“The WORST plants I have ever received in 15 years of proffesional gardening. How they are continuing to trade in this manner is beyond me. First order, poorly packaged and therefore 60% of stems snapped and the rest bent and in poor condition. Second order, yellow dried out cleomes thin and stunted growth, very poor quality growing. 24 pack rudbeckia had 3 plants with leaves on and the rest had been dead weeks BEFORE they had been sent out. Third order, Not a chance!!! I feel incredibly annoyed that they sent such poor plants and wasted my time on the phone to customer services on hold(25 mins) whilst their automated voice was bragging about their "proffesional hints and tips" that I could get from them on the website. Thanks, but I think I'd rather get advice from my 2 year old.”

“I ordered 5 very rare and expensive begonias this year as a treat. I planted them and it turns out that they are the very common cheap ones that you can buy in most shops/ supermarkets. I e-mailed them and to date have never received a reply. I will never buy from them again and would advise everyone else to avoid them too.”

“I am afraid I have never been so disappointed as when I saw the state of my tiny dried out gladioli bulbs only to be followed by some tiny plugs Brompton stocks. The worst arrived today more Brompton stocks plugs half were yellow the other half dead or nearly dead. They were dispatched on the 21/4/16 and arrived on the 26/4/16 I have to say I am absolutely disgusted with the quality of your plants and will certainly not be recommending you to anyone. I am sitting waiting for you to answered your phone to customer services.. You say you are very busy I suspect answering calls from other dissatisfied customers. It has NOW BEEN OVER 30 MINUTES.”

“I ordered a clematis. Stupidly price I paid for it was more than I would have paid for it had I purchased a significant sized, flowering plant at our local nursery. It was delivered through the postal system in a small, hand held box. The postman shoved it through the cat flap which upset the dog greatly. I now have pathetic looking, broken clematis in some sort of embryonic state and a broken cat flap. Please support your local garden centres instead of using this company.”

“Ordered 140 perennial plugs in June to be delivered by the end of August, guess what it's now nearly end of September and just received a letter saying they won't be delivered until end of October (don't hold much hope for even that). Can't be bothered to cancel apparently their complaints line is very very busy.....Mmmmmm”

“Order some plants (plugs), arrived on time but were of a very poor standard 4 out of 6 were dead, the other 2 were in very poor condition. Since then only 1 plant has survived. I wrote to customer services, and to date have not received any communication from them. Will not use them again as this is the second lot of plants that have arrived in a poor condition.”

“I bought new guinea impatien plug plants in the spring, they arrived in very poor dry condition. Despite imediate potting up and soaking in shaded greenhouse most died. I emailed customer care twice, they responded to say that the customer care was very busy ( no wonder) and they would respond later! I am still waiting its now July 31st. Steve E.”

“Ordered the £9.95 perennial offer. Microplug plants really not ready to be sent out. Half died in spite of great care and potting on. Not worth the £9.95 let alone the "previous" £80. Avoid”

“Appalling service! I ordered a Standard Magnolia (as advertised in the Mail on Sunday) it clearly stated that delivery would be any time throughout May/June. My cheque was cashed on the 26th May, I chased the delivery up at the end of June to be told it would be delivered in FEBRUARY 2016!! They seemed very surprised when I asked for my money back (I am still waiting)”

“I received plants in very poor condition. Was told by customer service that a refund would be arranged, and still waiting. The customer service of Vna Meuwen is very poor. The plant quality is so so, overall, I won't be using them again.”

“useless!! Despite request to deliver to non-billing address - they still attempted to deliver to billing-address - tried to contact company (immediately after order) to notify them of error - simply sent an automated 'we're very busy will get back to you when we can' email. one month later they finally respond - with another automated email - DONT WASTE YOUR ~TIME with these guys - they are a useless online business”

“I ordered some strawberry plants in early May. After three weeks I tried to contact to chase delivery. It is very difficult to get through on the phone and they only answer e mail when they feel like it! Finally I had an e mail telling me they were out of stock, so I instructed them to cancel my order and confirm they had done so. Nothing, no reply at all despite several reminders. Received a letter from Colin Wilson (customer service team) on 3rd June telling me there was a delay and the plants would be despatched at the end of September. So help me, the next day the plants turned up but they were in very poor condition, tiny and very dry. I will not be using this company again and would not recommend them.”

“Ordered geranium plugs. Arrived totally dried out and minute. Despite soaking, planting in good compost, six weeks on they are heading for my compost heap. I sent two emails, on,y received standard 'we will deal with your email as soon as we can' . Today, four weeks later, get two more identical emails hoping my complaint has 'resolved itself'! No more orders from me.”

“Ordered 40 bare root perennial plants, 10 varieties - 4 of each. The plants arrived looking totally dried out so I soaked them for three days before planting out. 1 variety wasn't included at all, two varieties had no label on to say what they were, 1 variety labelled Delphinium turned out to be Aquilega, the lupins didn't grow at all and neither did one of the unlabeled variety. On the whole useless. I e-mailed them regarding this matter over a month ago but stiull haven't received a response.”

“Ordered plants in good faith, nothing delivered. Delivery date came and went, tried to phone, just get recorded message trying to sell me more plants!! Emailed and got an automated reply stating company is very busy and telling me don't email again!, Rubbish customer service Rubbish company Wish I'd seen these reviews before ordering. Don't use unless you are happy to loose your money.”
