Terrible company that can't get a pre order out even 4 days after release.

I paid for an item that I never received! I ordered a game and waited for delivery. 10 days later I contacted The Game Collection to let them know that I haven't received the game. I got a response from Rebecca who told me that the game had been delivered but the tracking showed that it had been delivered to the wrong address. It showed that it had been delivered to a completely different street. She told me that it was my responsibility to contact Royal Mail and go to the street and knock on doors to see if I could find the game. She has offered no replacement or refund and simply says that she can ask Royal Mail to investigate. This is completely unacceptable as the contract of sale was with The Game Collection, their choice of courier is not my responsibility. They can see that I haven't received the item but they refuse to refund or replace it. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I am disgusted and would never purchase from The Game Collection again.

Elden ring pre order arrived on the 24th, technically a day before release, enabling me to play at release at 11pm that day. Exactly how pre orders should be done and a good price to boot. Would thoroughly recommend The Game Collection

Refused a refund after a far too lengthy so-called investigation.

I bought my sons the Nintendo Switch Need for Speed Hot Pursuit game for Christmas 2020, but it has now stopped working 22.02.2021. I Have contacted Nintendo, You The Game Collection & EA. Nintendo & EA have stated that The Game Collection are liable for an exchange, repair or refund And under the Consumer Right Act 2015 it states we are entitled to an exchange, repair or refund. The Game Collection Have said it is not their problem. We would recommend people not to purchase anything from The Games Collection. We will never use this online store again.

the past year. To preface, I've been ordering from this website for years and in the past, they have indeed been excellent , but as you'll see from peoples recent experience, especially with Assassin's Creed Valhalla, they are dropping the ball alot lately. Thier processes clearly aren't efficient but there's no acknowledgement, only excuses that 'its out of thier control' I ordered a PS5, a despatch email came through the morning the day before release but it transpired that this didn't mean despatched, it meant it was packed. Fast forward customers were reassured that Parcelforce tracking numbers would be sent that evening when the systems were collected. This never happened. Upon looking at Parcelforces service update it said that same day collections were not being done nationwide because of the pandemic, and haven't been since September, so why did Game Collection use thier service? Later on on launch day customers were advised that parcel force werent able to collect all thier orders. So, Why did they not check Parcelforce could actually handle Thier demand? Especially knowing they wouldn't be collected in time. So on launch day, nothing, they also insisted everyone contact them individually via twitter, presumably to keep a blow up off twitter This isn't the only issue, they often have frequent supplier issues which don't seem to happen with the likes of Simply Games and ShopTo. The most recent example was with Yakuza 7, they didn't actually get stock on launch day, this was sent on launch day and it took two days to arrive, curiously with a royal mail Tracked 24 sticker on the front. I've noticed this pattern recently as well, games taking two days to arrive yet having royal mail Tracked 24 stickers which, according to a friend of mine who does collections and processing at Royal Mail are treated as a priority, so whats going on, are the game collection being transparent with when they ACTUALLY send stuff? My advice, as a very long standing customer, is avoid them from now on, unless you don't mind waiting or being given poor information about your orders
