“I paid for the overnight service to be delivered the next day,the driver came and l was not available.When l phoned he promised to come back on his way out,but he never did.
I ended up picking the parcel from the depot in Nandi Drive.
I met with Hendri,the operations manager who promised to sort it out by reimbursement my fuel and time cost.
Sadly nothing has been done as yet.
There service is pathetic. They are a bunch of pathological liars

I've been dealing with the Courier Guy for more than 10 years, and has NEVER received such bad attitude, rudeness, unwillingness to assist. The locker in town are all offline, so I couldn't deposit my parcel. I then drove all the way to the kiosk, but the woman said I must go look for another locker. She can't help me. That the way it works. The woman's name is Glory.”

“We have had an account with The Courier Guy for a long time, and I am disgusted with the attitude from the WhatsApp chat. I was just cut off from the chat. This delivery was for overnight delivery for an actress for her mics. There was a delay from their side that they did not collect. So, she got the mics late. Then when i questioned this on The WhatsApp chat i was rudely responded to as I am not paying for overnight because of a delay on their side. I am not leaving it here because this is not how you do business if it's your fault then you need to own up to it and credit back for failed service. The attached was the rude person that just ended the chat.”
“I was supposed to receive my parcel on 1 April, only got it on the 9th and you guys are unreachable and liars. Didn't contact me not once in those 8 days and you driver Tshepiso (+27)74 289 7976 had attitude(Told me he'll just return with the package it's not his problem. On top of all that you only tell that you don't deliver to Boikhutsong on the day of the late delivery and that I would have to fork out another R270 for your driver to deliver to my address. You service is the most terrible I've received.I humbly ask that fire yourselves. The abovementioned unnecessary delays and uncalled for predicament was with the Klerksdorp branch by the way, if ever you were willing to solve thier customer service issues which I doubt you will.”

“The Dbn branch staff that takes customers calls are self focused, customer unfriendly and I have don't care attitude. When I ask question the answer is silence!!!. There is little communication between them, the operation and the poor driver that pitched up at my gate because the dbn branch did not inform him that I would not be home. In addition the content of my package was broken. I wish my supplier would change courrier company.”
“I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience with The Courier Guy. Not only was the wrong item delivered, but the attempts to rectify the situation were met with an appalling level of service from the Cape Town call center. I dealt with three different agents, all of whom were utterly incompetent: one hung up on me mid-call, others kept me on hold for over five minutes, and the one who did speak to me had muffled, unclear speech and a complete lack of interest in assisting.
This level of service is absolutely unacceptable, especially in January at 11 a.m. There is no excuse for such incompetence. The company clearly needs better recruitment and training—there are countless vibrant, highly qualified young graduates in South Africa who would be capable, motivated, and eager to do this job properly.
The Courier Guy’s current approach reflects poor standards, disregard for customers, and a complete failure to deliver even the most basic service. Immediate corrective action is required.”

I wanted to lodge a complaint regarding the shipment I submitted to the kiosk at Horizon.
On Wednesday, 17 December I submitted a parcel for delivery with reference: TCG44702342
I paid R110 for this shipment
The following day I returned to submit a different shipment, wherein I was told by the ladies at reception that I needed to pay an extra R80 as the area I was delivering to was regarded as a high risk. I did not even oppose or argue, I paid the R80 shortfall because I wanted to maintain a good working relationship with the team as I use the service frequently.
On the same day, the 18th of December, I received a text from my client who told me that she has receive a notification about the delivery of her book. A few hours later - around noon, she texted to notify me that the driver had said he will not be able to come due other delays/events. I apologized to my client and told them that they would probably receive the package the following day.
On the 19th of December my client told me that she did not receive the package and that they had waited and waited - to no avail. Due to me travelling at the time I was unable to follow up on this matter, however on 23 December I got a message from TCG advising me to collect my package at the Horizon Kiosk, later I received a text from the team and I advised them that I was travelling and would come get the parcel after the holidays.
I went to the Kiosk on Tuesday, 30 December - and the receptionist/cashier told me that I needed to pay in order to get my parcel back. To which I was in complete and utter shock... I was surprised about what exactly I am paying for? I have paid R190 for this delivery - which has clearly not been done and I must pay some more? Out of frustration I left and told them to keep the parcel.
They kept on trying to contact the driver who was not answering his phone. The guy kept on saying that this driver had been ignoring their calls even though they could see he was online. The only note the driver wrote was that he could not get hold of my client. Nothing was documented about his earlier interaction and postponement. I believe that no effort was taken to get this package delivered. Luckily my client kept me informed throughout the process about what was happening. The driver failed to perform his duties I don't know why I am being penalized.
Since no effort was made to also notify me when they could not get hold of the client, I request for refund for the delivery fee paid and my package back. My client was not contacted on the second day after the postponement, the driver needs to advise what happened. But I cannot be held liable for this.]”
“Quite pathetic. Im surprised they have two stars! They quoted on my parcel which I sent and paid extra for overnight. Four days later the parcel was still sitting at their hub. Apparently they under quoted and I had to pay in. No contact what so ever took place. They are really a pathetic institution who are trying to be totally online but are clearly not geared for it.”
“These guys incorrectly scanned a shipment (a Christmas gift for my two boys), resulting in the package being sent from George to Johannesburg instead of to Herm****. The expected delivery date was 23 December, but I have now been told it will be between 29 and 31 December. No apologies offered or attempt to rectify their error, just tough luck for their poorly serviced customer. Will definitely never use this company again!”
