The order was found, eventually. The out-of-stock item was substituted satisfactorily. When I returned home I found a message from CWS telling me of the shortfall; it was sent a mere four hours after I had collected the order! Otherwise the service was cheerful and efficient.

Another successful trip, however a shortage of Prosecco - staff always friendly and helpful.

First visit, first pre-order but it wasn't ready for us. The very pleasant girl after a search, quickly gathered it together for us and prioritised our getting through the till. So, all in all a good experience.

Very nice shop and very helpfull staff. My order was ready for collection and it seems to be that this shop does their homework properly. Only downside is the many refugee's which are in the area in big numbers which must give many customers an unsafe feeling as the minute you park your car and get out you have 5 pairs of eyes looking at you. All business on the estate should make a firm statement to the local authorities to sort this.

Ordering was simple and collection easy on the day. The free crossing option is always welcome.

If you're looking for decent wines at exceptionally good prices, a visit to The Calais Wine Superstore is a must. Having moved from South Africa to the UK last year, I was ecstatic to discover this wine warehouse just across the channel and have visited every 4 months to stock up on wine & bubbly. My wine (pre-ordered online) is ready and waiting for me on a trolley when I get there and if I spend £250 they pay for my Euroshuttle across, making the whole process a no-brainer. My only complaint with the place (which is why I haven't given it 5 stars) is that the toilets really stink. They could do with some serious air fresheners, but I think the reason for this is that its a unisex toilet which means that us women walk into a smelly room where there is usually a man at the urinal relieving himself, which results with embarrassment all round since this in not normal practice in the UK (and most of us are from the UK).

Recent mega offer of red wine at 99p was a bit dodgy as it tasted (luckily I tried!) terrible! Order which, to be fair, was only sent in the previous day, was not ready.

We have been lots of times and always spent over £250. We have always been impressed with the friendly staff and ability to taste all of the wines. But this has changed significantly. The French staff were abrupt and unhelpful. I asked to try a fizzy wine Te Hua. Cost £3.99 she refused because we said we wanted 6 bottles. Instead she wanted to give me champagne because it was open. But I didn't want to buy it or taste it. Then we asked to try a wine called Motte. Cost £1.99. Again the answer was no. We spent £350 and felt very irked by the attitude. It's not like we asked to try expensive wines or that we weren't spending a significant amount. The woman in particular was rude.

Having posted a deservedly poor review on my prior visit, I am pleased to report that I was contacted by one of the Company Directors who duly apologised for my experience and offered me a discount for the recent visit/order. All went smoothly this time and I shall return again despite earlier misgivings

Good selection, tasting was easy and the whites were nicely chilled. Just a quick heads up - its all in the info they supply, but I was surprised and disappointed at the exchange rate they use for Euros on pricing. They are very clear that if you want the UK price, then you need to pay by cash or cheque(?). This is important, as they exchange rate they are currently applying is euro 1.20 to gpb to 1.00. The current credit card exchange is closer to 1.09 and has been for quite some time. I left feeling I had been taken advantage of. Again, all this is on the info if you read it, so no one to blame but myself, but for such a great product, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I ordered on line and when we got there the trolley was ready loaded with our order and all we had to do was load the car and pay. Knocked off a star because we still do not have our voucher for our next trip (3 day short break) because we spent nearly £650 !!! Have chased up the shop but no response as yet ...poor to promise something and then not deliver !!!
