“I've been buying instruments for years and I went to Sweetwater for the first time and it was not a great experience. First their salesman wasn't the best with extended courtesy after the sale. I had to exchange my Fender standard Stratocaster twice until I finally got a Stratocaster with minimal issues I had to settle because I didn't want to go through exchanging it anymore. They're 55 check on the instruments is way overrated. It's better to have the least amount of hands on your guitar from Factory as possible because they're 55 Point check is useless. But in the end they did take back the first two guitars, but I was never able to finally get exactly what I wanted, I just didn't feel like going through another Exchange. The real issue was quality control with Indonesia. Sweetwater's technical support is better than their sales force by far. No they did come through somewhat in the end. I guess you can say I came close enough to getting what I wanted. Sweetwater did give me a discount for the issues on the instrument.”
“They’re good for having and selling what you need, not so good (so far) at customer service after you’ve bought it. Seems like the product makers wouldn’t be so happy about that. Me neither. Gonna look locally from now on.”
“I switched the Sweetwater because of the pricing and the fast shipping usually within three days but lately shipping has taken far longer than that.. “Good quality products, ordered a ukulele from there and the quality was very good. Lasted me a long time.
But, I ordered a guitar from there 3 weeks ago. I placed the order then and was told it would take about 2 weeks to get here.
I call Sweetwater to find out why it wasn’t here yet.
Guy on the phone tells me that the order was never looked at and hasn’t even been shipped.

“Not exactly sending a good review like I would in the past. I'm not going to put up with my sales engineer pulling the attitude with me because I'm sending the third item in a row back! Everything was warped, or just sucked, and last night my 3 day old new Peavey amp blew up. I've had to send several guitars back because of warpage. I'm getting a little suspicious why they're equipment is always dropped in price 100.00 bucks off of the already low price, I think my returns are starting to explain it. Beware when buying from them now days. And some of the attitudes need some adjustments, or I'll shop somewhere else.”

Find out it’s on order…try to contact them for status…GOOD LUCK getting them to speak with you….So here I am 30 days and several calls later still trying to find out where the gear I ordered is at…I had bought from previously and was provided good service…Must be new generation in now because it went from good to none service”
