“As many other posters have already noted, there seem to be a number of fake profiles on this site. For the first week or so my In-box filled up every day even though there isn't much info or a recognizable pic in my profile. At least 90% if not all of those girls making the first move by writing seem to be fake. The message is usually something very brief and banal ("Hey, how are you?" style) - just enough for the guy to spend 10 credits to able to open the message. If you then reply to these, no matter if it's a few words, an essay or anything in between, chances are you won't get any response! And that even though some of those "girls" are clearly online every day. Another thing to watch out for: Anyone who sends you a message or a "like" without ever having visited your profile, is most likely fake. Looking at the couple positive reviews here on 'reviews.io', these appear suspiciously verbose and read like out of a marketing brochure. All that being said, there are in fact some real and serious girls on this site, but those usually aren't the ones sending you a message right away (don't waste your credits on those). Last but not least, it seems there are quite a few more men on this site than (real!) women, suggested by the fact that two girls I communicated with told me they were overwhelmed with responses.”

“Secret Benefits is obviously a SCAM. Here's how it appears to work:
You start by logging on and submitting a profile.
Soon after, the first wave of a steady stream of enticing female member messages arrives in your mailbox. You can see the profiles -- typically
very attractive 20-something girls -- but you can't open the messages.
Unlike most dating sites that require you to purchase an all-inclusive membership by month, Secret Benefits requires that you buy "tokens" in
order to read and reply to the messages. To begin, your minimum investment is $60 for enough tokens to open a dialog with 10 members.
So it costs you $6 every time you read and reply to a message.
Soon after you make this initial investment, an suspicious pattern emerges. All of these girls that were so anxious to communicate with you
before you submitted your credit card suddenly lose interest. You reply to their messages, but they are suddenly quiet. Crickets!
But so you don't get discouraged, you'll likely get one response. The response is pretty generic, as if it's generated by a bot.
Here's an example of one that I received:
"I’m particularly interested in a partner that holds my pleasure as the primary thing. A slave who takes his time in studying each and every corner of my body."
And one response is all you get. You reply, but there is no continuing dialog. Reply to that message and the result is the same -- crickets.
But one response suggests that the girls you see in the profiles are real. Just enough to keep you hooked.
Or you may get a response that will be so discouraging that you don't even want to follow up. For example, "My boyfriend doesn't want me to
do this, but I think it would be good for all of my kids." Who wants to reply to that???
By now, your 10 replies are used up. Well . . . in for a penny in for a pound, so you decide to re-up one more time.
Only now, the $60 offer is gone. This time, you must pony up $90. But at least you get 20 hits for that increase. And so many women are messaging you!
Newly armed with your filled bucket of "tokens," you reply to more incoming messages. But the result is the same. You get just enough
generic responses to keep you interested. And no follow ups to your replies.
By the time you realize that the site is a scam, you're out $150. At least, you hopefully realize it by this point! If you don't you're in for more.

“Pretty much a scam as far as I can tell. Bought 10 credits. Received about 30 messages. Of the 10 I paid for, 2 responded to my initial message but never got beyond pleasantries. I think women must be paid to send messages with no commitment to actually follow through”

“I joined SB earlier this year and really enjoyed the platform, it wasn’t until a couple of months later that I realized my account had been reduced to limited access (I couldn’t send or receive messages, not viewable in search results).
Thoroughly confused by this, I reached out to customer service and they could not provide me with any information as to why they limited my access. So I did not know if it was something that was fixable on my end. After spending a week trying to resolve the issue, with NO effort on the customer support side, I decided to delete my account.
Fast forward a couple months later and I tried to create a new account, hoping that I wouldn’t experience any issues. After a day, my account was again dropped to limited access without communication. It wasn’t until I reached out to customer support that I found out.
They failed to provide me with any details on how I could resolve this issue. I thoroughly read through all of the terms both times this occurred and could not understand what I had breach as I had followed ALL proper instructions and even had some great experiences from the site.
I have been very disappointed in the lack of communication that customer support has provided and feel as if there is no effort being made to help a consumer resolve a serious issue, being that if I can’t send or receive messages, there is really no point of me being on the platform.
I have been sugar dating for several years now and have tried various different websites, this is the first I have come across to have any issues of this nature. It is very unfortunate, I hope that they change their policies so they can help provide more insight into situations similar to mine. As a consumer, I appreciate transparency, this is something that I have found extremely lacks with this website. Knowing that I am not the only one who has come across this, I would highly recommend going to a competing site.”
“Secret Benefits is a dating site for would-be sugar daddies. It is full of false profiles, each resembling the other in terms of the style of photography and profile text. In fact the profile texts appear to have been written by some kind of bored hack journalist with no imagination for variety. The profiles are so obviously false it's almost ridiculous. On top of this, Secret Benefits works hard to remove any critical reviews from Trustpilot. One can assume they pay Trustpilot to remove these, as I twice wrote a legitimate critique, proving my subscription to Secret Benefits, and both times Trustpilot deleted my reviews. I will say Secret Benefits have a good and responsive customer service, though I would recommend to these nice people that they seek a legitimate employer and leave the den of deception that is Secret Benefits - and by the way, if you read the positive reviews on Trustpilot, you will notice they are written in the same style. What a surprise.”
