“Received my dog guard for my new Mondeo estate the day after ordering and had it installed in 10 minutes. Solid as a rock, no screws and fits perfectly. Couldn't be more impressed with the product or the srevice.”

“This is a good product, very sturdy and solid and the ordering and delivery process was efficient and speedy. The instruction for putting the item together and fixing it in the car are absolutely hopeless though and I went wrong and had to start over a couple of times. Far from taking 10-15 minutes, it took me well over an hour and I have bruises from trying to force it into place! That said, now that it is in I am very happy with it.”

“The dog guard is well made and has a good quality feel and professional look to it. Unfortunately it takes a while to get the fixing of the unit correct and if you put the seats down the guard practically falls down or swings about resulting in you having to remove it. If a long item is placed in the boot you will have to remove the dog guard to prevent it from falling down. I am going to send it back unless they have a better fitting kit enabling the dog guard to remain in place with the seats down.”

“Just tried guard in my Avensis tourer and found it does not fit.The angles and lengths of the feet are incorrect ie the adjustable foot which fits to the c pillar is wrong, could damage trim panel. The feet which sit down to the inner wing trim panel appear to be incorrect causing guard not to sit true vertical. The securing lugs do not have enough thread length to operate and again there seems to be an angle issue with regard to the round bar welded to the guard through which the the above lugs are suppose to run with the securing nut. Will be returning guard for refund..”

“Well, you get what you pay for really sums up my thoughts on the Travall dog guard. Its not that much more expensive than a generic guard, but its oh so much better. Great quality, good fit, no jagged edges, fitted in 10 minutes. Would I recommend it to someone, yup, for sure. Purchased Seat Leon guard.”

“We have two young and energetic dogs (father and son) that are not necessarily kind to car interiors. We also have acquired a new (that is new to us) Ford Focus C-Max that we need to look after. The Travall transport gadget is just what we need to keep the dogs contained in the boot. It was easy to assemble and the dogs, albeit reluctantly, have quickly become accustomed to the new regime. I am a very pleased customer.”

“Excellent product, delivered quickly. This is the second dog guard I have bought from Travall - 1st for a Vauxhall Astra and now a Zafira. Easily installed and with 2 large dogs the guard needs to be sturdy and it is.”

“The dog guard - now that it has finally arrived - is fine. Good quality and perfect fit for my new car. However, despite my being promised the dog guard would arrive within 1-2 working days, it took a week to arrive. This was hugely inconvenient as I could not leave my dog unattended in the car (unless I wanted short white hairs everywhere). When contacted about the non-arrival, Travall did contact UPS and did promise me a refund of postage money immediately...it has yet to appear in my bank account. I'm disappointed.”

“This product is a real disappointment. The picture instructions are hard to follow with no words to explain. My product was delivered with a steel frame with one of the slots not pushed out so the base would not locate properly. A replacement was sent by the next day - this was the only positive part of my experience, although there cannot be much quality control at the factory to ship faulty parts in the first place. The cage is hard to build, and the hex screws that hold it together do not locate easily in the plates they screw into - this part is very fiddly. Then when you have made the cage it looks the part, but when you use it in the car it rattles like a plastic wheelie bin. This was an awful product to put together, and when you finish it it is an awful product because the metal door and all of the plastic parts rattle away. In an estate car where you are in the same space as the cage the racket of it rattling is unbearable, so it will probably go on eBay and I will buy a proper cage from a pet shop for a third of the price. So the good points are it looks good, it would probably work well in a van or truck where it is in a separate part of the vehicle and you cannot hear it rattling, and the customer service to replace faulty parts is very quick and efficient. The bad points are it ships with faulty parts, it is really fiddly to assemble, and when you have made it, it rattles like a wheelie bin. This is not quality German design and engineering - this is the Trabant of dog cages.”

“The dog cage for my Merc ML270 was Far too small for my dog, it looked bigger on the web site. Also, as I took some shape bends (not fast as it is a 4x4) the cage totally rolled over in the boot and my dog was not only squashed in the cage but he was in total panic, due to the cage rolling onto it's top. I got out straight away, got him out of the cage and let go on the back seats! Humph! :(”
