“Good choice of wines - all at competitive prices. Well worth the trip. Staff are very jolly, friendly and helpful. The only down side the last time we were over was that the apparently new wine tasting area wasn't working at all. Big disappointment. Put it down to "teething troubles" with the new system. Hope it won't happen again, Looking forward to our next pre-Christmas visit.”

“I have enjoyed all the wines that I purchased from Calais wine. They have a very wide range to suit all pockets. Perhaps they could extend the variety of beer range, eg special brew etc, but I cannot fault the items stocked. Regards D.G.”

“We have been dealing with them for several years and are extremely satisfied with A) Their competitiveness B) Their service is second to none- I simply place an order and it is there waiting for us, on a trolley, when we arrive. C) The staff are very friendly and efficient . Regards Terry Caddick”

“A brilliant selection and the ability to taste before you buy. The staff are superb, helped me out when my car broke down in the car park and the breakdown people spoke no English. Only downside is the pre order website. It is not user friendly. I like to take my time ordering and reading the detailed tasting notes. If you then want to change your draft order it seems to double up.”

“I loved it! Usually a booze cruise means hours spent buying the wines, getting them on and off conveyor belts and being exhausted at the end of it and little time to do anything else. We arrived at the shop, after ordering online and our wine was ready loaded in a cage, we paid and spent the rest of the day sightseeing. We will be back!”

“Excellent choice of wines available from everyday drinking wines to special occasion wines. Ability to pre-order is recommended as can then just turn up and collect. We always take advantage of the free ferry crossing offer. The best bit for us is the free tasting area. We have met some nice people over the years and have shared our knowledge on the wines we have previously purchased with them. My husband has been mistaken on many an occasion as a member of staff, given his recommendations. Haven't tried the new tasting area yet as it wasn't open when we visited in early May. We look forward to putting this to the test when we visit again in December. Staff friendly and happy to help. No pressure to buy. Can't recommend a visit here enough.”

“I have been shopping at this store since its startup many years ago and have known some of the staff from when it was Oddbins. The service couldn't be bettered both in the staff's friendly and helpful manner, but also in the great choice of wines and the super presentation. I wish them continued success in their venture and they will, hopefully, be seeing me for many years to come.”

“I have been visiting the Calais Wine Superstore for many years now. They always have an amazing variety of wines to try and great offers to take advantage of. The fact they will cover the cost of the Channel Crossing if you put in a decent sized order is a definite plus and once you are there the service from everyone involved is first class. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Calais to stock up on wine - they are definitely your one stop shop.”

“We have always found all the staff at Calais Wine very helpful. The new tasting room is excellent and there is never any trouble when you ask to taste a certain wine. There are plenty of wines to choose from and all at a reasonable price. We wouldn't go to any other wine distributor in Calais.”

“Great choice of wine at competitive prices. The tasting room puts Calais wine supermarket far in front of all the other suppliers as one needs to be able to sample the wines to make a good choice. The free ferry tickets are a good bonus which again puts Calais wine supermarket in the number one slot against the competition. I can throughly recommend this wine supplier as I use them each time I travel to Calais four times a year to keep toped up with wine. FIVE STAR SUPPLIER ?????”

“I've been using Calais Wine Warehouse since they opened (having previously been a customer at Oddbins - Coquelles) They provide an excellent choice at exceptional value - with the added bonus of free travel if you spend a nominated amount. Being able to pre-order is so simple and makes my visits so quick. Generally speaking I order more of the same - but when a line runs out as was the case with 2 superb Spanish wines which I enjoyed for a year - having the bonus of tasting takes the element of uncertainty out of choosing. I have always found the (increasing) staff very polite and efficient. Calais Wine Warehouse will continue to have my support and that of friends whom I've recommended.”
