They say they will price match. Filled in an online form asking for price match but was refused even though the competitor was offering exactly the same item. False advertising?

Absolutely terrible! Went to the branch in Oxford to buy a tv which was advertised as sale but ended up paying a lot more. Misleading advertising and unprofessional staff!

If I could put zero stars I would, phoned up to order a benq projector on Sunday at 3.40 ish ,asked if it was in stock the man said its coming from our warehouse, asked was it definitely in stock,I was told there are 2 available, so I said to order it, when will I get it ,I was told 5 to 7 days ,phoned up the following Saturday and asked why I had not received an email receipt.the man called Thomas spoke to the man I was dealing with on Sunday and came back saying I was told on Sunday it was out of stock lies from the richer sound people, then to be told two people bought the same projector at the same time as me so no stock left for my order probably more lies as there was probably no stock when I asked now its not going to be here within the 5 to 7 day period stated .DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE TOTALLY MESS YOU ABOUT.WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN,IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE GO TO PETER TYSON MUCH BETTER PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.

Hi: bought set hi fi floor standing speakers cost nr £3000. Purchased my 948 focal being informed by richer sounds that the cambridge audio equipment was all adequate for these speakers: speakers went wrong in dec 2022 delivered them to shop which is extremely difficult due size them, we are now may 2023 and i still have no speakers: due fact they are made france: i believe u could walk the distance france and back 5 months: richer sounds use every possible excuse they can once had money they do Not provide the service you would expect when you spend big sums money: ive spent a fortune with richer sounds : 5 months to carry out a repair ? In may now 2023 maybe its the old covid excuse or the cost of importation: if you want specialist equipment with good after sales avoid richer sounds very helpful taking money :do wonder what they feel like if carried out work for them personally at there house and told them cant return for 5 months ? Be warmed they will make the sale on you: your using the equipment wrong there after: and those who no what they talking about they try to use every excuse they can i stood for hour in there shop to prove my speakers had gone wrong and all along they did not want turn the volume control on there amp above halfway ?

I bought a TV for a new house and did not unpack it until I had moved in, a few weeks later. Screen was then seen to be badly cracked. They refused to accept any liability (thereby accusing me of lying) and only after several emails and two telephone calls did they offer to send (as a gesture of goodwill!) a replacement if I paid a further £100 on top of the original cost of £299. I had no alternative but to accept, since the alternatives were i) for me to write off the whole £299 and buy another TV elsewhere or ii) instruct solicitors to seek reimbursement in full. Both options would have cost more than the £100 they proposed. I bought from Richer Sounds firstly, because it is a large and reputable organisation and secondly, because I had purchased from the company previously, and had no complaints. On this occasion, however, the company's behaviour has been extremely poor, and it has displayed its greedy, bullying nature. Do not use Richer Sounds, if you are looking for a company that will treat you well, if something goes wrong that is not your fault. Disgraceful after-sales customer service. Interesting to read an earlier review (Declan) which recounted an identical scenario and he apparently did receive a free replacement! Some discrimination there, I think. Richer Sounds - review and comment on our different experiences and why I am being charged for the replacement.

Appalling company, we would never buy from them again. They attempted to charge for delivery whereas the television was advertised as "FREE" delivery. The actual delivery was problematic throughout, the drivers were rude, unfriendly and in so much of a rush they damaged the staircase wall. Richer Sounds excuse was that deliveries times are scheduled and they don't have the time to be polite and careful in customers properties. They refused to compensate us for the damaged wallpaper say that the wall looked like bare plaster even though we are disabled pensioners incapable of doing any DIY. After much argument Richer Sounds reluctantly agreed to refund the incorrect delivery charge, adding that we could buy a tin of paint with the refund. Their moto is ""We genuinely want you to be a customer for life". Well they failed miserably in our case.

6 Year Warranty? Very poor & frustrating experience unfortunately Most people are attracted to RS for their claim of 6 years warranty.

STAY AWAY***** Bought a 75inch TV samsung and a HK soundbar in 2019 . They gave me 5 year gurantee. Just in 2 years both tv and soundbar stopped working . We contacted them and its been 3 weeks they keep telling us parts ordered etc etc. Absolutely shocking customer service. I would stay away as when it comes to using the 5 years guarantee thing it wont help you at all.

I bought a Samsung TV from Richer Sounds, and it has become faulty within 6 months, and they won't replace it. I spoke with Samsung, and they advised that they couldn't repair it, but Richer Sounds won't replace or refund it. I am having to take this to my credit card company, and then small claims court which I shouldn't have the hassle of doing. Terrible customer service, and the last time I will buy from them which is a shame, as I have bought all my TV's from them.

They used to be the cheapest in the UK selling quality products at low prices but now they're the same as Currys and every other electrical shop

We purchased our tv in March last year after shopping around. We opted for richer sounds based on a recommendation and due to their extended warranty. From the get go the tv didn’t work well, and would freeze on a regular basis. The only way to get it working again was to unplug at the mains and start again. We tried going through technical support but the problem persisted. Eventually we rang richer sounds and asked them to fix it under our warranty to be told we had to go via the manufacturer who said they’d take it away for a minimum of 7-10 days to repair it during which time we’d have no replacement. We questioned this with richer sounds who said they’d give us a courtesy tv for £200! Eventually and after much deliberation they offered to take our faulty tv as the deposit and gave us a courtesy one. Our tv is a 50” smart tv and they gave us a 32” which quite frankly looked ridiculous, but worse still when we got it home and set it up the smart features didn’t work! We rang immediately to be told they’d never give out a faulty tv and more or less accused us of lying. They also said that after a whole day of using our faulty tv there was nothing wrong with it and we’d made that up too. We told them it didn’t happen every day but might happen five times on some days, but again they were having none of it. The manager on the phone was quite frankly rude and defensive, not remotely sympathetic. We’ve driven a 20 mile round trip twice this weekend and sacrificed time with family. Who would do that if there wasn’t a problem? We’re so disappointed and feel at a loss now, and have been left with the faulty tv after all. Appalling.

I purchased a TV from Richer Sounds end of November in their "Black Friday" sale* for a room which was being decorated in December. Once Xmas was out of the way I opened and set up the new TV for use in early January. The picture was poor as blacks were not displaying and contrast was too low. As such I called Richer Sounds after sales customer help line as was hoping for some technical assistance. I explained the issue to the less than happy customer adviser. I did not receive any technical assistance re picture settings etc. at all and was solely asked to confirm if I was unhappy with the purchase, which I did. I was then told only option would be a 15% restocking fee + paying courier fee (as was purchased online) to return the TV for credit note, not for refund (I actually wanted to exchange for a different TV set). The TV was as new and I still had all of the packaging. Further, and to make matters worse, I stupidly believed the prices in Richer Sounds Black Friday sale* would be the lowest they offer but today I checked the TV on the Richer Sounds website and saw they are selling it for £50 less than they were in the Black Friday sale*. So all in all I bought a TV which was not fit for purpose, then received zero technical assistance and then on trying to return the TV (just over 30 days due Xmas period) was told would be 15% restocking fee plus courier fee. John Lewis would never. AVOID Richer Sounds and shop with John Lewis for a FAR (x 1 million) more pleasant and professional experience. * for 'sale' read 'price increase'

Originally purchased an AG9 which went faulty after 3 days so decided to swop it for a 55xg9505 instead as i wasn't too keen on oled jitter, so I'd previously spoke to the store who said they had 1 new one in stock, went to the store to collect it and noticed it had an lg laminated advertisement stuck to the box which was removed promptly didn't think anything of it, got the tv home started to unpack first thing noticed the mains lead and plug were not wrapped up including the cable tie retainer already clipped inside the back of the tv dead giveaway already, then thought cannot be bothered going back to the store this was my 4th trip already, then started to unwrap the screen which the blue little tape tabs were damaged so it's obviously been peeled off already and then fingerprints on the screen lol, by this point i thought I'd keep it if there was no damage to screen and the fact i got the tv £100 cheaper with a discount code and the fact it has a 6 year warranty, but i will not be making anymore purchases from sounds if this is standard practice.

My girl friend bought Yamaha hifi from Richer Sounds. Delivery was perfect. The hifi failed to set up after I followed the instructions. I returned the item to the Chelsea Richer Sounds store and was told because the box had been opened I would have to pay a 15% charge. The hifi was in my possession for about 3 hours and from my perspective it just didn't work as it should have done. I accepted the reduced refund as this experience was very frustrating and a waste of my time. I would not recommend buying anything from this store.
