“This was our first cruise and the whole experience exceeded expectations. Attention to detail was paramount, we were met at the airport, greeted at the boat and settled in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The trips were informative and well run, extra coaches were laid on for additional visits to the Christmas markets and on our return to the boat there was always a warm towel, drink or snack to welcome us back on board. We had so much fun that on our return we booked our next cruise.”

“We have cruised both the Danube and the Rhine. The ships are extremely comfortable and the food consistently extremely good. All the places visited and the tour guides were of high standard. The guides on the Danube cruise were particularly good giving quite harrowing accounts of life under and after Soviet occupation. Fellow travellers were good company- those that had done previous cruises with other companies all told us that Viking were the best by a margin.”

“How do you describe a magical holiday? Every day a new experience. Fewer passengers meant a more family and friendly atmosphere but you still had your own space. Staff very efficient, happy and helpful; Food and service great but most of all the feeling that everyone is there to make your holiday perfect. We have booked our third cruise for later this year. Fancy joining us?”

“I much enjoyed my trip down the Danube with Viking. It was very interesting - and in some cases harrowing - in view of recent history between the Serbians and Croats. The guides in each place that we docked spoke English well and were very interesting. My cabin was luxurious with a comfortable bed, excellent TV with recent films available to watch. Some local talent performed for us as well. Finally, the food was excellent.”

“Our Cruise was to China was excellent. The tour manager was thoughtful and very good at his job. The tours were great and local guides repeated a lot what our tour manager had told us but with a slightly different angle. Overall we rated the holiday excellent.”

“Russia waterways of the tsars cruise was fantastic. As usual, staff and on board facilities were excellent. Guides for tours were very knowledgable. Interesting to see how Moscow had changed after 40 years.”

“We cruised the Danube on the Viking Idun, and must say from start to finish the service was definitely 5 Star. Everyday was taken care of, from the service in the restaurant, the housekeeping of our room, the attentive care of handling the excursions, and the daily briefing. We enjoyed every , moment, so much so we are now looking forward to our next trip in November, along the Douro. Thank you so much Viking for the personal friendly service.”

“We have enjoyed two river cruises and booked two more (one river and one 'ocean'). On each occasion the booking process was excellent as was any required follow up to it. The two cruises experienced (Rhine and Danube) were excellent, with guides and 'hotel' staff providing service of the highest standard. Our one criticism, which is policy rather than service, relates to gratuities. We would prefer them to be included as part of the cost rather than collected as an 'extra'.”
