“I went in for contact lens exam and contact lens went thur all the process to find out the doctor who wasnt even there say i would have to go to another eye exam with another doctor i was like are you freaking kidding me no trial pair no prescription but had to pay $81

“First of all when i went in for my appointment i asked how much was my eye exam with insurance and the girl who was helping me said oh its 59.99 and i said why ? Oh thats the price for the exam and i then stated so the price went up or what n she responded with yes and i said well whats the exam include and then she stated this was a test to examine eye illnesses and i said no my co payment is always 10.00 for the test and thats when she said oh this is an option ! They tried to scam me into getting a costly eye exam and not inform me of what my insurance covers or what is avalable to me if i choose to do another test. Then i brought in my own frames and i was told if i use those i wont be able to use my insurance at all and all be out of pocked. she did not explain that the frames arent covered under the allowance for frames. I will not be going back again mainly because of the lack of care and trying to scam me for a pricey exam ! No thanks !”
“First of all the FACT that they make you aware that the 2 pairs of glasses for $79 WITH EYE EXAM ! is false advertisement !! I ended up paying $185 !! And FEEL RIPPED off because although I paid $185 I was limited to certain frames as if I was givin the promo !!!!! Im never going back and will advise my family and friends NOT TO GO AS WELL”
“I should have done more research before I went there. I fell for the 2 glasses for 119$ with a free exam. I walked out spending 850$ problem with the system is that you have committed to 179$ exam if you don’t buy. So once you get the free exam you are committed to purchased the glasses of you are stuck with the exam cost. Pretty slick system but it’s not a deal. Check other companies before buying glasses at this place.”
“I should have left when the eye doctor wasn't in person. Then the glasses I picked came to over 800.00. When they came they are the cheapest made frames I ever had! Then the lens is even worse!!!! They have a white foggy film on the lens. When I called the Waterloo Iowa office to tell them, the lady said come in and we will clean them for you. Really, I know how to clean my glasses!!!! I would never come here again. I wasted 800.00!! I had to go someplace else to get a pair of glasses. Don't go here!!”
“I would give this place a zero but they would only let me leave a review with one star. This place is misleading, they gave me glasses after three times of bring them back and waiting months to get them only to find out they are wrong again.
I paid this company for progressive lenses, what I got is a pair of glass that I can't use not one pair but two.
I wasn't going to leave a review, I thought after a few months as I was told by your associate that I would get use to them, I trusted your company just to be let down spent alot of money on the glass for what for you to ruin my eyes and not beable now to have the money to get new glasses.
What makes it worse is you eye associate telling me it's going to be more money when I brought them back for the third time, I would need to pay more for peripheral lenses this is totally unexceptionable.

She took my credit card numbers and did the bate and switch by ordering glasses I didn't request. Told me there were no managers to talk to, and I could take it because she already ordered them. “The Stanton Optical in Killeen, Tx needs some serious overhauling on the way they do things. First of all; they have no check-in method. You walk into that store during a crowd and the staff has no idea who is next. And next; when your glasses order says "Ready for Pickup", you go to the store and the staff is looking for your glasses in every corner of the store and can't find them. They have no orders stocking method. Boxes in a lab room strolled all over the place in no particular order. Then the staff member got tired of looking for my glasses and she started helping another customer without any explanation whatsoever to me and just left me sitting there wondering what is going on in this place. Stanton Optical has seen the last of me!!”
“The eye exam is not accurate. And recommend brand on the prescription. But the lens give blurry and headaches. I am purchasing another brand but the supplier need doctor to allows me to use that brand which I have been using for over 20 years!!!!”

“If I could give them a 0 I would. The absolute worst! My son’s appointment was at 1. At 1:45pm he was told to come back at 2:15 due to the “technicians” not answering their calls. Excuse me? How does a technician not answer a phone call when people are waiting! I wouldn’t recommend this Optical to a dog!

“This is a virtual remote eye test. The doctor controls the machine via remote while talking you through the lenses as you determine what you can/ can’t see. At the end instead of letting you see the actual prescription in the machine that is written for would at an in person dr of optometry visit, you have no idea if what you end up with will be perfect for you! They DO NOT tell you this before the visit so those of us who have never had a virtual eye exam have no idea until the end and as a result I paid the $20 insurance covered instead of the $69 out of pocket and left. I’m not ordering expensive glasses not knowing how the prescription that was written looks like before buy my lenses and frames! Full disclosure of entire process isn’t explained before the procedure. Oh and the testing equipment wasn’t even. Leaned and sterilized BEFORE I went in the examining room. I had to watch the technician clean off nasty brown makeup from all the machines, I should have walked out right then. Go to an eye doctor where professionals are on site and you can see the prescription that is written before having to order your glasses! 1,000 % do not recommend Stanton Optocal!”
