“Revolut I wish I never opened account with them. I purchased something online for Christmas for my kids.didnt get my order. And the company wasn't replying back to me. So I did a charge back claim! Once I did that the company email me agreed to refund me. So I asked for my charge back to be cancelled was told it couldn't be cancelled had to wait on the out come! How ever the company cancelled the refund because I made a charge back request and I needed to wait had to wait 50days for the out come I won the dispute yet Once.i was refund.the bank at the same time reversed the charge back.i asked why they said.because I asked for it to be cancelled that I now.have to.contact the company for the refund I do that and there saying there nothing they can.do and to contact my bank as I won my dispute and.been refunded so I contact the bank for them to say nothing they can do and.wont discuss the matter any further with me and to contact the company yet either.are helping me I even ask if the charge back reversal be sent.bk.to the company as surly then they should see they had the refund back. To then.issue my money yet Revolut won't tell me all they keep saying is they can not discuss the matter with me!! It's a joke I feel like they are just robbing people off there money!!”
“A payment was credited into my Revolut business account after invoicing client using invoicing option in my Rovolut App. Invoicing clients was authorised by Revolut and made available to be used in my Revolut business bank account. However, upon receipt of payment Revolut decided to block my account and withhold client’s money because I “do not have website” (currently under construction).
I ask the Revolut to return the payment back to the client, but they are simply ignoring my messages for the last 2 weeks. They have no telephone number to talk to customer services just online non-human operational messaging service.”

Everyone is complaining about the same problem with Revolut recently and I’m sure there is no doubt something strange is happening…
I have had a Revolut account for 2 years now but all of a sudden 2 weeks ago i get a message saying my account is under review. I had money in my pot that I couldn’t access, that was my student allowance so i was left for days with no money in university. I contacted Revolut and I was told it was a “routine” check. A fee days later I woke up in the morning to a message saying my revolut account is being closed parmanetly.
As if that wasn’t strange enough I saw a transaction notification from revolut showing that all the money i had in the pot (£364) was removed from the pot by revolut, used to buy BTC, converted from BTC back to pounds (the money then became £354 because Revolut took crypto charges) and got sent to a random Metro Bank account……This sounds outrageous but I have pictures to prove.
I contacted Revolut customer service which we all know is only in app chat which is very useless. I was told someone with a metro bank account requested a refund for money that was sent to my account. When i asked revolut about details on this transfer they keep replying with a generic message “this is all the information i have from my end” I went to Metro Bank to make a query. I was told the account didn’t belong to anyone and it was an undesignated “fraud” account. Metro Bank told me they didn’t know why revolut sent the funds and someone cannot make a refund request because the account doesn’t belong to anyone. I told revolut what Metro said and they replied with the same thing “this is all the information i have from my end”. I aksed them why they used thr monet to buy BTC before transferring it they couldn’t answer. I asked to provide details on who owend the Metro account leg me know what transaction and who made the request, they couldn’t help me. And they are planning to close my account on the 27th Of January. REVOLUT I NEED ANSWERS AND I NEED MY MONEY. £354 of my student allowance is gone for no reason. I MUST GET MY MONEY”
“Revolut are a bunch of nasty pricks who will refuse to give you your money back and demand you take a million pictures of yourself, provided documents, passport and a driving license. After speaking to the ombudsman they confirmed it is now normal procedure. This company needs closing down and I will not leave them alone until they give me my money.”

A payment I made had been authorised but revolut confirmed the money had not yet left my account, i explained fully and asked them to stop the payment but they said they couldn’t and wouldn’t as it was authorised. “If I could give Revolut minus 5 stars I would. Tried to authorise a payment in the App. Very simple on other bank accounts - Nat West/ Halifax etc. Could not find a means to do it. Contacted Help - customer service. They were completely and utterly stupid. Kept saying payment had been authorised, that it was a 'ghost payment' and on and on. In the end I asked them to prove it to me. They couldn't. That's how daft they are. I liked Revolut up till this point as a convenient alternative but their customer service operatives have got to be the dimmest people on the planet.”

“Have spent the last week warning everybody I have come in contact with to exercise extreme caution with Revolut. Having discovered the app through my children, took to it like a duck to water. However 3 months later when funds were queried, and Irish Tax clearance supplied with invoices and requests for my parents wills and when supplied, requests for their death certs and when supplied, the probate certificate, again supplied, I had the audacity to ask for the full name and job title of Nick and Harry who had been supplied with all this rather personal information, I was informed that they are not obliged to supply their names or employment information and that my account was closed without giving a reason. They rather kindly told me that I could lodge a formal complaint through email, if I so wished.
So glad that I screenshot all and will forward to the financial regulators in the not too distant future.
Having read some of the nightmares experienced by other brave souls, I know how lucky I am to have got my money out of revolut and back to my own real account in time.
Please dont bother posting one of your rather insincere generic responses. They are actually a bit embarrassing at this stage.”
