“The tasting room is fantastic, wine deals (with ferry crossing included) are amazing and a very good choice of wine. This is my wine shop of choice in Calais!”

“Been stopping here to top up wine and beer for some years and customer service is brilliant. Generally take up the recent offer of a free day trip in exchange for spending an amount of money. Only seen not tried new tasting area but no doubt will do so soon.”

“Always enjoy visiting Calais Wine. Good selection of wines , reasonable prices and the staff there are always helpful and pleasant. The travel concessions are excellent and are a great incentive to visit. And you get a nice day out as well. What else can you ask for!! Pity about the problems in Calais at the moment.”

“I've been going to Calais Wine since they opened. They've always been good and they just keep getting better. The tasting room is a great hew addition. The reason I go is the great selection of wines at incredible prices. I live 350 miles from Dover so when I go I buy enough for a year, a full pick up truckload. I get a few dozen Aussie sparkly at a bargain four quid, a good few wine boxes for my Motorhome. The rest I hit the three for six pound selection, majoring on S America and Australia. Cheap AND very good quality. I used to check out competitors like Pidou (yuck) and Majestic but they can't get near for price or quality. CWS is my one stop shop now and I hope to return many times. PS I use the tunnel with Tesco vouchers and go for the spend. £1000 get £100 free stock offer. That pays my diesel. For more moderate purchase amounts check out their free travel offers. I love these guys!”

“Superb prices, very helpful staff and a good variety of wines. A very pleasing experience. I would like to see a bigger selection of Belgian beers and sparkling red wine. My first and eagerly awaited stop from the Shuttle.”

“Where to begin Calais Wine fantastic we have done 2 trips now for our Daughters wines for the Wedding next year, also topped up with the Prosecco and other wines for the Summer and Christmas. Have praised the Store and staff for their warm welcome and expert knowledge and no pressure sales (like one big happy family) friends and family now have taken our advice and with the special offers offers of the paid crossing makes it's madness not to try it..don't forget even if you pre book it and try others at the tasting rooms you can chop and change it's no bother what better to spend the day in France and pick up your orders on the way back, they have it already for you..look forward to going again real soon cheers boys and girls here's to you keep up the good work thanks”

“Visit once or twice a year. There is always excellent service. Wine order always ready for collection when we arrive. If for any reason a wine is not available alternatives of the same type and value are suggested. Even if you pre ordering there is still an opportunity to taste and change wines before buying final choice or even new wines to the order.”

“Having been a customer of Oddbins originally and now Calais Wine Superstore since the day it opened, I guess I can almost be described as the most loyal and longest customer. CWSS is difficult to fault: the selection of wines for a start is probably THE best in Calais, and Simon always seems to be able to offer parcels of wine which are excellent value and great drinking. On my frequent visits, I've watched how the business has boomed and developed, and the layout of the store has improved along with the new tasting room, which is excellent. Simon and his staff are always ready to help, whether it be with advice or queries or returns and their willingness to price match is never a question. All in all, CWSS is easily and by far the best wine store in Calais by a large margin, the staff are excellent and helpful, and we know each other so well now that I count them all as personal friends. One only hopes that the current problems at the Port and Eurotunnel with migrants will eventually be sorted out and normality will return to the Calais businesses affected.”

“On the number of occasions we have used the shop in Calais our expreience has been a good one. We appreciate the non pre-order arrangement but in our case this is not a major factor in choosing the Calais Wine Superstore. We have not had the pleasure of trying the Tasting Room yet but look forward to sampling some choice wines in the future. We don.t buy a lot of beer but have noticed the wide range of choice.”

“A good range of decent quality wines at good prices. Opening hours are good and staff very helpful. We use the Coquelles branch on our way back from longer trips to the Auvergne so aren't able to benefit from tunnel or ferry deals. Maybe this is an area Majestic could look at ?”

“We love popping in here to pick up our wines. Pre-ordering means we take just a few minutes to visit, pay and load the car. There is a great range of wines offering big savings on UK prices. The staff are always very welcoming, helpful and so well organised. We recently had to cancel collecting our order just a couple of hours prior to our agreed time due to the M20/ Calais crisis. The staff were so understanding and we were soon able to rebook our crossing and collect our original order a week or so later. We feel that we save money and lots of time as order is always waiting for us neatly stacked on a trolley and takes just a few minutes to get here from the tunnel. No hesitation in recommending a regular visit here.”
