Absolutely terrible mortgage company. Rejected us due to an unused credit card initially then when they finally overcame this issue, would not give us a mortgage for a property with planning permission (despite us stating we did not want to use it). Went with Halifax and they were much more reasonable.

The very worst place to bank. Going into branch isn’t necessary so much now but if you need to use the Woolwich branch don’t bother.they are very rude. I witnessed a poor man today trying to close his mums account as she had died. The person he spoke to refused to speak privately and made him do the business in public. I have had the same problems with them. My account will be closed.

Santander closed my business account without giving me any reason and sent me a cheque in my business name. With my business account closed where am I supposed cash the cheque. The best bit about it is that there bounce back loan installments were coming out of the Santander business account that they have now closed. Where's the logic in this??

I've been scammed by a company that no longer exists and only did exist to scam consumers. I reported the issue to Santander hoping to active a back-charge procedure and get my money back. I tried reporting the issue on the app but the app was out of order at that time - a common occurrence with Santander. I phoned the help service and reported the issue. The call was successfully logged but in the two and a half weeks since then, I've received no word or update. I was assured I'd be updated within a week of logging the complaint. This coupled with the constant problem of the ATMs being out of service and the fact that I've previously been scammed with Santander providing no assistance has left me no choice but to take my money elsewhere. Would strongly discourage anyone from considering Santander.

Had fraudulent activity on my card. So they don't issue cards there it takes 10 business today makes 13 business days still no card trying to tell mt creditors this but, think I'm lying. Even FedEx express can't deliver on time. Most banks you can get a new card right at the bank. Not good.

Customer service appalling. They don't listen, read or reply to letters and e-mails Deny having received payment from insurance company even after they have cleared the payment. Virtually impossible to contact by telephone and are unhelpful when you do manage to get through. They don't even deserve one star ... Avoid this shower at all costs!

WAITING FOR A (SAR) FOR 3 YEARS.INSTEAD RECIEVED NOTHING BUT MISTRUTHS AND INCOMPETENCE INSTEAD.STILL WAITING TO RECIEVE MY INFORMATION AFTER REPEATEDLY CALLING SANTANDER AND VISITING SANTANDER BRANCH FOR THIS SIMPLE TASK TO BE PERFORMED.EITHER THEY ARE ALARMINGLY AND BEYOND INCOMPETENT OR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY HAS OCCURED WITH MY ACCOUNT AND STILL NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT THIS AFTER TELLING SANTANDER FOR 3 YEARS OF THIS OCCURANCE TO MULTIPLE SANTANDER STAFF.THIS BANK IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE AND BEYOND COMPREHENSION.

On October 9,24 I wired a large amount of money from boa to my girlfriend to start a business Santander bank freeze her account and I did wire recall from Boa but Santander bank refuse to return my funds Santander bank refused to communicate with boa ignoring wired recall and they stole my money I had well documented evidence of my claim
