Pretty underwhelming experience really. More time spent being briefed on what could not do than actual time in cars. Encouraged to pay extra for a spotter lap and waiver insurance which is really of no benefit on what is a very short, simple up and down course marked out by a few cones on a disused airfield site. Far too many cars on the course at the same time which makes the experience more like a procession which is over in no time at all.

Sorry to read you didn't enjoy your day with us.

Whilst the organisation was good the track was very short and the Lamborghini that I drove was old. I had 6 laps that could not have lasted more than 10 minutes. Disappointing.

Unfortunately 2 cars that I drove were both old and in poor condition when it comes to interiors.

So... I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend so he could drive a GTR, R8 and a DB9. We traveled over an hour to get to the event, finding out it’s an air field, expecting it to be a track or a circuit. When we arrived, he gave them the paperwork, not asking for a drivers license, and then we were told he was only driving the Nissan GTR and it would cost extra to drive any other cars. On top of that, he was pressurised to pay £25 for insurance as they stated there would be a £5000 excess if any damage is caused to the car! An extra £5 had to be paid for a minibus ride round the “track” at an exhilarating 15mph. Having being told to arrive 45 minutes early, we waited for 30 minutes before having the safety brief (lasting about 10 minutes) and then had to wait another 30 minutes to get into the car. To be honest, it felt like a lot of waiting around. When they called for him to get into the car, they told him he was a PASSENGER! This was frustrating considering he had paid for the insurance for the car and they should have realised that. Once he’d finished, we went back to reception and asked what was going on and thankfully they acknowledged their mistake and off he went driving the GTR. We didn’t bother attempting to see the video/photos at the end as we just knew it would cost extra (thankfully we didn’t - I’ve learnt photos cost £25). The waiting time wouldn’t have been an issue if the driving experience itself had lasted longer than 5 minutes. The “track” was also super busy and so far away. The staff were friendly and everyone had a smile on their face but it really doesn’t change the fact that we felt ripped off BIG TIME. On the upside, my boyfriend got to go round the track twice, as a passenger and driver👍🏼 It was definitely an experience but not a good one and I will definitely not be recommending this to anyone.

Old cars and not a proper track made it not that enjoyable. Staff were good and the event was well organised. It would be difficult to recommend at the asking price.

Main observation was that it was difficult to identify the track because of the small cones and large spaces left in between. It would be better to have larger cones, more closely spaced, or even straw bales to define the circuit. Also, one instructor was significantly more friendly and communicative than the other. This should be more consistent as it has a massive impact on the experience overall. One of the cars (the Ferrari) was very old, and it seemed a struggle to drive. Also, the length of the long side meant that around half way down, I was being told to start braking (particularly in the Aston Martin, which had very heavy brakes). Overall, to be honest, the anticipation was more exciting than the experience itself.

Quite poor experience. "Track" made of cones, only two straights and two narrow bends. Some old cars like Ferrari I drove with 500 000 miles on the clock. Not much time to get familiar with the car and adjust the seat properly. Expensive for what you get.

was told during briefing that the ride was to be a shorter ride as U Drive , drivers needed lunch. I wasn't made aware of a shortened ride at time of booking. Felt the damage waiver should be included in the price rather than making the participant feel it was required due to wording. Either have a tannoy so drivers can wait in undercover or provide some outside cover whilst waiting for allocated car to become available due to poor weather conditions. Assumed the ride would entail more than just doing an oblong circuit and would offer the opportunity to actual drive the care around a circuit.

Not a very good experience. The track was far too small to get any proper speed up and the corners had to be taken far too slowly. There are also too many cars going round the tesco at one time. We also paid for an extra lap with an instructor, it was very disappointing that it was in a Mitsubishi! As portrayed on your website it's as if the extra lap is going to be in the car you have chosen to drive. Disgusting. Anybody can have a ride in a Mitsubishi, it's nothing special. I won't be coming again and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Dear Kevin I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time with us. All your paperwork would have said that the Hot Lap was in a Performance car, so I'm sorry if this wasn't clear to you. I will check the website to make sure this is clearer. Kind regards Clare

The laps are very short, (about a mile), basically two straights and two or three corners, so my 6 lap experience was over in about 5 minutes. The Ferrari was good to drive, but it was far too short. Then I paid £10 for a hot lap (driven by their driver). Due to traffic and the fact that they return to the pits before completing a proper lap, I basically experienced just one corner at race speed. This should be called Hot Corner...not Hot Lap. Very poor. I was given this as a present, but wouldn't buy it again myself.

Too many people therefore too many cars on the track. Very narrow track. Car exhausts have been modified so don't sound lile normal model of the car No opportunities to take your own photos posing in front of the cars which was disappointing

Well what can I say, the cars were awesome, it's just a shame the boys didn't get to actually drive them faster than 40 mph as the track was a little like the M25 at times, it could have and should have been an amazing day out but turned out to be pretty dull. I wasn't even allowed to get a photograph of my sons getting into their chosen cars. When you book a driving experience , you are sort of expecting to actually get a feel of how fast they can go , not sit in a queue going round in circles. Not very pleased at all to be honest. We won't be back and I won't be recommending.

not entirely impressed with the whole set up at heyford, my first time and a present from my wife, The advert read like I was in for a real treat. Quite the opposite. I had 3 laps of a short cone track that was on an old tired runway the cars were high mileage and tired, it was around 3 mins drive per car hardly an Experian for the price. Very disappointed. Won’t be going again.

Hi Graham, thanks for the feedback. As you know the voucher was not purchased from us here at U Drive Cars. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy as much as you thought you might. The 3 mile Blast experiences are just to give you a fun taster session. Clare

Having not driven a car like this before, I was given no real direction just left to do whatever. The instructor should have been more helpful, especially since the briefing said the first lap we would be tested. I definitely don't recommend this for you first experience.

1 of the cars i drove was fun to drive and quite new (GTR). However the lambogihni was not , very old and out of date , hot lap is not worth it at all , no communication with the driven or any effort of making it enjoyable, seemed like it was an effort for him to do the thing i had paid for. The seenery itself is very cool as it in and ex army facility, the instructors in the cars are lovely , but for the money could have been alot more engaging

My driving experience was a present from a family member and I was disspointed because I am a wheelchair user the facilities at the event wasn't very good . I could not get into the briefing area properly because the doorway was too narrow . The hand controls on the car were not very good ones and at the end I did not realise I had a hot lap . And know one pointed this out and where to wait . And also at the end I could not see my photos that had been taken because there was steps into the viewing area .

Hi Scott, thanks for the review. I'm sorry you didn't talk to the crew on the day as they would have been really happy to sort this out for you. We have lots of disabled visitors and drivers. The photographers would have bought the photos out to you on a laptop if you had asked, what a shame you missed these. Clare

Waited nearly an hour for the hot lap, but despite lots of promises, it failed to materialise.

Thank you for letting us know we didn't get this right for you. I've talked to the event staff about your comments and I'm sorry you didn't get your hot lap. Clare

The circuit was too small to actually enjoy the cars. Take the corner in 2nd and by the time you hit 4th it's time to brake hard. 3 laps per car takes 3 minutes maximum. All staff were great.

Hi Bradley, the three lap/3 mile experiences are sold as a taster and only half the standard six miles Thrill expereinces. For a fast driver like yourself it was sadly over too quickly. Thank you for feeding back on the staff, they always appreciate it and teamwork is important.

Wasn't a track experience, was a coned out track.
