“The quality of the bedding is great, but the sizing lets it down. I bought the king size cover but it doesn't seem to match the king size duvet inner. It's too large which means there's a good approx. 10cm extra of fabric. This means that the fabric can get caught up around you which is fairly annoying. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't just hoped for the best and instead bought from somewhere else that didn't have comments/feedback about the sizing.”

“Hello, Hoping this helps you progress. The quality of the linen is good, it feels very nice. However, the size of the duvet cover is slightly bigger than your regular duvet (I bought super king) and that means the edges are loose, which is not ideal. Also, a slightly higher finish would have been expected - wooden buttons instead of plastic, open end edges for easier sliding of the duvet, slightly nicer finish on the pillow cover too - they are a bit basic). This is priced exactly at the same level of other brands like piglet, and I would have expected a touch better on the design.”

“I have liked my previous purchases from the secret linen store but this time I am a bit disappointed. Honestly, the thickness of the duvet cover and sheet isn't great, I can see through both of them, they lack a feeling of quality so probably wouldn't purchase again.”

“We’ve bought from Secret Linen Store a view times, duvet, covers and pillow cases. Always good service and comms and lovely linens but our recent purchase of a sheet to fit Super King is just too small. It’s sold as a king/super king and would be great for a king. We have a standard size Super King mattress and thickness but the sheet is too mean in proportions (think they’re hoping it’s acceptable and save supply of a bigger sheet), but it comes untucked very very easily and is a stress every night. Would have changed but used and bought specifically to match colour of other products from them. Real shame.”

“The pewter grey knitted throw was fine and used a lot. The winter white marl knitted throw was awful. The wool fibres moulted very badly, they stuck to all our clothes and other furniture as well as shedding vast amounts of fibres in quite large balls all over the house. I tried to solve the problem by dry cleaning it and then washing it, neither worked. I threw it out.”

“We have two duvet covers, the French 100% linen and the coastal stripe cover. Both are luxuriously comfortable and soft. My only complaint is that after less than a year of owning the coastal stripe cover, FIVE buttons have broken off, leaving just the two at either corner to hold this together. Given the cost of the duvets, I'd expect much better quality across the whole item, not just the fabric.”

“Beautiful quality but unfortunately one of the pilowcases was of a larger size to what I order but after I disposed of the packaging and had guess due I still used it but obviously it was odd . Other than that I love the product .”

Hello Inga Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent order with us... …. as you have a set of out lovely 100% linen, this will get better with washing and snoozing. we would recommend washing the linen at a low temperature, around 40 degrees and if you add a little fabric conditioner in with your wash this will be the icing on the cake.

“Hi, as you may remember I returned some pillowcases as the colours were nowhere near as vibrant as displayed on your website & received another pair in return. The original call I made about them felt like I wasnt being believed, whcih wasnt cool. But, all of the email communication was incredibly helpful & enthusiastic. The 2nd pair was definitely more 'blue' but still there's so much grey in all of the pillowcases/cushion covers i ordered so much so that the purple & the blue are virtually identical in colour. I see that you've since changed the photos (or some of them) online to be more in line with how they Actually look. I must say it's a shame that they're not as bright & beautiful as the original photos but i'm happy enough to keep them & do enjoy them ...tho would have Loved the ones i saw initially as the colours were just gorgeous.”

“Their sheets are nice-- but they use so much plastic in their packaging that I have switched to another company that cares more about our environment. I encourage Secret Linen to look into using only paper and cardboard, as other linen stores are now doing.”

Hi Naomi, Great to hear from you. We are investigating this, but its very hard to keep our product clean if we dont use some plastic for protection. In a dirty warehouse, it would be very hard to manage. We also need to be able to see the product, to make sure we have the correct products in the order, which again is hard with paper, we have some of our bedding packed in paper already, and will continue to avoid plastic as much as we can. Our plastic is all 100% recyclable which is great. We don't have ant extra printed cards inside. As i said, thanks for your support, and we will continue to try to find a way to get around it. “I purchased the Sateen Smooth linen in the sale but now realise that it must be designed for the summer? The material is rather flimsy and creases terribly. I wasn't over the moon, maybe the linen material is better?”

“Your service is very good. Offer of free of charge fabric conditioner when I wasn't happy with the feel of the bedding I bought. Friendly communication. However inferior product quality, apart from the lack of softness it also feels flimsy and snags really easy.wouldn't buy it again or recommend. That said it is only one particular product I am reviewing, others may be better.”
