We took delivery of the Agatha 3 seater 2 months ago; it is without doubt the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever owned. I was advised "If I were you" to go for the down wrapped cushions (which I plump every day) but seriously, after just an hour in front of the tv the stuffing is as flat as a pancake and your backside is sitting on the frame (which incidentally creaks every time you sit down and get up!) I called customer services (forget it if you expect any empathy from the Welsh) and apparently if I'd called within 21 days they could've let me have some foam replacements for FREE "The down wrap isn't for everyone, some people find them hard" However, because I brought my sore bottom to their attention 28 days after purchase I can have a couple of foam cushions for £200. I'm sorry but that is shocking after-sales service. Whatever happened to goodwill and a little thing called PR? Lesson learnt, you get what you pay for. Dear Agatha is destined for Gumtree!

I am so glad that I bothered to read all the customer reviews. Was about to order two sofas but the consistent reviews about the atrocious after sales service, has stopped me in my tracks. Thank goodness as this would have been a very expensive mistake.

We ordered from sofa sofa in good faith. My 3 seater is horrendous. 1yr 5 month in and the centre has dipped and cushions are flat. I've spondylosis and also bad knees and i cannot sit on my own suite as it has dipped so badly. I had to rock to get up from it and now ive to rollon a side. I'm well under the 2 year guarantee, yet I've just been told by customer service that I'm not covered for repair and I've to pay for my own cushion replacement. I'll take sofa sofa through the courts before that happens. False advertising- false guarantee promise. I was very calm up until this point. I feel really let down by this company. It's bad enough that we had originally paid for a patch sample of our suite before ordering which looked one shade of grey and when it arrived our suite looked like a brindle dog in two shades of grey, (not what we expected) so much so that i thought they had mistaken the colour in the workshop which i let that go at the time because they said nothing could be done and we'd been sitting on a two seater and a bean bag waiting on our new furniture. The issue needs addressing. I'm not prepared to lose that amount of money. People work hard for what they have and nothing is built to last anymore. What a massive let down!! Update Manager has now offered to take the cushions in for inspection to see if WE have cared for them correctly (cushions are turned and flipped daily) and trust me they aren't light weight to do so!! No upholstery company sent out to inspect in our home, so sofa sofa now expect us to sit on nothing until the cushions are inspected and return with no guarantee that they will be replaced. I was asked if I get my hand inside to distribute the feathers. My answer was NO because that isn't my job, I'm not an upholsterer!!! I'm currently due to go in for a major operation and the manager offered to have them collected whilst I was in hospital (leaving my family with nothing to sit on) after I was concerned id have nothing to sit on myself once im discharged. I made it clear that this wasn't ideal. I gave her my operation dates and she said sorry we can't make your dates. They'll be collected when our delivery team are in the area. This company strokes me as awkward and will make you jump through hoops to get anything repaired. Then they have the cheek to ask why your so hostile over the phone. Is this some kind of sick joke!!

Last year I ordered a Rio sofa from sofa sofa and had it covered in my own choice of fabric. I was charged the list price for the sofa even though they were saving money by not using their fabric. I now need a 2 and 3 seater sofa for our new property and enquired once again about having them covered in my own fabric. The prices they quoted for the 3 seater was £380 above their list price and the 2 seater £270 above list price. When I dared to question this I was told they would have to cut a template for the cushions, as if they hadn’t done this hundreds of times previously and also the sofas would need to be upholstered. Since when did any sofa maker not upholster the sofa. The only thing it can be put down to is greed, pure and simple greed.

Bought Agatha 4 seater in Feb which developed a loud creak in Sept (so after 7 months). Notified Sofa Sofa who collected it 1 week later for inspection and supplied us with a small loan sofa but only with travel feet so very uncomfortably low. Contacted 1 week later to be told fault had been found in frame and it had been repaired. Sofa returned 1 week after that (so 2 weeks without sofa) when we immediately noticed it had a major wobble as only the front middle leg now touched the floor and it was no longer centrally positioned or aligned with the end feet. Contacted and told it would need to be collected again so we'd be without our sofa for a further 2 weeks. Also told no guarantee of a loan sofa being available this time so I said I wasn't happy about this and they offered to send us new legs and have Castelan, an independent upholstery service come to us to fix the wobble. Had to wait 2 weeks for the Castelan 'technician' who announced the wobble couldn't be fixed because it was a problem with the frame. He then stuck some cardboard spacers in the original legs and left us with a still wobbly sofa that now also had fabric damage near the legs where he'd worked on it to try to get it to sit level. Telephoned to speak to the after sales manager (Natalie Hern) who had been handling our case but wasn't allowed to speak to her. I was told I had to put it in writing. Her response was to offer to replace the sofa but with the guarantee provisions remaining under the original contract so we'd be outside the first 6 months when you have the most rights. Based on the issue we'd had with the sofa we therefore rejected this offer. We were then offered 2 further options: 1) Return the sofa and receive a partial refund with 10% deduction for use and no refund of the £75 delivery charge. Whilst I don't agree with the reduction for use given that's irrelevant to the fact that this issue has arisen because they damaged the sofa when repairing it I said I would agree to it if they included the £75 delivery, this was refused. 2) Exchange our sofa (without a reduction for use) for a different model with full guarantee provisions but we had to pay the difference in price. On this option we were also told that prices were rising the next working day so we had to agree to this by the end of that day or we'd have to pay more based on the new price. I asked that they at least hold this offer at the price offered while we sought advice but this was refused. The attitude from Mrs Hern has been disappointing throughout. This whole horrible situation has only arisen because Sofa Sofa damaged the sofa when repairing it. None of their resolution offers reflected this fact and she has been borderline rude in her communications. The 7 months use is completely irrelevant to the refund amount because this refund is being made because they damaged the sofa when repairing it! The fact they returned it to us damaged speaks volumes. They claim to have checked and tested it prior to return but quite frankly if they did then they need to review their quality control as it was like a see saw the wobble was so bad. My take on this is therefore if you get a sofa with no faults then Sofa Sofa appear to be ok but if there are any issues whatsoever then you're in trouble because their customer service is appalling. We are now going to be £170 out of pocket and need to find a new sofa from elsewhere through no fault of our own, I would not recommend taking the risk! I thought I'd done my research, I saw all the positive reviews but what I should have done was take more time looking at the negative reviews which having done so now all share the same complaints about poor quality and bad customer service. Buyer beware!

We purchased two sofas Wentworth sofas I September 2020. Within 2 months one was making a terrible creaking noise and the fabric was stretching and making out new sofas look very shabby. The creaking sofa was collected and a fault was identified in the construction and this was rectifed. One of the cushions was returned with a hole in it, and this had y be sent back again. We had no response to our complaint about the quality of fabric and after not having sofas to sit on for a couple of months we gave in trying to complain. However this weekend I noticed a hole where the springs had previously been repaired, the spring has cut the base f the sofa. I contacted the company directly and was told we were two weeks out of guarantee so they are unable to repair the spring. I will not be buying from this company again as we have had many problems with both the construction and fabric of our sofas☹️

This company do not even deserve 1 star! We used Sofa Sofa as my nan had such an incredible service 20 odd years ago and consequently had her sofa for 18 years. I read reviews within the year prior to purchasing (October 2021) that the customer service and quality of their product had taken a deep dive within the last 5 of so years but thought that couldn't be true due to the quality of my nans....I could not have been more wrong. We bought the Olivia in the colour Sunset a 2 seater and a 4 seater, after 2 months of having the sofas they had already started to discolour and bobble so cleaned as recommend by Sofa Sofa hoping it would help, it did not. Over the next 6 months they have gone from worse to worse. They did pick it up a month ago to have tests done to the fabric and came to the conclusion that heavy friction caused by a coarse abrasive throw (we have a faux fur one) and incompatible cleaning devise although everything used was as recommend. The state of this sofa in the short space of time considering its only 2 adults and not a family is appalling and the whole experience has been completely disheartening. I would avoid using Sofa Sofa and invest your money elsewhere as you may end up paying double.

Ordered Florence sofa and footstool in velvet. Wrong legs were sent on footstool which were replaced with a set of damaged ones. Meanwhile noticed faults in fabric on both footstool and sofa. It also smelt quite sulphurous which we were told was the protection treatment. Offered replacement which turned up with cut in fabric on footstool (returned immediately) and wrong legs again! Scuffs in fabric on sofa which we were told to brush out with a stiff brush. This did not work so eventually they agreed to replace again. Very patronising responses from customer services manager when we were nothing but polite. On inspection of third delivery, fabric sagging on arms and scuffs again, albeit behind cushions. Customer service manager stated that they obviously couldn't reach our high expectations so would offer refund and collection. She said they had very few complaints - read the reviews and make your own judgement. We were backed into a corner to keep the sub standard furniture as they wouldn't refund until they collected and we could not get delivery elsewhere for several months. Such a shame as the quality COULD be so good but is let down by shoddy workmanship and very poor after sales customer service.

We were given our sofa by a relative, there were a new set of covers that they had just bought. Lovely quality and they lasted a good ten years. The actual sofa build is excellent. Due to the previous cover quality, and these went into the washer and also the drier with no issues, I bought a new set of covers, we wanted the similar cream colour but opted for the Capri covers which are plain and more fashionable than the previous covers. We opted for stain protection which brought the covers to around 800 pounds. First issue we had was that the fabric was very creased, we were told to spray water onto the fabric......didn't work. The next issue was that the fabric became bobbly and also clothing seemed to bobble onto the fabric. We have been very busy during the pandemic, covers are less than 2 years old, the bobbling started immediately. Then I spilled wine onto the sofa, all great, we paid a fortune for the stain protection it would come out, nope it did't but considered it was red wine and that was may fault. Then my grandson accidentally dropped white toothpaste onto one of the cushions, it wouldn't come out, flipped the cushion. Then I spotted another mark, followed instructions, wouldn't come off. Need to add, this set of covers didn't fit as well as previous covers and the front trim hangs onto the floor, some dust had gathered, tried to hoover it, wouldn't come off, in fact, nothing comes off of these covers so today placed the sofa covers into the washing machine and washed at 30 degrees as per instructions, takes them out of the machine and onto the line, they can't be dried and I am looking at a huge creased mass of fabric, dirty marks that haven't removed even with washing. We have moved twice in the last 18 months and I have no idea where the stain guard guarantee is, was going to phone Sofa Sofa but after reading the reviews and the rudeness that other customers have been faced with I am not prepared to deal with rudeness and so, I will accept that I wasted an awful lot of money and will have to buy a new sofa. Maybe I should wait to see if the creases will iron out, no, because the stains are still evident as are the bobbles on the fabric. Our previous covers were also cream, they washed and dried beautifully, there was no stain protection and as mentioned they lasted a long long time and had wine, jam, you name it spilled on them, no bobbling, no creasing and they were very much fit for purpose, this fabric really isn't fit for purpose. No photos added, can't be bothered.

Despite my account being debited upon order, I am still waiting for delivery after 9 weeks, having been assured a wait of no longer than 8 weeks. Upon enquiry, staff are rude and unhelpful.

No problem with placing order or delivery, (staff were very friendly and helpful at that stage. Price appears very reasonable - which I assumed as because I was buying direct from manufacturer. I paid for stain protection on my fabric sofa. This has patently not worked. We used a proprietary upholstery cleaning product. The furniture now has unsightly stains and marks and fades. Whilst I accept our sofa is in our small holiday let and visitors may not be as careful as we would be, it has only been in place for 5 months and has received about 3.5 months of wear and tear. I contacted SofaSofa who were singularly defensive and unhelpful and disinterested in my problem laying the blame entirely onto me. When I asked if they could recommend an alternative fabric to buy replacement seat covers as I believe the blue linen look fabric is not fit for purpose I was told she couldn't answer that question and I would have to look and choose for myself. I loved the look of this sofa and planned to buy two more for our own home but due to its poor performance in moderate use and the fact they won't recommend a more 'forgiving' fabric from their range, I will not now do so. It is simply ludicrous to suggest anyone would want to call in a professional cleaner every time you have a spill on a sofa, yet this is their line of defence. It is not fit for purpose if you cannot use a proprietary cleaning product on something that will inevitably get marked from time to time. I believe they now do not offer the 5 year guarantee (which I also paid for). I suggested this was because the treatment clearly doesn't work but was told they don't get any complaints - which is patently not true. Clearly they have had far too many claims against them!!! I told them I recognised I had breached their advice and therefore was aware they would not offer any recompense but asked if my points as a dissatisfied customer could be passed on within the company so they could take account of the feedback, I was curtly told they had noted what I said, which made me feel my feedback would go nowhere. The lack of interest from the sales team and the after sales time who questioned me why I had been put through to them anyway was astonishing and leads me to say I would not recommend this company and certainly would never buy from them again. A very disappointed customer.

Not a good experience. We paid £1,169 for a 2 seater vintage leather sofa, after less than 9mths the vintage look in one arm has disappeared + 6 small black spots as would appear when leather is old and showing signs of wear + tear appeared on the same arm. Only I sit on the sofa regularly and sit that side. Complained to the company, they took it to check. Their findings were Itwas caused by normal wear and tear, cleaning products or lotions I use on my skin. The only cleaning products I use are those I purchased from them (it's only in one arm) I am72 years old, very rarely sit with bare arms if I do the only cream I would have on is moisturising lotion, I would'nt have thought that would damage leather. Over the years we've had a quite a few leathers that have had god knows what tipped on them and god knows what lotions spilled on them when my children lived at home, they have cleaned up no problem, all of them have gone on to be used n other homes. Obviously this furniture would be no good for a family using it. I do not agree with their findings, as far as I'm concerned it's caused by inferia leather and my arm resting and moving about (with clothes on). My sofa was actually returned today, I noticed that inside the arm is losing it's colour as well. What will be the answer to that? that I sit in the nude. What a joke. The only reason the arm and seat hav'nt faded is because I have a cushion behind my back and sit on one. Would never use or recommend this comany again, in future I will do as I've done before buy direct from reputable factory or DFS

Very disappointed with the aftercare that this company gives. So far I’ve received 2 patronising emails to my issue basically saying that they are not interested. Avoid buying from these people at all cost as they will take your money and then gob you off. I am now going through the furniture ombudsman to help me, not really what you want from a company.

The delivery was okay but the delivery lorry damaged a large tree in my next door neighbours garden, leaving utter destruction for us to clean up and put right. It took two weeks to receive a reply from the Transport Manager who then denied it. Fortunately for us we have all the relevant information, photos and statements and are now taking court proceedings against Sofa Sofa

Appalling customer service. Failed to deliver my sofa at such an important time. My so is marrying this Saturday at our farm and I now have no furniture. Sofa Sofa didn’t give a damn. Lloyd Ridgwell you should feel ashamed!

We ordered a 2-seater sofa from SofaSofa, it arrived on the 9th May 2018. We ordered some black covers, within 6 WEEKS!! the covers had discoloured. After an investigation we were told that reluctantly they would replace them. Now a year and a couple if months later the replacement covers have discoloured. It is too difficult to bother with the awkward customer service at SofaSofa to complain again. But just to say our £600 sofa just over a year old looks ahabby, cheap and old. I will not Buy from SofaSofa again.

We are having to return our sofa we bought from sofa sofa. Sofa we bought came with a broken leg and a missing leg. Guys that delivered did not attempt to fix it. They just made a note and advised us call office the next day. We were happy to keep the sofa and therefore we accepted delivery. The next day I called office. I was given two options: 1 to exchange sofa but it would take 21 days or have it fixed which would take less time. I accepted to have it fixed, however when called back to arrange fix I was told that the earliest would be after 15 days. Anyway, I still accepted to it, but only if they send us at least the missing leg in the meantime so that sofa is safer. I was advised that I we will be provided with the missing leg. However, when I called again to check why missing leg is not delivered yet, I was told that I would be provided with a leg before fixing day. After this I realised that things did not add up here so I decided to request return. I am really disappointed because I really wanted to resolve the issue with minimum disruption on both sides. I even offered to get someone else to fix the broken leg, so that we don’t have to wait and they do not have to pay for a fixer to come 100s of miles to fix the sofa. This is my experience with sofasofa!

Since I bought my sofa I've had to contact customer service twice, both times it was because the fabric allowance was stingy and the seam split and both times I had to send the covers back for colour matching before the replacement cover and the second time the repaired cover. It looks super when you have visitors and you don't have a full set of covers...twice! Yesterday I washed the seat covers and left them to dry overnight, as I put the first cover back on the seat cushion I noticed the synthetic stuffing was coming out although the seam didn't seem split but as I turned the cushion over there was split in the fabric with fibres coming out. Unbelievable! This weekend I will be writing to SofaSofa with my my third complaint! The second time I had to complain about the seam splitting the woman who spoke to on the phone told me I had no need to worry the staff who make the covers are experts. I wish I'd been quicker off the mark because I got the Impression that no experts had been involved with my order. I have bought three sofas in the past from Divani and SofaSofa, my daughter has bought five and they've all been excellent it now seems the workmanship is rushed and very poor and quality control non-existant. But I think after I raise my third complaint tomorrow my next move will be to contact Trading Standards because the situation is farcical, I've paid the full price for a substandard product.
