“Swiss French school manages to be effective professionally and in a friendly way. The teachers are great, always on form, taking me as a native English speaker from an A1 level to the completion of B1 French in 6 months. I definitely recommend the school (online version) and especially to those who want to learn French properly and deeply. The positive aspects of having a range of good teachers is that they all have their own understanding of French to build on your foundation and you won’t be learning French with ‘bad habits’. This suits a steady approach to French and not a super high intensive one. Thank you Swiss French School for getting me well started with French!”
“I took French classes at this school for 6 months.
At first, I couldn't even introduce myself properly in French, but gradually I came to understand French.
If you finish your homework and have a class with your teacher at least twice a week, I think you can reach your goal in a short time.
However, personally, I felt that the one-hour class with the teacher was very short compared to the amount of homework, so if you think it is insufficient, I recommend taking the course again.
For your information, the teachers were all friendly, but they all have different personalities and teaching styles, so it's important to know which one is right for you.
And what I liked the most about this school was the online workshops and social clubs.
I was able to take classes with other students through online workshops from the comfort of my home, and there were actually various workshops.
Also, it was an advantage to be able to choose a class schedule that is relatively convenient for me.
If you are still hesitating about this school, I recommend taking a free sample class before making a decision.

“Good system overall, more expensive then many other alternatives and to me the benefit was its flexibility to find a solution to all life / work styles. I must say I find it extremely difficult to book classes on an ongoing basis... as I'm working full time and travelling most of the time, so if you miss Thursday mornings its very likely you'll miss a few weeks... which is not ideal. So SFS promise of offering flexibility for all life/ working styles is not fully delivered. This is my second enrollment and I'm seriously thinking not to continue after this one finishes- thanks and kind regards”
“Very uncomfortable system with booking classes. It will be perfect if student can be able to have the app where they can schedule their classes by themselves. And if it needed cancel without phone calls, but just using their special app.”

“I am very happy with the teaching I have received from the Swiss French School and I feel that my level of French, particularly the grammatical structure, has improved significantly since I started my lessons. I was starting with a strong base so I cannot say what they are like for a complete beginner.
The best thing that I have found with the school is the quality of the teaching itself. The small class size (never more than 3, regularly just me) means you get plenty of time to discuss around the topics rather than just follow a rote timetable and the teachers are very friendly and approachable.
The workshops are also very helpful, albeit they are usually a lot busier, and the social events get rave reviews (although I have been unable to attend one myself.) If you book in advance, the flexibility around the lessons is also very helpful.
So, what stops it from getting five stars? Firstly, it is relatively expensive, so therefore would be expected to offer more than a cheaper alternative. The main other drawbacks for me are the quality of the on-line material is not quite there. I rarely felt like I was learning when completing a lot of these exercises and the system had some simple flaws. Finally, because the school is very busy, if you need to rearrange a class or re-take a level, then it can be very difficult to find a space in the immediate week or two, particularly if, like me, you were studying after work.
However, overall I was very happy and have continued with SFS to take me to my DELF exam in June, so I would definitely recommend them to anyone.”

“I’m very happy with the school although the sign-up system/process is a bit difficult to navigate in terms of getting signed into all the courses you want (regardless of whether you sign up early or not). I feel like it would be easier to have students to this themselves that way if they can’t make it they can simply unregistered and other students would have to opportunity to signing up. Also, I think it would be nice to get some “homework” for some selected language level courses instead of only for the echange classes.”

Die Lernplatform im Internet ist gut. Allerdings fand ich die Themen und die damit zusammenhängenden Vokabeln nicht gut. Das war teilweise sehr praxisfern. Mich interessiert in erster Linie nicht was bspw. Hummer auf französisch heißt. Hier wären Themen wie "bei der Arbeit", "typische Mailfloskeln", usw.”
