STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY They financed me a car with a stolen engine inside and when I raise the issues and complaint, they fob me off and try blame this on me like I have the capability to be swapping engines out 😂 They have refused to provide my data in the terms of a subject access request. Refused me call recordings because they know I have raised my issues with them on calls and they don’t want to accept this as fact. They then send people who are meant to be call collectors to collect the car to my customers houses to try and intimidate me. All the guys roll up in tracksuits and trying to intimidate me to hand the car back over. I of course didn’t do this because I want my money back for the stolen car they sold me and they are trying to fob me off I dealt with a little feeble man in complaints called Colin who does not have a backbone and can only just string a sentence together he is that nervous when he talks in the phone but this guy is a complete waste of space and sucks someone in his management team to feel like the car is his own it something. The company is a complete shambles and don’t adher to their regulation! They will sting you if they can as they do not accept any responsibility for them selling me a stolen car! They even knew the car was stolen and when I finally gave them the car back after my solicitor told me to, they then tried to sell the car on to someone else via auction knowing the car still has a stolen engine in? They only did something finally because I contacted the buyer and made him aware that the engine was stolen in the car and he kicked off! If I didn’t contact him they would have allowed another member of the public to get stung my a stolen car just so startline can make money It’s actually laughable that they think that’s acceptable

DO NOT TRUST STARTLINE MOTORS ALL THEY WANT IS TO LOCK YOU INTO FINANCE DEALS AND USE UNTRUSTED CAR DEALERS TO SELL YOU UNTRUSTWORTHY CARS!! Awful company. Laura McGrandles has been dealing with my complaint and after originally requested a complaint to be logged in July they failed to log it until September. I requested a DSAR request of the call recordings as they’ve failed to provide me with the correct information on multiple occasions but now say they’ll only provide representative notes and not notes of the call recordings. I first requested the DSAR on the 15th of July specifically asking for a copy of the call recordings due to the lies they are told me, we are now on the 1st of October and I still haven’t received it. I had a call with John H today who proceeded do be rude and tell me that no complaint was open on my account even though I requested the complaint to be reopened on Saturday. I also raised a separate complaint on Saturday regarding the failure to provide the DSAR request which seems hasn’t even been logged AGAIN!!. John terminated the call by telling me to go to the ombudsman and tell them to request the DSAR! For those reading I’m sure will agree this is far from progressional. DO NOT TRUST STARTLINE MOTORS ALL THEY WANT IS TO LOCK YOU INTO FINANCE DEALS AND USE UNTRUSTED CAR DEALERS TO SELL YOU UNTRUSTWORTHY CARS!

AVOID @%$ AVOID %$%$AVOID I went to this organisation with my head high without good research aiming to surprise my wife for the car of her dream, it was all perfect at the beginning, but when I was about to signed contract/warranty they told me its less than 3 months, also they are based in Hull if i remembered it correctly 134 miles away from Northampton, on any faulty i have to take it back to them, one big red flag, the car worth £15000 i manage to pay to £11000 and COVID hit I lost my job, they didn't want to know typical shark company, Poor customer services, no Sympathy, I did request to reduce the amount i pay per month, they didn't care, They ended up take me to court I represent myself they come with experience lawyer in the field to defend Shark Loan company, they won the case I lost £11000, and also the car was worth £6000 when they took of me, and they ended up selling it for £3000 that means i still need to pay more money to them. so if you value your money, time, and good mentality avoid this shark loan company with poor customer services

They make it really hard to hard to settle the finance. When you send them the money they say they don't know what its for so they don't apply it to your account making you pay them more interest and will only update your account on your payment day regardless of when you make the payment. Again making you pay more interest on your outstanding balance. They keep changing what you need to do......AVOID

I would give no stars. I quitted my job and gone unemployed for serious reasons. I was calling them up to ask for a reduced payment of 100 pounds for a year, but they just questioning me, and not respecting my privacy in my issues to save it secret. Why the advertising on their site that they can give payment holiday or payment reduce or deferral? I told them that i need to sort out things and im thos year i shouls pay 100 pounds, after iam aure i go back to work, clear terms amd promises. This is not a friendly or understanding company, and i need the car, and i am alone.

What an absolute joke this company is, zero customer care, zero customer empathy.....they are a pure profit machine. Go through the motions of advertising the help they offer customers.....they don't, they don't offer any help whatsoever! I would avoid this company like the plague.

Bought a car last year which turned out to have cooling problems, garage accepted the car back without much hassle (they did try resolve the issues but couldn't , turned out to be cylinder head the was at fault), started the unwind process in December 2021, had contact regular with Starline then none for months, no phone calls, no response to my emails, copied in their CEO but still heard nothing, not even a single email from their CEO. 8 months later I get a phone call to say they would be receiving the funds back from the garage and that I'd get an outcome shortly. 2 weeks passed then another email to say it was all sorted and the account was cleared. All in this time I probably sent around 50 emails to them without a single response, the garage were the ones giving me the information so couldn't fault them. Personally I'd stay as far away from Starline as possible, their customer service is useless, their complaints team even more useless, they care only about the money.

Had £1,700 remaining of my balance left for a 2013 fiat 500 it had no parking sensors or features and I got it in 2017 paid in total around 9,000, the gearbox failed and was costing £1,300 to fix as I couldn’t afford the car anymore I sold it for £500 and that money went straight to startline. Recently I been diagnosed with cancer so I had lost my job, I told startline this to set up an agreement. They didn’t care and advised I needed to make payment in full or they would give me a credit default. Completely unfair I wouldn’t advise anyone to get a car on finance.

Hi, My name is Georgi angelov and I've got a question for you i have been scammed by a car dealership and I think I need some advice if you. So, here is my situation - so I bought my insignia in October 2020 on the 21st I signed a contract for 60 months for £360.88 a month. 1 month ago I decided to change the car and from October 2020 to March 2022 I have existing paid insignia payments of £6,200 after exchanging insignia for Jaguar I found a problem in the engine I booked an hour for a full engine inspection, and the problem was confirmed by the mechanic and I was provided with documents accordingly. after I made a complaint the car was taken to a service center after 8 days of waiting, my car was returned and confirmed that the problem was fixed but alas, the next day it broke I left the car at work but to it being broke and I was without a car for 4 days because they didn't give me another car to use after I explained that the jaguar was broken again I have attached my new 5 year contract for my old car, which is completely illegal for them to sell me my old car and they just had to return it to me and I am losing these payments under my old contract from October 2020 it is absolutely illegal to resell my old car because I have made a complaint about this Jaguar before the 30 day period expires. I have also attached the contract for the jaguar and the insignia for the exchange so until last month i have insignia payments for a year and five months worth £ 6200 but as i explained to you now i have a new contract for another 5 years and if i have to make payments for 1 year and 5 months after I have a new contract I lose these payments under my old contract £6200 as if I threw them in the trash and now that I'm making payments again under my new contract for the first year and five months I'm losing that money again because it's a new contract and that will exceed £ 10,000. So in essence I now physically have 1 car, My insignia. But on my credit file shows 2 insignia and 1 jaguar. I cannot have 2 credit agreements for the same car? Also, I no longer have the jaguar and since I brought it back within my 30 day return policy this needs to be removed. I want to know what is happening with my existing payment for my insignia from my original contract from October 2020 to March 2022 because these payments are now showing as £0 on the new insignia contract. Can you please help me with this. Thanks, Georgi angelov.
