“This bank is the worst bank in the UK. They claim to be a business bank. They aren't ! Starling turned a routine business to business wire transfer and created a nightmare . They refused to credit the customer or return the funds to sender even under recall notice. Their lack of consideration and efforts to resolve any questions or issues only accentuated their distain for customers , violation of uk bank regulations( failure to give written notice ) and underscored their rank amateurism and unprofessionalism in dealing with international business . Their inaction lead to tarnished reputations for non performance and hundreds of thousands of dollars in penalties and legal costs because the company's couldn't complete their contractural obligation . Do not use this bank. Run Away.”

“Well it started so good for 3 years but now I’m astonished at how ridiculous and unfair they are.
Long story short, I don’t have many payments in or out of my business account at all, but they restricted my account as they wanted details of pretty much all transactions.
These are small to companies like 1&1 for server fees.
It was not apparent that they had restrictions on my account until payments started to be declined
This caused issues with my server provider.
Funny thing was they had their own loan repayment due, which they paid.
That was the final straw
One rule for them
Unprofessional and quite frankly a disgrace.
They should be pulled up for doing things like that.

“Absolutely terribly bank to use especially for crypto. It’s been over 2 weeks they have put a hold on my money. It’s £1500 so not much. I have provided all screenshots to show where money came from (Binance) however they give no update and won’t release the money. All they keep saying is they are reviewing. Not sure what they are reviewing. Stay clear of this bank
Just to add I did not buy crypto by using debit card. I transferred money from my binance to Starling. It’s been over 2 weeks and Starling have not given any clarity what is going on. Not sure how Starling can say they are protecting their customers by with holding customers money. Money has been held since the 30th of November. So to clarify as per Starling response I did not transfer money using bank transfer and not by debit card either. I transferred into Starling acc.
To confirm I was not buying crypto but transferring money to my account

First of they closed my account for no reasons. I was expecting refund from some merchants on starling bank since it was closed they didn’t give me an access.
After the money came in to my account they notify me until I called them and asked them if I got refund on my account or not.
After knowing I had received money in the account I requested money to my own account which they are lingering for 2 weeks
. When ever I approach them they always say they are investigating and reviewing
Meanwhile they haven’t even asked me for any supporting documents if they are doing investigating. Seems like they are making excuses to steal my money.
They shouldn’t be allowed to operate in the UK for violating the financial regulations set by FCA. They are doing the day light robbery.Because of them I have gone through mental stress and anxiety.
Don’t do any transactions through this bank.

“They asked me to send them all my personal documents, to video myself, short of dancing like a chicken, all to verify my new personal account and then they had the nerve to reject the documentation because each company worded my flat slightly differently and according to their address database and Starling also only offered one address option that was also slightly different, so there was bound to be a discrepancy which I explained via email. I cannot believe I wasted half my day like an idiot sending them document after rejected document. It's these types of online app services that are so dangerous and the people that work there are mindless robots, the managers are all the same and thee companies sleepwalk us into a data tyranny and them into bankruptcy because they're dumb and inflexible. They put all our data at risk whilst promoting themselves as secure and they cannot think like a human being and I'm seeing whole organisations being brought down because of data, app and IT worship stupidity like this.”
“Starling restricted my business account with no notice and asked me factually incorrect questions which they would see if they read their own app or statements. Four days of trying to contact someone to get the restrictions lifted and no further forward.
After 5 days they seized my funds without notice and did not provide evidence of where my seized funds are. They are in breach FCA's principles of acting with integrity and delivering deliver good outcomes for retail customers.
On day 14 without I got an email saying my account has been closed and they will send me a cheque within 30 days. They remove access to the app and no means of proving I have made a complaint. Clearly if you leave bad reviews or complain they close your account”

They not allowing to withdraw more than £300 per day, I called the bank and spoke to their manager "Charlie" too that I need an urgent withdraw to pay cash, she told me first nobody at this moment will be able to release to withdraw more than £300 because it is night, so I asked how about if I call tomorrow morning, she said even tomorrow if I call, they bank not allowing. only can do online transfer,
I told her that I need an emergency cash. she said we can not increase the withdraw limit.
Please they do not have any Branch anywhere to go and withdraw from their branch,
Anybody want to open an account with Starling, think well first because you gonna have the same problem in future as I and other costumers that they had the same issue.
