“Well written, comprehensive. Maybe too comprehensive. One doesn't need to know about rods and cones, nor the names of the inner ear bones. I would have hoped for a litte more emphasis on the use of turn signals and the use of headlights in inclement weather or in tunnels. These "rules" are widely ignored, along with the token slowing at stop at Stop signs.
It's worth the money if you have the time it takes to do the test.”
“Very long. Like 20 hrs to do 13 chapters. With the time it took for 2 of us to take the course I'm not sure of the benefit on our Insurance, if it's truly beneficial.”

“Covered most important elements older drivers should be concerned with. Would have liked more in depth coverage about how to get out out the way of emergency vehicles with lights and sirens on when you are stuck in the middle lane of 5 lanes of stopped traffic. Diagrams of where to stop for school buses. Other than that, it was pretty easy to follow.”

“It is most relevant that this kind of information be included in the licensing exam or tests. Definitely, very important information is given in this course. A little too many statistics in some chapters. The Newton basic laws application is very good, I'll say it is probably the most important part of the course.

“It is a fine course, but does not cover laws relating to bicycles or emergency vehicles. These are 2 very important issues that all drivers should know. Not covering yielding to all emergency vehicles creates a huge problem and not covering that bicycles should follow all vehicle laws is dangerous. I have encounted many bicyclest riding on sidewalks against the flow of traffic and then being insenced when drivers pulling out of a driveway or crossing a road do not see them.”

“You did what you said you would do. The course was less relevant to senior drivers than others I have been forced to take, and you might want to look at ways to focus it on issues related to older drivers. The phisiology of vision, hearing and the dementias was interesting but tangential to improving the driving skills of older drivers.
There was no initial explanation of how to use the sound feature of the website -- this really should have been clarified. I also believe (could be wrong) that California no longer requires (a recent change,I think) over-70 drivers to physically report to a DMV office to renew thier license. You had a test question that said such in person appearance IS required.
Taking a course like this is a punishment that California imposes on older drivers.”

“I never expected to spend as much time on eyesight, hearing, cardiovascular function, neurological function and potential reasons for taking one's drivers licence. I am suspicious that CA DMV is pushing older drivers into driving retirement.
Once I go beyound that portion of the course, I found the remainder of good use and picked up a couple tips that are very useful.
I can foresee a point of time, God willing, when I will relocate nearer to my children on the east coast of the USA and may not need to drive. Hopefully, this class will provide a discount on my annual vehicle insurrance premiums.”
