Lovely place and fab for the children. The toilets and showers up the top field are stinking. The same moth was on the wall in the shower cubicle for 6 nights and The flies on the walls. Having run a cleaning company for 13 years and cleaned several holiday homes, apartments and camping showers/ toilets, these are not up to the correct cleaning standards.

Stayed at Grondre for 5 days, reception staff were friendly and helpful, the caravan was clean and well equipped, the park itself is well maintained. The language used in the park and amusement arcade was atrocious which was a shame, we ate once in the clubhouse, the food was good and reasonable but the clubhouse is pretty dismal, there is a small covered seating area just outside where there were many people smoking. The staff we met were friendly. We will not be returning.

We stayed at Ocean Heights ,Newquay back in July and it was really good. Last week starting on 18 September we went to Cross Park ,what a difference.we booked the holiday through Hoseason and as we are both pensioners we asked for a quiet part of the site. Unfortunately we were given a caravan which was just a few feet from the main road.there was constant noise day and night.Just down the road from the van there are Traffic Lights so you could hear the car, lorries and motor bikes revving their engines.we asked on the first day if we could be moved to another caravan but was told this was not possible. The van was so cold that we did not stay for the full week which was a pity as the site itself is very nice.

I’m going to write 2 reviews. My first one is now while I am in the park: I love the caravan. They left goodies for my dog. The park is very nice itself. Very pretty. I go to shower, the boiler won’t work unless we turn the kitchen tap on. We had to phone another park to get them to phone this park as couldn’t get hold of anybody. We go to the clubhouse, bar lady very rude. Won’t allow our food until after bingo. Also wouldn’t allow us to buy bingo cards as it had gone 20.15. We said we had a problem with the boiler which is what delayed us but she did not care. I will write my next review when we leave.

We have stayed here many times over the last 5 years and have always enjoyed ,staff very friendly and usually the grounds are clean but after staying at grondre for 8 nights in august we proably wont be going back there again . From night 1 to our final night we had to try and sleep with dogs barking untill there owners came back usually around 1am .The other problem we had was dogs mess, i took 2 spaniels with me and always pick up my mess,on 2 ocasions we came back after a day out to find other ppls dogs mess right outside our awning . The playing field was disgusting we had dog mess over the balls and games we were using. We went with 4 other families and everday one of our vans had some poop in the awning or over our shoes . I had enough and even followed one stray back to a caravan after it shi#e by my van for the owner to tell me it wasnt her dog that had done it. It was reported at reception but nothing seemed to change . Such a shame

We enjoyed the clubhouse, the food/drink prices were reasonable and the entertainment was good. We were lucky enough to have visited on a weekend when you had a fun day, and spent some time sitting around the pool listening to the band and having a drink and some food from the bbq. The views from the park are very nice too.

The bed collapsed during the night the leg went through the floor. They didn't seem very bothered when I told them at reception in fact one man laughed. My husband banged his head bur they thought it funny. One night there was a lot of arguing in the caravan near us not what we expected from a family site.

The facilities were good and the staff were very helpful and friendly however the caravans main bedroom was damp and smelt it was very cold! We were booked in for a silver caravan but feel this was bronze or even below! It was the worst experience in a caravan we have ever had. Such a shame as we loved the camp and staff and great food would love to go back but wont trust standard of caravan. I have Asthma and could not sleep well at all.

Said free WiFi on booking form had to pay for it when we got there. Also said D.V.D player in caravan there wasn,t one. Cooker was rubbish, the oven kept going out so we couldn,t cook in it. The outdoor swimming pool was closed after a mechanical breakdown I was told a bearing in a pump had gone a couple of hours job in my estimation as an Engineer, it took two days to fix. The site shop was under stocked and grossly over priced. The Club was a good point friendly staff and they served some nice meals The Caravan was very clean and well supplied, good parking and access . Overall our Weeks family stay was pleasant not great.

We spent a weekend here in June 2016 the touring pitches were "ok" spoilt by people drinking and being very loud in their awning till the small hours, which kept my children up. Site not our cup of tea, looked at the touring permanent pitches and they seemed nice. Odd that the changing rooms were separate from the pool, therefore having to walk outside in your barefeet to get to the pool.
