“I bought a £20 Black Summer Truffle and was extremely pleased with it, as was my 13 year old son who has bern wanting to try one for years! I also received a complimentary 100g pack of truffle butter which was absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that the packaging was a little excessive, but needs must as it needed to be kept cool and protected. Definitely buying from Trufflehunter again!”
“Never having tried truffles before, I ordered a selection of truffle products, I believe the summer truffles are milder than winter, so was not surprised they were quite light. BUT the truffle butter was just so amazing, I also really enjoyed the 3 jars of truffle condiments especially the truffle slices. So much so had to order more truffle butter and now trying the truffle oil too. I think I enjoyed the products more than the actual truffle, but I will see what a winter one is like later on in the year. I doing my homework as we are growing some oak trees and want to inoculate them with truffle to grow on. So doing homework first, then to find truffle puree for their roots”
“An excellent product, I have ordered twice already and will continue to do so. Delicious oil I use on fried and poached eggs, spaghetti, bruschetta and many other foods. It brings the food to another dimension, it's an acquired taste but if you're looking for good quality then this is up there with the best and for a very reasonable price. Fast and efficient, well packaged and tracked delivery. A very happy Cutomer. Highly recommended.”
“I have used Truffle Hunter several times. They have really got their deliveries operating very well now. Things arrive quickly and well packaged. The products I have tried (fresh truffle, minced truffle, truffle oil, truffle dust, truffle butter) have all been great. All in all, a real good little company.”
“I still gave 5 stars even though not everything totally perfect (see below). Mainly, however, the quality of my truffles: absolutely excellent! Firm, fresh, fragrant, and have already found themselves being sliced into two home-made terrines of Foie Gras, and over lightly Scrambled Eggs. My order also included two jars of the excellent Tartufo and Black Olive paste, which has been one of my staple ingredients in my kitchen for several years. So to my niggles: 1) My order for 75g of truffle arrived slightly "light", at 73g. Not enough to complain about, and to be fair, often as not in the past, the order has been over weight by up to about 10g. 2) The delivery was before noon, the day after my truffles had been dispatched, but I was disappointed to see the one ice bag that had been placed in the polystyrene box, had fully melted, and the contents (including my truffles) were well above fridge temperature. I think in this sunny weather, a little more ice and/or insulation is in order 3) I entered the "FREECRISPS" special offer code at checkout - but my order arrived without any truffle crisps! All in all, then, still a happy bunny, and the approximately 30g of truffle I have yet to use, is keeping fine in some risotto rice in the top of my fridge. Mmm there's a thought ... Risotto!”
