“A truly magnificent wine warehouse with a boutique feel.staff are knowledgable and keen to assist .there is a tasting room so that many of the wines on offer can be tried. Always great bargains to had. A veritable gem in the wine warehouse valley of Calais”

“Took advantage of free euro travel, from booking tickets to ordering wine took very little time, all was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. New tasting area was nice, staff very helpful and friendly, if there was something you wanted to try and it wasn't in the tasting area they opened a bottle with no problem. Our 4th visit and will return.”

“Brilliant ! In every respect.We do it twice a year and save in excess of £1000 on UK prices. The guys and girls are really knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Also the extensive tasting facility is very helpful. Add the fact that if you spend enough they pay the Tunnel cost, you just can't go wrong. Cheers!!”

“I like the fact that you can order in advance and get your crossing paid: the prices and quality are good, as is the range of choice: and that you can pay in sterling. The tasting facilities are good. The free wifi is very useful. The staff are always helpful and efficient. Keep up the good work!”

“I have used Calais Wine superstore for 3 years, visiting twice a year, and no longer have to pay ridiculous U.K. prices for my wine. I buy about £400 pounds worth on each trip and the price you pay is definitely better than 1/2 U.K price. You can preorder and only pay when you collect. Their staff are very friendly and always offer to help loading the vehicle. I use the Eurotunnel, paid by Calais wines, leave home in Hampshire about 07.30 and I am back in time for dinner after a nice day out. The wine qualities can only be describede as excellent. Very Happy, T.Dovey.”

“We have been using the Calais Wine Super Store for over 4 years and find it most convenient. The team are a delight to do business with, being both friendly and helpful. The savings on wine over English prices are superb with the travel being an extra bonus. I would heartily recommend anyone to try this superb business.”

“I am more than fan of the Calais Wine Superstore, it is not just the pecuniary advantage, but the range of wines, still and sparkling, but also the sheer fun, which as opposed to Majestic and other warehouse style outlets, strikes a balance, not found elsewhere. I am also a customer in the UK of Laithwaites, who have fantastic marketing, may family uses them for specific purposes , mainly their big reds. They know me well, or think they do, I was amused to find they (secretly), the staff, that is, are visitors and fans of yours. Your tasting area is great, I wish I could indulge more often. Old folks like my wife and I are a bit nervous of Calais these days, but I get round this by despatching my driver and a family member; I am hoping however to enjoy another visit come spring, stay at the town centre, Holiday Inn, make a repeat visit to the restaurant, recommended by the team; Le Channel, we thought it excellent by any standard and so have friends sent there by us. Which brings me to the essential ingredient of the CWS, the team of staff, constantly, efficient, cheerful, knowledgeable and obliging. My one single recommendation would be to add a small selection of known brands of Port, Sherry and Aperitifs, no need to have a wide range and probably no need to have a vast cash saving, but if you carry them, customers will not go elsewhere to buy.”

“We've shopped here several times, the staff are always helpful, the wines are fabulous value and you can taste any you're not sure about. AND the bonus is the free ferry or tunnel crossing (subject to spend) which you can use either as a day trip or en-route to/from Europe. We haven't noticed any disruption at Calais over the past year.”
