“Concept great but if the code scraping listings can't figure out the difference between a week or a month it's going to always give paid customers false results.”
“I’m lucky not to have fallen for it! I’ve been bombarded with emails today after only BROWSING last night! Thinking I’ll fall for a property that they’ve advertised as £856 a month that’s advertised £1000 pm in my local estate agent. Phew! So sorry to all you guys who’ve been scammed”
“I’m one of the lucky ones who managed to cancel the subscription before the monthly payments started. It hasn’t stopped rentola from trying to debit my card multiple times for the £35.00. Absolute cowboys I’m livid let’s get these crooks shut down.”
“I literally wanted to look at viewings for a single property but in order to do so you have to register for £1. Did that, the property wasn't the one so never booked the viewing. For the next two months they then take £35 from me every month even after I have tried twice to cancel this. This month I was charged again for a service I have no use for and I am told to make sure it is cancelled to log in. Now no emails come through when I select forgotten password as if my details have been removed now yet still they charge me. Just don't. There are other websites you can use with no charges hidden or otherwise and they have a contactable customer service if all else fails. Rentola does not.”
“BEWARE!!!
I got scammed. I registered with rentola with initial subscription of 1€. However the next day I could not find any apartment details and I wrote them a mail immediately indicating that I am having problem in my subscription. They replied after 7 days after automatically charging €39 only to let me know that I created subscription on rentola.de not rentola.com.
I strongly advise not to proceed with rentola if you wish not be be stripped of your hard earned money.
AFTER 7 DAYS THEY WILL TAKE €39 FROM YOU!!!
Thank you.”
“I can confirm it's a scam how they trick customers with conditions written so small making them hard to see. They send you plenty of marketing emails with different numbers to use freely their platform, to actually realising that they charged with that amalgam of emails spamming.”
“They tried to take money from my account with no authorisation and now they send me emails that I have to pay an outrageous bill and if I don’t, I will be turned into dept and it will grow.
STAY AWAY”
“Initially they ask us register with 1 £ after a week they will deduct money 35£ without our knowledge. We can't call to the customer care service and they won't respond to our messages. Such useless company is this, completely disgusting....”
“Absolutely disgusting
Absolutely disgusting. I do not know how this company is even allowed to operate. I paid £1 for a subscription, then cancelled it the next day. A week later they attempt to take £35.00 from my account. My bank recognised it as fraudulent and stopped the transaction. If the bank recognises Rentola as fraudulent then there is something seriously wrong here.
I emailed them to make a complaint, then got a response from "Nina" who told me I have an active account, when I do not !! She then tried to act as if she was doing me a favour by "cancelling " my account for me even though I cancelled it after 1 day. Avoid this site like the plague ! It is a scam !”
“Been charged £35 for absolutely nothing I was looking for a rental property and paid £2 then the £35 was taken from my bank I am 79 years old and homeless, I must have pressed a button on my iPhone not realised what I had done , proper scam.”
“This whole website is a scam. You pay a premium of 1 euro to be able to contact landlords but then this feature is never made available to you. They do not respond to any of your emails and when you try to cancel your account it does not allow you to. THEY WILL KEEP ON DEBITING MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT!!!”
