“The content is valuable. It feels like a piece of art. Also, I think it could be more useful too. Right now, it’s very editorial. I’d love to see more practical stuff. Articles that help me do something. Maybe recipes, methods, or tips.”
Hello, Oscar,
Thanks for the feedback — very well noted. We're exploring ways to bring in more practical content alongside the editorial. Recipes, methods, and actionable tips are definitely on our radar. By the way, you can find some amazing technical tips and tricks in our Online Community too!
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and your support.

“The content is great, there are two things i would like to see for a full 5-star experience:
One, pictures that support the texts. Often i see pictures that don’t add to the text or i see references to cafe’s/locations in the text and no pictures of said location where it would fit.
And the second, more information on pictures like when there is a photo of a cafe/person/location information on who/what/where we are.”
“I want to see changes to the magazine cover. The design style, such as photos used and covers of of Standart magagines seems to have veered into a very different style. Not very inviting to me. I also feel the content has been a bit flat. Unlike what I got over 2 years ago. I know I probably won't make you change but I can make a change to my subscription easily.”
“totally love this magazine! there are a lot of interesting articles but because I don't work in coffee field some info are a little bit to specialized for me.”
“Love the coffee samples, and really like the magazine! Sometimes the articles can feel like a little too needlessly convoluted to read. Still interesting but i feel the language can be overly flowery when describing something very simple. My reading and comprehension skills are not the best, so i get that authors writing styles can vary. Overall, still great material and i have enjoyed what i have read :)”
“This is my favorite cover of the redesigned Standart so far! simply because the visual vibe is exactly how this summer feels to me. As a quarterly delivery, the cover really matters to me whether it is seasonal or not.
I clearly had a first impression too, that the editorial photography in this issue is exceptionally good. Water Please! the photo feature remains my favorite piece after browsing from cover to the end a few times. I like every aspect of it, set design, photography, color edit, layout...and especially I’m so fond of glass works as daily vessels for drinks and delighful interior objects.
Story wise, I enjoyed reading the interview with Fabiana Carvalho on sensory experiences and memories, a topic that I’m personally interested. I do read out line by line when I read books and magazines. With this one, I find myself gradually and unconsciously turn to English accent. Part of me started to imagine myself in a real conversation with Fabiana in London, where I try to simulate English accent based on my voice memories of those conversations with friends from England hah
Does memories that involve sound and voice have the tendency to stay with us longer? I’m curious.”
“Thoughful and informative articles about coffee and coffee culture that often take you to places and issues that you didn't hadn't realised that you'd wanted to explore.”
“Is like a gift when arrive to my home, love the articles because are written in a cool way, and can learn a little about everything in the coffee world , stickers are a real bonus love them.”
“The magazine is beautifully put together. Couple of editorial mistakes, but nothing too bad. (The 1800’s are known as the 19th century 😉)
The Intellegensia sample was a bit under developed. Super papery and flat. Not great, unfortunately.
Keep it up 🤙🏼”
“Great as usual except for a personal nitpick regarding the inclusion of more content regarding alcohol and gambling, which was a bit annoying for me considering cultural differences.”
“I like the magazine. It’s fantastic! However, each sample of coffee I received was terrible. I could tell the beans were old and in both cases (my sample size is small, two batches but still, two were both bad) bitter, hard to grind… just yuck. Not good at all.”
