Traveled 12 miles to Exeter to check out new TV and DVD player. Arrived at shop door at 11.30,I pushed the bell, after a few minutes a chap partly opened the door and said yes !!! I said I would like to browse you TVs.....He said word for word, you can come in if you know what you want but we closed for browsing..?!!!! Much better than Faulty Towers.....

Traveled 12 miles to Richer Sounds Exeter with the view of purchasing a new TV and a DVD player. After pushing security button at 11.30 a chap eventually opened the door and said what do you want (not can i help or good morning)!!! I then said i would like to browse your TVs ...... His answer was sorry we are not open for browsing and promptly closed the door...A real life John Cleese.....

Swapped TV for a used one.... phoned to reserve a new TV...travelled 30 miles to store....cocky sales guy said here it is, we have just taken it off the wall today. It's like that one on the wall.....Basically they knew I was coming to get the new one but they swapped the new with their one on the wall! Idiots! Walked out and bought a better TV from curry 2 miles away...hence I will never ever attempt to buy something from richer sounds Exeter again.

I will no longer be taking my custom with Richer Sounds anymore. They are happy to sell you defective product but resist to offer you a further replacement after three faulty TVs (within the 6 Year Warranty Guarantee), or a refund. After 2 years with my LG 55EG910V TV, it began to exhibit defects such as 8 dead pixels and severe vertical banding, along with switching itself off randomly after 30 minutes or more. This occurred in November 2018. After taking numerous photos for evidence so Richer Sounds could send an engineer out to replace the panel, and running various picture tests/pixel tests (which was ineffective of improving the issues) on the TV, the second panel exhibited awful pink tinting to the right side and left side of the screen, as well as green tint in the middle of the screen, whereby none of the colours were uniform. I was asked again to submit photos for review, and the one of your colleagues on the line tried to suggest my my new, premium HDMI cable must be faulty, or something connected to the TV is faulty. The tinting was present on all devices and also freeview. Upon my second replaced panel, the screen exhibited even worse tinting and extremely severe grey uniformity. I had the engineer provided by Richer Sounds come out yet again in February 2019, who took photos of the defects but claimed that this is normal and is within the ‘manufacture specifications’ (when it was not before, and was previously considered as a defect) and it would be unlikely another replacement or a refund could be issued. He did say that I should receive confirmation regarding the final decision on the photos he submitted for review, and did confirm that the pink tint was very noticeable and distracting. But alas, I did not receive any further confirmation or decision regarding the photos via email or telephone. Well, that’s £1,399 down the drain. Richer Sounds’ 6 Year Warranty Guarantee means nothing. They are happy to sell you defective TVs, or replace them with far worse, defective TV panels, and claim that is normal, and you should put up it.

Advised I needed a digital cable to make a blue tooth transmitter I was also advised on, to work from a television I purchased. Not only did I not need the cable, as one was supplied with the item (did not need that either), but when I contacted them to return it, I was advised they would charge me for returning it. I had never heard of this cable but took the advice of supposedly knowledgeable sales guy. Never again. Just be warned if they advise wrongly, you will be responsible for all return costs. Cowboys.

Appalling service. I bought a TV from Richer Sounds, arranged date and time for delivery. It failed to arrive at scheduled time. I lost half a day’s pay waiting for their delivery. Cancelled order, and requested refund. No refund after one week waiting. Numerous phone calls later and despite "promises" from Richer Sounds that I would be refunded I still haven't been. This is the second time this has a happened with Richer Sounds, I unfortunately went through the very same process last year- buying goods from them- failed to arrive at allocated time, then me spending weeks trying to get my money back. I suppose I should have learnt from my initial experience. But perhaps others will.

We bought a Sony 49xe9005 in March this year from the time we had this Tv we were having problems setting everything on this system would take time the worst problem with this Tv is connecting it to the internet and the chrome cast absolutely rubbish if I had cash to burn I would throw this junk in the skip and buy a Panasonic,This Tv would just drop out of internet connection and then it would take forever to connect again I did everything by the book from disconnecting the Tv from the mains rebooting the system and factory resetting the Tv what a nightmare I even contacted BT my internet provider I cannot Thank them enough the signal on all of my tablets my desktop and printer and my google chrome cast which is connected to a basic not even a smart Tv upstairs in our bedroom the wi-fi signal is going through the roof my BT router is placed down stairs in our living room and that’s where the Sony Tv is.I contacted Richersounds on a few occasions and to be honest with you they do not care we payed £1000 for this Tv what a bad buy the main thing that attracts customers is the 6 year warranty that’s about it We have had this system for 9 monthsWe are so disappointed we have had no joy at all with this Tv Even when I contacted Sony I explained the problem to them and then I even had to go through the whole thing of rebooting and resetting the Tv again although I registered with them as soon as I bought this Tv they still wanted the model number the serial number copies of the purchase receipts including V.A.T numbers what a load of nonsense did they think I bought this of the back of a lorry I contacted Richersounds they said it’s standard procedure they need to know what the problem is so they could get the necessary parts and fix the problem on site in your home not like most companies would come and take the Tv away for repair but Hello, what did Sony do they took the Tv away because they needed to know what the problem was they returned the Tv after a week since We’ve had it back we have new problems with it all of a sudden a red screen with lines running across with a loud distorted noise that would make you jump picture pixelation the Tv turning it self off a pink coloured screen the Tv switching off and the stand by light flashing in orange or red, please please do not buy a Sony.

cyber monday deal that arrives 7 working days late, false advertising. Advertised stock of a samsung tv and the website says 5 working day delivery which should have been friday 30th november. called to complain and was told that i should have clicked on the delivery note at the bottom of their site to read up about deliveries taking up to 7 days. So the 5 days listed on the order page was a load of b-ll. When complained saying i could have got it from johnlewis sooner they would not help or offer any form of apology just kept saying it on their web site. So they actually want customers to look all over their site before buying. Best practise i have to say. Customer service cant even be bothered to deal with complaint, asked to speak to manager and got through to the same useless person i spoke to on monday when the tv still had not turned up. so after 20 mins on the phone manager is not available. Would i buy from them again no way.

Made sure to buy my Hisense M7000 from Richer Sounds after reading through the various forums about their "excellent" warranty. Never thought I'd need it, but better to be on the safe side. After a year of using the TV, I came to pull out one of the attached devices via HDMI (the HDMI port on the TV had only ever had that one device attached to it and not moved since purchased). As I pulled it out, the whole HDMI port came out of the TV! Looking a bit deeper it became apparent that they hadn't soldered in the port well. Called Richer Sounds without hesitation, thinking this should be easily resolved. After all, they have one of the best warranties out there. To my shock/surprise, they could offer no help at all. After describing the fault I was told that this is normal "wear and tear", and would not be covered. No interest in coming out to even assess the fault at all despite my futile attempts to explain the port was faulty from the manufacturer. Several emails and a complaint to head office met with complete silence. Never again will I purchase from Richer Sounds. Whether I was just unlikely with them or not, its not a company I can trust again. Be very wary about their warranty or buying from them. False sense of security.

There price match is a joke as they offer a 6 year warranty that no one else does and refuse to match price of other company. Staff are rude when explaining there price match means nothing.

I understood that Richer Sounds had a reputation for good customer services however this was certainly not my experience. We bought a £500 LCD television from them in the sale and then stored it in a safe place until work on our house was finished. Upon unpacking and turning on the television that TV display was cracked. Richer Sounds customer service were frankly rude and implied that I had damaged the TV myself even though I sent them pictures which clearly showed the protective wrapping still on the TV. Moreover the record from their courier documented that the box was damaged upon receipt. We were not called back when it was promised that we would be and their team were exceptionally arrogant and smug. In future I will take my business to John Lewis!

As I was always an admirer of richer sounds for its service and Price, the recent purchase put that in doubt. I live in Swindon and Bought a 65” Samsung television on 24th of Feb, from your Oxford branch which is 35 miles away from me. As the TV was too big to fit in my car I asked for a door Delivery and it is been agreed with the sales Person as first thing to do on following Monday the 26th as it was a Saturday. Taking that into account I arranged for a Handyman to fix it on Wednesday the 28th, and took a day off on that day and even sorted out for child minding my little one. Just to confirm the delivery, I rang the Store on Tuesday the 27th, only to be informed that the Person who sold the TV forgot to book the delivery and apologies from the staff who spoke to me, which did not help me in anyway. I was told I would not get the TV delivered until next week. What shocked me was, the Person said That I Can get the refund If I am not Happy, which I am, in that moment. But what kind of Salesperson would refund for the mistake done by them. Later the Store manager rang me and said the same as the previous Person and confirmed me the Delivery for next week along with an apology. And after all snow delayed the delivery further more days and I finally got my TV after 2 weeks of Buying it. Would have been easier for me if I price matched you with Local John Lewis. But nobody seemed to worried about what I lost on that day for one of your staff’s blunder. Next time I would give a second thought if I have to come Richer sound and might have to advice my friends and family the same.

We went into Richer sounds, Exeter. We ordered a bundle advertised on their website - turntable and BT speakers. The assistant ordered the wrong speakers (not BT) which we discovered on our return home and so had to telephone them to correct their error. Two days later they phoned to say that the black speakers were no longer available but the same spec speakers in white were available for another £100. Order cancelled. Elsewhere there is no difference in price between black and white.

Purchased a Hisense TV Model Number: H40M3300 on 01/01/2017. 11 months later the TV will not change channels and volume does not work. Richer sounds put me straight through to Hisense repair company who told me the mainboard needed changing. First reported the fault on the 5th December and 3 and half weeks later I still have a broken TV. The repair company had to order in the part from somewhere. No one nows how long it will take. Christmas with a broken TV. Richer sounds say they can't do anything more...TV only 11 months old. Used to always use Richer Sounds...but no more.
