“This company is absolutely fraudulent. I was charged £79 without ever knowingly signing up, creating an account, or agreeing to any subscription. I didn’t receive any confirmation, login, or welcome email—nothing at all to suggest I had an active account.
There was also no mention of a 3-day free trial anywhere when the £1 was taken — and certainly nothing to justify a £79 charge afterward. This is deceptive and unethical.
When I contacted them, they tried to offer me only 20% back, which is completely unacceptable for a transaction I never authorized. Their explanation was vague and dishonest.
I’ve reported this to my bank as fraud, and I’m warning others: stay away from this company. Their practices are misleading, and they take money without proper consent or notice.”
“We had a similar experience when trying to obtain our flight check in for Sky Express.
We clicked on the incorrect link and was taken to mytrip.com. I fee of 1€ was requested and we assumed that this was standard procedure for Sky Express only to discover 3 days later that a further 79€ had been taken from our account. We didn’t sign anything but apparently buried deep in the small print is a clause saying that if we didn’t cancel our “membership “ then the 79€ would be taken on a recurring quarterly basis.
Unfortunately telephone conversations and emails failed to resolve this situation to our satisfaction.
Unethical and unprofessional and possibly illegal practice in our opinion. We would never use this “service “ again….be wary what you click on,the top link may not be the one that you need.”
“I am absolutely appalled by my experience with TripOnline. I signed up under the impression that I was accessing a free trial, only to discover—without any clear warning—that £79 had been quietly taken from my account just three days later.
There was no obvious communication about this so-called "three-day trial" leading to a £79 charge. It's clearly a tactic designed to catch people off guard, relying on users not noticing until it’s too late. This is not just poor practice—it’s deliberately misleading.
Their approach is disingenuous, bordering on theft. It feels like they intentionally hide the real cost, hoping you won’t notice until after they’ve helped themselves to your money. Utterly disgraceful.
I’ve demanded that all future payments be cancelled and expect no further attempts to withdraw funds. The fact that this sort of predatory model is still allowed to operate is shocking.
Avoid this company at all costs. Shady, deceptive, and deeply unethical.”
“I booked a flight with Ryanair. When it was time to get my boarding pass I went to Ryanair website and followed the instructions. It turned out that I had to pay one euro in order to get my boarding pass. There was something in small letters about paying an application for 79 euros, but I thought : I did not download their app so this doesn't apply to me. But after 3 days they tried to extract 79 euros from my account, which, luckily, my bank denied because they suspected fraud. I had to cancel my card, otherwise they may try to extract more money. I don't understand why Ryanair works together with this scam company!”
“Purchased a fast track ticket at an airport (worked perfectly) got home to find that I've been added to a subscription service charging £70 every 3 months.
No refund, awful customer service. Stay away!”
“I bought two FastLane tickets from My Trip Online and only later discovered I had been enrolled in a so-called “subscription” without any clear notice or informed consent.
They kept charging my credit card without authorization. They ignored my emails, and the customer service number they list doesn’t even work. This is classic deception. When I contested the charges well within the legal 14-day cooling-off period, they hid behind vague small print and a “free trial” I never knowingly agreed to.
According to the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), I am entitled to cancel within 14 days unless I explicitly waived that right, which I did not. I’ve now filed a chargeback with my credit card company and forwarded all correspondence as evidence.
This company preys on busy travelers, hiding critical information in fine print at the worst possible moment. In my opinion, this is predatory and unethical, scammers.
Do not trust them. Avoid at all costs.”
“Please NEVER book with this company!!!
My wife was supposed to take a flight with me, but she couldn’t because her mother had a medical emergency and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.
I filed a claim with MyTrip, and they told me I had to pay a penalty for changing the ticket, plus the fare difference, and an additional $40 service fee for their work.
Later, I found out that this change should have been free due to a medical emergency.
They never informed me of this and instead tried to charge me $1,800 to change a ticket that originally cost $600 round trip.
It’s been 9 days, and I’m still waiting for them to make the change at no cost. Every time I call, they just say, “Be patient.”
Do not use this service if you don’t want to ruin your trip.”
“Disappointing Experience with "Flexible" Flight Booking
I booked a flight through Trip.com that was clearly labeled as flexible, expecting I would be able to change or reschedule if needed. However, when I contacted the airline directly, I was informed that my ticket was not flexible and changes were not allowed.
I reached out to Trip.com for clarification and refund options for rescheduling, but unfortunately, no refund was processed and the support was not helpful in resolving the issue.
This experience was very disappointing and misleading. If flexibility is advertised, it should be honored. I urge Trip.com to be more transparent with ticket conditions and provide better customer service in such cases.”
“Booked a flight and the payment went through. Then I don't get an order confirmation from the company.
If you then talk to customer service they say there has been some IT trouble and the money will probably be back in a few days.
The money has been deducted from my account and I have not received any money or ticket back.
Avoid Mytrip, Gotogate, Flight Network, Supersaver Travel, Etraveli which is run by the Swedish Travel Group. Pay a little extra and you will avoid a lot of headaches!”
“The company is not good. I had a bad experience with them. I purchased a ticket, but it was the wrong one. I called them to pay with the correct card and only then cancel the mistake I made. They refused and charged me a cancellation fee. All of this happened in half an hour. I do not recommend them. You should avoid them as well”
“Even with a subscription, you pay the same amount for fast track as you would without a subscription. There is no service that they offer that can't be done easily and often free like checking in for your flight. It's a scam.”
“*A Disappointing Experience in Darjeeling – Not Worth the Hype*
I had high hopes for Darjeeling, often glorified as the "Queen of Hills," but my recent visit turned out to be a deeply disappointing experience. The city, sadly, is far from the picturesque charm it once promised.
Garbage litters the streets everywhere. From marketplaces to so-called tourist spots, cleanliness appears to be the last priority. There is a complete lack of waste management, and the constant stench makes it nearly unbearable to walk around and explore.
Hygiene is another major concern. Most eateries serve food in unhygienic conditions, and the quality is mediocre at best. Even popular restaurants and cafes lack basic cleanliness standards, leaving you constantly worried about falling sick.
Hotel prices are absurdly high for what they offer. Despite charging premium rates, guests are forced to request—even beg—for basic amenities like clean towels, running hot water, or proper room service. There’s little hospitality, and most staff seem either overwhelmed or indifferent.
Darjeeling has unfortunately become a poorly maintained, overpriced, and overrated destination. Unless there’s a serious effort to improve the city’s infrastructure, cleanliness, and hospitality, I strongly advise against visiting. Save your money and peace of mind—explore other hill stations that actually care about their visitors.”
“Worst company I've EVER dealt with.
They use dark UX patterns in their flight booking flow, so you end up paying for things you don't want or need, and their customer service is beyond a joke.”
“Do not book via Mytrip!
I am still waiting for my refund since my request in November. They already received the money from the airline, but they do not pay me out for like 5 months. I don't know how long it will take....”
“We were told to hold off on linking a child's ticket to an adult's for this Summer until April. This 'advice' was given in January. When calling again to do this we are told my Trip cannot link tickets. Furthermore prices have almost tripled between January and April. Previous complaints are just me with sorry over and over again. Agents cannot or will not offer any solutions. We cancelled and booked directly with an airline, losing us €1000.”
“We booked a flight with AirAsia through Mytrip and it was scheduled to fly on March 27th. We arrived at the airport that day to find out that the flight had been cancelled and that an email had been sent to Mytrip by AirAsia about the schedule change. However, on our MyTrip itinerary it still had the cancelled date as the day we were to fly, and we hadn't received anything from Mytrip about this change. We we were put on the flight two days later, but lost our hotel bookings and taxi fares. When we contacted MyTrip we were told that this was the airline's fault and that we needed to contact that airline about reimbursements for our losses. At first they insisted that they did send us an email, but when pressed on this couldn't provide the email details. We were then hung up on a couple of times and had very rude staff telling us we were out of luck. It was a horrible experience.”
