I believe that the Tajima lenses are as good as Maui Jim, and even surpass Maui Jim! I never thought I would say that, as I have been a fan of Maui Jim for years! They arrived yesterday in plenty of time for my trip to San Diego to sail in the Mercury Nationals.
However, the best part by far was when I put them on. They were made to the 1-year-old prescription that I have on my regular glasses, but WOW, they are a massive improvement as everything is so much clearer in these lenses!! When I was racing my boat last weekend, I could find the marks so much sooner with these glasses.

It is my understanding, that the people behind Tajima, were part of Kaenon at some point, so I was excited to give their lenses a try.”
Ken, glad to hear everything was great on the lenses and you have absolutely no complaints. As for the durability and scratch resistance, they will be equivalent scratch resistance to glass and 5x more scratch resistant than polycarbonate and nylon (plastic), but the will not shatter or crack like glass will as they meet all ANSI standards for impact resistance and shatterproof.
