They will not back their product.

Firstly, what I don't love: 1. Little bit, but normal noises from fan and from unit itself as thermostat turns it on and off to maintain set temperature. Fan quieter than one in my previous wood burning stove. 2. Flames not as pretty and variable as previous wood stove. 3. Gas prices supposed to jump this winter. What I do love: 1. That it does maintain a constant temperature per thermostat, so I don't go from too cold to too hot. And can be changed with the handy remote ad lib. 2. Pretty enough. 3. I love not having wood delivered, stacked, stored and brought in constantly during the cold. Wanted convenience. What I might spend on gas I'm saving on convenience. Well worth it!

The flames are realistic looking and it really warms up the area of the house it was intended for.

Love how teh looks and the heat in the room and everyone we show it to is impressed. The only issue we have is the vendor said we would get a rebate and we never did.

I like the Remote, look, heat; all great. I don't like the fact that I can only order extra remote or parts through the installer.
