my treatment took longer then projected. I was continuing to wear my aligner after the treatment duration until it broke. The company provided zero aftercare support and ignored my attempts to order a new aligner. My teeth started to separate again and the company is still ignoring me

STAY CLEAR!! they have disappeared without warning My teeth still aren't straight even after they persuaded me that they were I also paid for smile care plan so wheres my retainers and teeth whitening sets or wheres my refund. Everyone join the Facebook group : abandoned smilelife patients

I paid upfront for 3 years worth of retainers. Both retainers have now broken and I can't get anyone to answer my emails. Phone message just says that the Dublin office is closed. (20th Oct 2022). Don't use this company!

I was really happy at the start of my treatment but unfortunately the time had come when they should of been done in time for my wedding and still were nowhere near straight. I got over that and got more aligners from the company but still were not straight. I then got another 6 aligners after having 18 done already and they were still nowhere near straight but I was still striving towards getting them done and did not mind the extra time but no1 will contact be back after numerous emails and phone calls no1 will get back to me about possibly getting more aligners which is a disgrace given that they should of been done a year ago. So now I’m still wearing my last aligner for 2 months now because I don’t want them to revert back altogether and I’m unsure now whether to peruse getting my money back as I feel very let down that no1 will get in contact with me. Also my app will not work so can’t even contact through that it’s not working months.

Abysmal customer service! No support at all! Emailed the support address-no response. Spoken to customer "advisors" who said I would be contacted my a manager, no response. Avoid-use a well established and respected company such as Invisalign, not these frauds!

Company have disappeared. I bought and paid for a new set of replacement retainers and they never arrived. Tryed to contact them but they have ignored all my messages

I'm in Ireland and need night retainer as I've finished my 33 sets of retainers. I'm happy with smile life until now. I'm trying to get my local dentist to sort me out......

Are SmileLife gone in Dublin!!! No one is answering email/texts or calls. I am not finished my treatment yet, i definitely need at least one more retainer's and i also paid for my night time retainers for when the treatment is finished. This is just a horrible thing to do to their customers especially mid treatment!!! 🤬

Company seems to be closed. There is no reply or working costumer support. Phoneline is on vm. Unreachable since 1st September. They just take your money and run off!

THIS COMPANY HAVE TOTALLY DISSAPPEARED. i am not yet finished my treatment and they are uncontactable and I am without support for the issues with my teeth. There are many other similar reviews on trustp*lot, but obviously they link this one because they can manipulate it. Horrible company. Feels incredibly unsafe and precarious. Horrifically unacceptable

I gave 1 star as your scan assistant was very pleasant and explained your plans well. However I was later informed I wasn’t suitable as the unseen dentist informs me I need to attend my own dentist to check gum health. As a person who regularly goes to my dentist and hygienist I find this unusual. Wondering if my age is actually your problem ? Do you prefer younger people to promote your product ?

However, we always have our customer's best interests at heart, and we will never provide a treatment plan to a customer if the dental team feel that it would affect your dental health negatively. This was explained by our dental and support team in regards to your case specifically. For this reason, you were unfortunately deemed unsuitable for Clear Aligner treatment. When I first signed up customer service was brilliant, always checking in, however! Once I received my aligners that was it nothing from them until today. I received an email asking me to upload my first month's progress.... I have been wearing them since October so thats 3 months. I also emailed in with a complaint on how expensive they are compared to others. My partner used smile direct and wow I must say I wish I done my research before using smile life, my partner received free retainers x2 free eclectic toothbrush free lip barm and a teeth whitening kit (this I did receive). In my email I was told there was nothing they would do! I was also told i could not return my aligners as its policy because they are custom made. Safe to say I would NOT recommend this company! I had to put 1 star as does not allow to leave empty. My parcel was also left out side in my garden whilst I was away on holiday.

I got aligners back in March of this year. Started off well and when you get braces they are numbered 1-20 etc . Every two weeks you change too or bottom brace . Anyway long story but after number 8 they didn’t really work on the bottom . I was throwing out my aligners after use as I didn’t know you have to keep them my bad . When I had my check up which I arranged myself as I don’t upload pics etc or do much with computers . They told me bottom one didn’t work properly and as I didn’t keep my old braces have to pay €55 per brace for bottom from number 8-14 . I paid for this to make my teeth straight and on the bottom it certainly didn’t work and on top I’m not overly happy either . And the way they treat you when you dare question them is not very pleasant. I wouldn’t be rushing to smile life to fix your teeth . At the start I wasn’t told exactly what to do and in the end my teeth are not straight and they are not very helpful, just requesting more money off me

There is no way my teeth had changed despite your employee trying to convince that they had . So so disappointed with your service. I will say your staff, with the exception of one, we’re very courteous and always responded to emails. I would not recommend this company to anyone !

While in some cases it can be difficult to see minor changes throughout the course of your treatment, please be aware that they are in fact happening. Our staff are trained to notice and monitor these gradual changes that the every-day person may have difficulty seeing. Be careful! This company deletes negative reports and offers a 5 Eur discount to leave a google review. No ethics and no respect for the people who leave and read reviews. The purpose of reviews is to identify the weaknesses of a company and improve.

I feel compelled to answer the reply I received to my original review. To set the record straight, even though I followed the treatment plan to the letter, the treatment did not yield the expected results. I attended a follow up appointment and brought up my issues; the person I saw agreed that my treatment did not meet expectations and recommended further treatment. I was told could not receive the aligners that I hoped would complete my treatment without signing up for the smile protection plan. After being given no choice except to sign up, (I felt very pressured), I later tried to cancel and was not allowed. The person I contact kept delaying me until the windows to cancel was exceeded. I believe this violated my consumer rights. I received only one additional lower retainer so I still have issues as my treatment does not meet the expected results with in the allowed margin or error and when I enquired about trying to fix these persisting issues, this is when I was told I would have to pay €250 if I wanted further treatment. So that’s €250 + € 197=€447 extra to pay!!! It is such a hassle dealing with this company; everything is a battle! They are supposed to be the experts and notice that they have not done what was agreed in the treatment plan but instead I have to argue and go through this exhausting process. I’m not an dental professional I thought I bought a service from them which they would fulfil. They try to cut corners and milk you for more money. In my treatment plan only received 8 sets of aligners; I believe they deliberately don’t try to finish the treatment so you have to sign up for more aligners and they force the smile protection plan on you. I’m genuinely very upset by this. Please be warned! The price they advertise is not the final price you will have to spend much more. If you are thinking of clear aligners, keep this in mind! I wish I had paid more at the beginning with another company and got better service and less hassle

Hi Susan, As you have not emailed feedback@smilelife.com with your concerns and your case number so that we may look into your situation, then we can only speak on the information provided here which is without any validation. At SmileLife we are a small team of less than 100, this small number allows us to monitor the quality of each staff members work individually and to the highest standards. The top standard being customer care and satisfaction. While a Dental Consultant may have informed you that you treatment was not yet finished, they most certainly would not have withheld legitimately owed aligners from you until you signed up for our optional SmileCare subscription plan. When trying to cancel your SmileCare plan there is no “window” for cancellation in place. After signing up you may cancel your plan after 6 months. So when you say that the person you later contacted attempting to cancel your SmileCare plan had delayed you until this window closed, I do not know what you mean. In regards to straightening your teeth in line with your Treatment Plan, as you have not emailed us with your case number, I cannot look into this for you. For your other comments - we do not “try to cut corners and milk you for more money” we are a professional and fully licensed Dental company. Our prices are fantastic compared to traditional metal train-track braces that can cost from €3000 up to €6000 for the same amount of work. We have a very large customer base across the U.K. and Ireland, we do not have the time nor resources to deliberately not finish your treatment as you say. If we did this, we would have an unmanageable backlog of angry customers which is stress that we do not want. Finally, we do not “force the smile protection plan on you” it is entirely optional and you may cancel it after a period 6 months from the sing-up date, again, there is no cancellation window which we would have delayed you from as you claim. We are willing to look into the issues you claim that you are experiencing and to straighten your smile at no additional cost so long as you meet the criteria for such free additional treatment. However, you have not emailed feedback@smilelife.com as requested, we do not know who you are, and we cannot do anything to help you until you cooperate with us. Thank you, The SmileLife Team
