“So this was my first read of Standart (issue 23) and I was pretty excited to be reading all about coffee. There were sections that were all about coffee and these were written brilliantly with great knowledge and respect for the industry. Then unfortunately there were sections that were not so great, and to be honest, had nothing to do with coffee (about 40% overall). Those sections I felt definitely let the experience down, nevertheless I still enjoyed the magazine as a whole. For future issues I would love for there to be less of the sections that have very tenuous links with coffee. Also some of the writing specifically in these sections came across as quite pretentious in a bid to stretch the content further than it needed to be. In addition, the coffee sample was fantastic, and I absolutely love the artwork within the magazine. It would be amazing for Standart readers to have digital access to some of this artwork, i.e. using it as screensaver or backgrounds.”
“Enjoyable magazine that looks at the world of coffee a bit differently than other publications. Less focused, which is both its curse and its blessing. The advertisement structure is a bit odd, but c'est la vie!”
“Love the look and feel of this magazine. Hope it can continue to be global and bring to light global conversations and movements for coffee and the coffee farmers”
“A great magazine I really enjoy reading. I am a little bit sad we are not getting Czechoslovak version anymore and a little confused with the new design language from issue 19 and on (that's why I would give a 4.5*/5) but still a great magazine (almost a book) that you want to keep even after reading it all! Almost forgot to mention a coffee that comes with every issue and it's a really great addition to the magazine!”
“Coffee is already a month old by the time it gets here to the US sadly. My first issue came completely destroyed from water damage as well, but the second issue received was in good condition.”
“No hay muchas publicaciones en papel dedicadas al café y las actividades humanas a su alrededor. Standart ocupa con autoridad ese espacio con una propuesta de temas propia y original. Añade un estilo gráfico influido por el arte y la entrega de muestras de café para agregar aroma y sabor al aspecto visual.”
