The organisation of the session was very slick and all the staff very pleasant. However, I think that charging for the sighting lap is a cheek, especially in a bus which provides limited vision and in my case suffered door failure. Also, "three laps" is hardly a fair definition as the third lap is curtailed well before completion ti return to the pits. As the first lap is really an out lap, when you are trying to get familiar with the vehicle and the circuit, the experience is actually more like one and a half laps. I was on the classic cars and drove the Mustang and the Healey, I enjoyed experiencing the American muscle car but the Healey's impossibly idiosyncratic gear shift ruined that run for me.

Thank you Richard for your review, I will pass on your feedback on the Healey to the technical team.

So... I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend so he could drive a GTR, R8 and a DB9. We traveled over an hour to get to the event, finding out it’s an air field, expecting it to be a track or a circuit. When we arrived, he gave them the paperwork, not asking for a drivers license, and then we were told he was only driving the Nissan GTR and it would cost extra to drive any other cars. On top of that, he was pressurised to pay £25 for insurance as they stated there would be a £5000 excess if any damage is caused to the car! An extra £5 had to be paid for a minibus ride round the “track” at an exhilarating 15mph. Having being told to arrive 45 minutes early, we waited for 30 minutes before having the safety brief (lasting about 10 minutes) and then had to wait another 30 minutes to get into the car. To be honest, it felt like a lot of waiting around. When they called for him to get into the car, they told him he was a PASSENGER! This was frustrating considering he had paid for the insurance for the car and they should have realised that. Once he’d finished, we went back to reception and asked what was going on and thankfully they acknowledged their mistake and off he went driving the GTR. We didn’t bother attempting to see the video/photos at the end as we just knew it would cost extra (thankfully we didn’t - I’ve learnt photos cost £25). The waiting time wouldn’t have been an issue if the driving experience itself had lasted longer than 5 minutes. The “track” was also super busy and so far away. The staff were friendly and everyone had a smile on their face but it really doesn’t change the fact that we felt ripped off BIG TIME. On the upside, my boyfriend got to go round the track twice, as a passenger and driver👍🏼 It was definitely an experience but not a good one and I will definitely not be recommending this to anyone.

Overall a very enjoyable experience, however a couple of points to note: The entrance to the venue not easy to find and similarly not easy to exit - better signage required. Facilities a bit basic but adequate - no driving licence check on registration. I found the E-Type difficult but exciting to drive - the clutch in particular very fierce and juddery on third gear corner, but awesome acceleration. Purchased a video package which provided a good memory of the experience.

I had a very enjoyable day but I have only given 4stars as the cars that were uses were old and very worn out. I would have been better if they had some of the latest cars to use.

The staff were very friendly, the event was very well managed. Track was a little short only using approx 1/3rd of the runway. I did the 5 car event and they all seemed to be a little slow, as there were extra silencers on the exhausts to quiet them down due to complaints from local residents. Weather on my day was bad which put a damper on the event, but you can't control the weather ! Over all I enjoyed the drives and would recommend as a look see into cars you can't afford to buy yourselves. Well worth taking a day off work and doing the Friday (cheaper) day. I also took advantage of the in car filming offer (mobile app) and have this to add to me bucket list of memories.

This experience was not the first choice as Track Days failed to supply the Castle Combe Race Circuit and offered this as compensation. Had hoped for a proper track and not a coned circuit. Very wet weather and a small inadequate shelter meant it started with everyone soaked. The sighting lap was rushed and hard to see what the driver was gabbling about as we were past it so quickly. Just as it was possible to say that the high end and very powerful car felt under control, the laps were over so not much in the way of fun. The insurance waiver was not really needed unless planning to drive like a maniac and there were also dual emergency controls on the car. Very impersonal and merely another customer to plough through in the allotted timescale. Shame. This was a present from husband who bought it in good faith that I could experience a real track. Having done a number of experiences recently, this one didn't measure up.

Enjoyed my time, the event was well organised, the instructors and other staff were very friendly. The variety and cars were fabulous with that feeling of speed, 3 laps didn't feel enough in each of the 2 cars. The rainy weather was the one thing we had not prepared for and there was little outside shelter as we waited for our names to be called. Would come again.

Old cars and not a proper track made it not that enjoyable. Staff were good and the event was well organised. It would be difficult to recommend at the asking price.

Booked this experience through red letter days for my partner. Drove for over an hour to get to the event for it all to be over in 10 mins! He spend 5 mins in each car (2 cars booked) - by the time he had got use to the car it was time for him to stop! The track is far away so was difficult to film/take pictures of him in the cars. The £30 waver left a sour taste too. There was an option to spend £25 for 11 pictures (which is ridiculous and they are only available to be downloaded onto your phone - no print outs). I believe the safety briefing was longer than the driving experience. I would not waste your money.

I had a great time at U Drive Cars, initially was booked to drive the classic Aston, but with my bucket list of cars to drive, to tick off; ended up driving a few more! Every car performed well, some much better than expected ( the Caterham in particular), just wish the track was longer!!
