We have had an extreamly negative experience with super escapes. this is mostly due to the rudeness of staff and misrepresentation of the holiday and hotel.
When we booked we were initially given a hotel which we researched and it was going to be under construction. they offered a refund for the issue. I was waiting about 2 weeks for this refund when they suddenly contacted us withdrawing the offer to refund the accomidation costs (so we could make our own provisions). They insisted they would book another hotel. This hotel was very nice and matched the amount we had paid. Again last minuet they stated they never had a contract with this hotel and tried to put us in a hotel miles and miles away from where we were origionally supposed to be staying.
We had back and forth communication (with very rude and very unhelpful staff) for about two weeks. we were essentially going to be homeless whilst away. Their supplier suggested we were to find hotels and forward them. Despite the hours of research, they did not take on any of the suggestions and came back with a further three hotels. The hotels they suggested were way cheaper and crappy in quality than what we had paid and already been promised.
they offered no remedy at all. We finally sorted out a hotel two days before going on holiday. Again, this wasa very delayed, drawn out process. in every interaction we had with staff they were very rude, uncooperative and careless.
PLLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH SUPER ESCAPES. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.”
“Absolutely Disgusted – Worst Travel Experience Ever
Avoid Super Escapes at all costs. We booked a deal through Travelzoo which looked great on paper, but once on the phone they started adding extras until it became more expensive than advertised. Against my better judgement I reluctantly agreed.
What followed was two days of complete chaos. I was bounced around from one booking team member to another, then finally to a supervisor — only to be told they hadn’t even bothered to secure the deal in the first place. To make matters worse, they never once contacted me with updates. I had to chase them more than 14 times by phone.
This was by far the worst customer experience I’ve ever had with a travel agent: misleading pricing, no communication, and sheer incompetence. I will never book with them again and strongly advise others to steer clear.”
