AVOID THIS BANK before you become the next victim! DONT BELIEVE IT?.. neither have I, and stayed with Revolut for almost 3 years, until I was proven wrong... and yes I did read similar warnings such as this one that I’m writing, thinking “it’s the best bank, I’ve made the right choice”... BUT NO! On 25th of April, which is almost 3 weeks today, Revolut has suspended my account without any warning. I’ve contacted them immediately asking for explanation, but all I received was “we are very sorry, I know this is difficult for you, but we are doing everything we can to resolve this”... Really?... 3 weeks?! And just after I have been paid?! I’ve contacted Revolut every day since then, but all I would get is the same romotic automated message, with text slightly changed. While it is some kinda sick joke, and it gives Revolut a huge power to play with my money and ear interest, I am left without being able: - buy food - renew meds prescription - pay bills etc While I continue to lend money from friends and family, I continue to contact Revolut with no resolution or explanation. According to Revolut: “there is nothing wrong with my account, it’s just a standard check procedure”. BE AWARE! I have been a customer since 3years

terrible service i have waited 2 months with no response from revolut about the fraud of 5,300. i am still awaiting the investigation I have provided evidence of the actual scam that has occurred and the fraud that has taken place. my next option is to take revolut to court if financial ombudsman do not resolve my case.

Please avoid this outfit by all means specially if you are planning to send large sumps of money, they will make your life a nightmare They will block the account and money on source of funds questioning, you will provide them with document after document in an endless rat race Every time you send them proof of funds they will ask for a new document from you, it is obvious they are collecting private data about everything you do To give you an example of what i had to send: I had to send them bank statements of all my bank accounts since 2019, my investment portfolio, my work contracts, my salary certificates, customs declaration...and they keep asking for more and more watch out for this statement in their policy wording because this is the loop hall they use to abuse you: 'as per general terms of service you agree to cooperate with all requests made by us or any third party services providers on our behalf in connection with your revolut account... this may include but not limited to asking further for further information that will allow revolut to reasonably identify you' This outfit should be banned in Europe, they are abusing customers with their requests and in violation of data protection mandate articles Moreover, they use your money, block you from sending your money. Their customer service is outsourced to a company in India and everytime you deal with a new person, they are very UN-helpful Please do yourself a favor and avoid this. If you insist, go ahead and have your money blocked

I have used Revolut sincer 2018 and I loved it. Great exchange rates, fast transfers, great app which is incredibly easy to use IMO. It was good up until the moment I actually needed their assistance. Last week I had money taken from my account through phishing. I completed an online form for a chargeback and not even 10 minutes later I got an email that my chargeback claim has been denied. That's the first red flag. People might think fast responses are good, but they are not. When I ran into the same problem with ING, they took a month to investigate and look into it. Revolut thinks that in under 10 minutes you can solve a case of fraud? Bad. Second red flag was that they didn't even ask me for additional information. They just straight up refused looking into it further because I guess, more work for them to do? So I proceeded to contact a live agent and discuss it with them. I gave them all the proof that showed I was scammed, screenshots, THE POLICE REPORT, everything. And all they had to say was "we are so sorry but our team decided this case is closed, so you have to cooperate only with the police from now on". Right. Thankfully at least the police is professional and I am making progress with them. But Revolut has been shameful. After 4 years of being their client I canceled my card and will never support Revolut in any way again. I will stick to real banks that take the time and responsibility to do their job properly. There are a lot of things to complain about with INF, Raiffeisen, Erste, Barclay's etc, but all of them, when I filed a complaint, actually did a thorough investigation and cared about my situation. Revolut is a flaming piece of garbage when it comes to this.

I am very disappointed with Revolut. They blocked my account and I was not able to get my money for like 2 weeks, then they closed my account without explanation and I am not able to reopen my account again. So thats my experience.

Stay away from these russian vultures and thieves.. The company might be registered in the UK and Lithuania but the owners are rsussian. If you happen to have a few thousand dollars/ euros, you card will be blocked and it could last from 1 or 2 weks to months. NO explanations Nothing. They use as a lame excuse the compliance laws. GIVE ME A BREAK- FOR A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS COMPLIANCE??? Meanwhile , while your funds are frozen, the russians are investing your money and getting rich. Here it is a chat with the bot Rita Dear Customer, I trust you are well. I can see your account has temporarily been restricted. I promise that we’ll do our best to get this fixed as soon as possible. This is just a security review whereby we simply need to check a few things about your account. It’s worth mentioning that we cannot provide you with a specific time frame when we’ll finalise the review, but rest assured that we’ll do our best to finish this as quickly as we can. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Best regards, Revolut Team And then the agent: We are currently reviewing your account and we will provide you with further details as soon as the review is finished. This is just a security review whereby we simply need to check a few things about your account. We understand your frustration but there is nothing wrong in your account and it is locked due to a standard verification only. Thank you so much for your understanding on this, it's truly appreciated. And this continues for a month.AND THEN, after you threaten them a lawsuit and TV and newspaper exposure, this is what happens: Hi Jerome. After reviewing your account, we're sorry to say that due to exceptional circumstances we're no longer able to offer you our services and we’ve made the decision to permanently close your account. Account closures are complex decisions and unfortunately this decision is final and can’t be appealed. Exceptional circumstances are that you are complaining to the authorities about these vultures. STAY AWAY FROM ANY FINANCIAL COMPANY FROM EASTERN EUROPE! YOU WILL GET FLEECED AND YOU WILL BITTERLY REGRET YOUR DECISION TO DEAL WITH RUSSIAN MOBSTERS. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PATHETIC THIEVES!! Why can't we give -100 stars ratings here?

On 29 March 2022, I tried to transfer an amount of DKK 4322 (≈ EUR 581) from Revolut to SaxoBank, where I have my share savings account. The transfer was rejected by SaxoBank, which returned the amount to the Revolut account from which I transferred the amount with the reason that the name of the sender did not match the name appearing on my receiver account at SaxoBank. SaxoBank assured me that they have returned the money to my Revolut account and that the amount would be visible in my Revolut account within 5 working days. It is now 1 March and the amount has still not been returned to my Revolut account, but Saxo has confirmed on several occasions that the amount HAS indeed been returned to my Revolut account and that the extended return time of the amount is probably due to Revolut having a common 'pool' to which the money is being transferred back to, where it will then has to be redirected to the specific Revolut user's account. I have tried to contact Revolut’s support through their only platform (chat) several times now and each time, you are told that they have contacted the payment processor, but NOTHING happens! I'm being made a fool of and held hostage in the process and being tossed around between several different agents in chat, with one Aleena even taking the cheek to close my chat despite the problem being in no way resolved! I am appalled that in these inflationary times, Revolut is holding its customers hostage over a simple bank transfer that should take no more than 5 working days to process, and that in this way it is behaving with complete indifference and disrespect towards your and my money. I am furious at the treatment I have received from Revolut and I expect to receive my money back and appropriate compensation for the pain and suffering I have suffered as soon as possible, otherwise I will be forced to take legal action to get MY money back!

This is just one giant pyramid scheme that is going to implode. A lot of people are going to lose their money. A lot of them already have. These wan**rs are getting rich while authorities do nothing. Had to open a second account after closing the first one myself ( read my first review) . A small refund was sent to a closed account and that's the only way I thought I would be able to retrieve it. Wasted a lot of time as usual on their chat speaking to moronic employees ,who eventually decided they would not refund the money. Yes it is official , I have it in their chat transcript : they have decided to keep the money that is not theirs. These scam artists need to be stopped before a lot of people lose a lot of money, you have been warned! Eastern European gangsters have found a legitimate way to rob people with authorities dong absolutely nothing about it. Remember when something is free , you are a product. Not only are they steeling customers' money they are also gathering valuable information that they may sell to other criminals. Its a win win for the wan***rs. All the positive reviewers (most of whom are "invited" IE paid or otherwise encouraged to praise them) just haven't had their money stolen, YET, but they will learn. EVENTUALLY. After all there is no shortage of stupid people on this planet! What you need to remember is that Revolut is not a bank it is not a financial institution, its a fin app (whatever the f* *k this is), it is not regulated in Ireland, what it means is: if they decide to keep your money under numerous excuses they use, there is absolutely nothing you can do! Nobody is going to help you. As simple as that!

I signed up for Revolut because of their great sounding offer for currency transfers and paid them for their premium service. All was well until they asked for my “source of funds” details. I provided this information but then got stuck in an endless loop of unreasonable requests for further information about myself and my husband. The customer service agents never answered my questions properly and I was worried my savings would get frozen. Shocked that I paid so much money to be treated this badly. My advice: definitely avoid their service except for dealing with trivial amounts of money, because of this catch, and certainly don’t pay for it.

Revolut was good to use until I was contacted by several different advisors about proof of my source of income. I have provided them with all I could, unfortunately day after day I got more messages from at least 12 different people to send all those documents again and again. It became annoying as I felt very uncomfortable sharing my savings, bank statements with so many different people employed online. Seem like there is no connection between advisors and sharing my data with all of them seems dangerous and very suspicious. No phone number to call, no answer just repeating messages to send my documents. Seriously I am very disappointed and actually worried now how my information will be use. All of you be careful. I started to believe this is some kind of scam !

Do not use REVOLUT. I am speaking from experience. We opened a business account with them last year and despite a few issues (you quite often have payments into your account fail wihich is apparently an issue with digital only banks) it has been mostly okay. Last week from nowhere we just get a message with a list of documents that need to be provided. From payroll payments to supplier transactions we need to provide proof for every transaction. Which we did. It has taken us hours every day to reply. In many cases the documents were rejected because they simply didn't bother to read them or invoice was in a different currency. We eventually thought we had completed this process after between 50-100 documents sent and today out of nowhere payments are suspended on our account. We were told we had 20 days to get everything to them. We got it all back within a week and without warning, payments suspended. The really beautiful thing about revolut is that you just can't talk to anyone. It's a big black box. There is no reasoning, no questions, no picking up the phone, no visiting your branch and speaking to a human who uses logic. You have one chat box which is generally useless and otherwise nothing you can do. Our money is currently being held by a big anonymous entity that we cannot even speak to. No indication of how or when we can use our own funds. Use them at your own peril as one flick of someones keypad in their back office and your business is done and you have absolutely no way of speaking to anyone about it.

I have been cast into the seventh level of hell with the worst support people ever ever. They locked my account for no reason and then ignored me for hours while I uploaded document after document which they clearly didn’t even read before asking for the same thing again. I had the same experience trying to open a business account too. Waiting days for useless responses. Talking to support is like talking to automatons with no brain! Escalation is a waste of time as the “supervisors” were as incomprehensible and useless as their staff. AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS! No doubt they will respond with some platitudes and point me back into the myre and morass of their woeful support chat app which is their way of avoiding responsibility for my issue and ever really caring enough to resolve it. Thanks but no thanks.

Revolut blocked my money on April 16, while they review my sources of income. I provided all the info and they rejected to unfreeze the money. This smells like a FRAUD and we all need to unite together and fill a lawsuit against them. REVOLUT is the BIGGEST SCAM BANK. https://www.fintechfutures.com/2020/09/revolut-faces-lawsuit-in-romania-over-blocked-account/
