However, Superprof doesn’t publish them, doesn’t reply to your emails, and doesn’t refund your money. Is this their idea of “premium”? Another rip-off.”

“They’re horrible company. Their site is really glitchy. I had all kinds of problems and each time I had a problem I would send an email so I had three emails sent. They didn’t answer any of them so I deleted my account that got their attention and they finally emailed me back. They reactivated my account without asking me so I deleted it again and also I did see a tutor from them and because super Pro did such a horrible job. They ripped off the Tutor and didn’t pay him. he did his job. He needs to be paid.”

We live in central London where there were an abundance of teachers, apparently. None were available, at all and only one bothered to send a considered response. When I eventually found one, he was lovely at the trial but then disappeared off the face of the planet. I subsequently found out that your subscription does not link to actually using a tutor, you end up locked in until you realise and shout at them to cancel it. I’ve now paid 400 quid in total for nothing. I instead have found an amazing teacher, through an awesome local ex-professor at the RCM here in London who has confirmed that she is inundated with applicants who have suffered the same fate with superprof… a big scam really!”
“Signed up for the premium tutor service. It states your ad will benefit from more exposure etc and dedicated email responses within 24 hours. I signed up in August and not had a single response to my ad. I'm a highly qualified with a long history of success with other tutoring websites. The day I bought the premium I noticed all the negative reviews for this company and decided to email superprof to claim a refund citing 14 day statutory rights to refund which most reputable businesses respect. Of course, they didn't offer a refund and were quite patronising in their response... telling my I can't expect a deluge of enquiries the day after signing up. Well it's been 4 months now and not only no deluge but not a single response. In addition, I have found a lack of responsiveness to emails, so they don't really adhere to their claim of dedicated email support. Very poor experience with this company. Won't be renewing or having anything to do with them again.”

The tutor I approached contacted me to say they weren't available and I imagined that was that. Only a few days later, €39 was taken from my card on a rolling contract! For what? “Dishonest company, so many poor reviews of being ripped off, wish I had searched first. The website clearly states you will only be charged the $59 student pass fee if a tutor accepts your request, i checked my bank and got charged immediately and when i eventually got a reply from a tutor about 6 hours later they were unable to help anyway, asked for a refund but no luck. Avoid!!”

“I paid 39 pounds for student pass that should last for one month to contact unlimited tutors. But few days after I made the payment, they deleted my account saying I was buying notes from the tutor contacted. Firstly, that tutor posted on her ad selling notes to students. This ad has been active until today. They didn't delete her ad. Secondly, after I read her ad, I only made enquires of purchasing notes but never made any payment to buy because the price is too high. It is incorrect to say I bought notes from any tutor. Thirdly, this company even made up stories saying I was asking the tutor to write things for me - this is false statement. From the chat histories, I never made any enquiries to ask anyone to write anything. Superprof is making up stories so that they can stop my subscription and make me pay for a new student pass subscription. Unethical and Disgusting business practice. Students please do not use this web!”
