Where do I start? Well, without a lie, probably the most shambolic company I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with, and I’ve dealt with some bad companies in the past, but these are premier league! Well, it all started when my wife ordered a large wooden root lamp, not cheap around £250.00 so a significant purchase, and prior to the expected delivery my wife contacted them for a more precise delivery date/time, as she wanted to be sure somebody would be home to accept the delivery, she was given the date, and told the advisor specifically to avoid the 11.30am to 1.30pm time slot as nobody would be home, any other time would be fine, advisor said he would note this, and also get the delivery driver to call in advance on the day, well that did not happen. I was working 120mls away on the day of delivery, got a call around midday to say I’m now on your doorstep but nobody home, I explained the situation and he said if he took it back he did not know when he would be coming back again, so I said we’ll in that case you’ll have to leave it up near my garage door, as wife would be home soon, which is what he did. What he did not mention was that it was pouring with rain at home, and the lamp he was delivering was only wrapped in some plastic wrapping, and that was split and open! As you can imagine, when we opened the lamp, it was soaking wet, the base was saturated from being left on a wet concrete driveway and left us really disappointed and angry to be honest. That night I dried the lamp in front of our stove for several hours, and checked that it did in fact work, not exactly what you expect to do with a brand new £250.00 lamp, and next day contacted GFC to explain the situation. I was dealt with by Rachael (Customer Services Advisor), I explained that through no fault of my own, the lamp could not be considered brand new before it was actually handed to me, and for that reason I would like (and expect) some kind of discount off the original price paid, or alternatively if she could let me know their returns policy please for a full refund. Well, after numerous emails back and forth (really poor customer service) Rachael said bottom line is I can have £25.00 discount off a future purchase, to which I said do you honestly think I would buy from GFC again, or I could return the item at my own cost for a refund less 15% re-stocking fee! I am still seething and this has not ended yet..!

The item I ordered wasn’t delivered for 3 weeks, and only arrived after numerous emails and phone calls. On opening the item, it was the incorrect colour and I am yet to receive the correct item or a refund. I recommend avoiding this company. The service is very poor.

The Garden Furniture Centre gave poor service and I cannot recommend them. The time taken to reply to some emails was ok [8 emails took 1-4 days] but there were 8 more emails which went unanswered. After placing an order, they sent an email stating "Our current delivery lead time is 4 weeks", despite the order being placed with kerbside deliver [additional charge], which states '48/72 hr despatch'. The order eventually arrived after 21 days, and only after several email prompts. Upon challenging the 4 week deliver times, I was subsequently called "arrogant" by a member of staff. I ordered incompatible items and whilst this was of my own making, an observant sales team would have noticed this and rectified it prior to despatch. Whilst I attempted to resolve the situation amicably, and offering to remove a poor review elsewhere, I have, perhaps unsurprisingly, not received a reply to that email. In a previous email, I was told "If you wish to have a refund, then you will have to find a way to return the goods to us." The full facts and details have been sent to the company.

Sadly I have resorted to leaving bad review due to lack of action. I placed an order that was delivered, incomplete, in May. It is now mid-September and the last piece (an integral back cushion) was never delivered. Despite calls and emails, and very kind replies from the company, there has been no follow through. So I am left with two garden chairs that are meant to look like a set that basically looks shabby and is uncomfortable because of the missing cushion. I was told of delays at the factory and supply chain issues which I do appreciate in this climate. However the order should not have been shipped or indeed accepted if it was not ready.

I had the Tree trunk lamp delivered with wrong coloured shade black and broken plug. Rang the garden centre and told a cream shade available from the shop floor but I’d have to wait 3 weeks for it to be delivered. My husband and I op to drive around trip 110 miles. We got there and given a new plug… then the sales assistant Chris said he’d put my cream shade into the box I’d returned the black shade in. I helped put it in within seconds. Didn’t feel they were very apologetic considering the journey we had taken to get there, after all it was their mistake! Returned home only to find the cream shade had marks and dirt on it! I rang up and was spoken to by a rather rude sales girl. She told me the sales assistant Chris said I’d checked the shade, this infuriated me as I helped put the large shade into the box with him and he could see id not checked it over, pure lie! I got in the end a £50 refund. If I could have purchased the tree trunk lamp from anywhere else before Christmas I would have! I will never purchase from this shop again.

took £500 deposit and promised it was physically in stock !!! then Natalie sent email to say she had sold it to cheaply, even though she checked the price with her boss whilst at the flower show at tatton. when I threatened legal action received another email from John who said it was not in stock or available !!!! lies lies lies

Big warning stay away everyone they will take your and let u chasing them and always new person pick up calls if they do most of the time they don't even pick calls

Warning 🚫they will take your money. And disappear you will end up chasing it and you might or may be never receive anything as they will just cancel your order eventually or takes forever to deliver. And also fake reviews available from their staff as I was looking at the reviews I found name of same person called Natalie plummet made a 5 star review. That says it all. So everyone stay away or you can try your luck if u want.

dresadful service, bought a garden sofa in July and still waiting for cushions 25th September, but they just lie when you call. They lied from the get go when they said that the sofa was in stock...it wasn't. They are just awful, avaiod at all cost.

I ordered a parasol which they said was in stock. They didn't deliver so I rang and they said was out of stock. I asked to cancel and they said no problem. I have been unable to get my money back after 2 weeks of waiting. It appears they deal through a call centre and you can never speak to an employee. Avoid at all costs.
