“I stumbled across Vollers Corsets totally by accident, I am in the process of losing weight and while still self conscious about my body image I was starting to feel attractive and sexy for my husband again. I bought myself a corset as a treat to work towards, but when it arrived I fell in love!!! The workmanship is brilliant and after a very short period of thinking, I went on to the website and got mysel a couple more. One fits now, one the size down, and the one I originally bought which I were I am aiming for with my weight loss. A long journey ahead,but Vollers will make it fun along the way!!!”

“I have just today received my second Voller's corset: it is beautiful. It is a waist-training overbust in a custom fabric, with a few pattern alterations to fit my shape/size/needs. I have just put it on for the first time, starting the careful seasoning process, to get the corset used to me, and me used to the corset. As this is a 24-bone corset, I expect seasoning to take around four weeks, building up from a loose/snug fit, slowly from 1.5 hours per day (if you are new to corsets, please please google on how to season your corset: it is bad for these beautiful items, AND your body to not season correctly!) I have to say however, of all the corsets I have bought (and I have about 8? from different companies of varying quality), Voller's have been the only ones I have put on and feel comfortable in immediately. I don't know if it is because they have well over 100 years of stay making, or if it is simply that they are a premier corsetière, but I am very impressed with comfort. My primary reason for purchasing was for the orthopaedic support, which is what made me decide on a waist training corset: as these have the extra bones and supports to hold the body in place (if you know anything about the social history of corsets, you will know that they were initially an orthopaedic support device, and only later became a tight-lacing fashion item). Mr and Mrs Voller's patterns are based upon late 1800s patterns (at the cusp of the tight-lacing trend re-emerging), and were kind enough to adjust the pattern slightly so that the corset will give maximum support around my rib cage, and pelvis, whilst still being a beautiful garment which will be a pleasure to wear both as underwear and outer-wear (as opposed to an orthopaedic brace!). In terms of functionality and quality of make: my last Voller's corset is still going strong after a decade, and still looks almost new (I didn't properly season it, so I have warped a couple of bones). I can tell this corset will last many decades, possibly being an heirloom for my future daughter/grand-daughter (as long as each heir seasons very carefully!). Whilst waiting for this beauty to arrive, I did wonder about flossing, to ensure the bones would stay in the correct position, but the work and fabric is such high quality, flossing won't be necessary -- even with 24 steel bones! I will be needing longer strings to see me through these first four weeks with seasoning before the bones fully mould themselves to my body; but a doubled grosgrain ribbon should suffice for this time period, and then I will re-lace with the original high quality corset chord. I honestly couldn't be happier. This corset really is perfect. I realise there are a lot of cheap off-the-rack steel boned corsets available online, and I have bought a few myself... but quite honestly, the quality and fit are terrible by comparison, and seasoning can be, and has been, painful in those corsets! I would say save up the extra money for a Voller's, as you won't regret it.”

“I purchased one corset for a specific event in advance. The eyelets on the corset all broke the first time it was worn, I will not be paying again for such poor quality given these are reputed to be good quality I felt sadly disappointed but could not be bothered to incur extra cost returning the item.”

“Vollers is the undisputed Queen of Corsets. I ordered my first one in 1999, and it is still going strong after some delicate cleaning of the fabric. The effect upon one's all-important mid-section is phenomenal, and I have found no company to provide serious competition after considerable research. The fabrics are divine and the classic designs are my favourite. They give a girl a lift like no other corsetry, and they are properly made. Viva Vollers!”

“I purchased an overbust corset. The overbust was a regular (not custom) size 34" but the bust was made for someone with cupsize AA. Also it did not even have a waistband in it..so when laced up it stretched in the waist..so my figure stayed very much the same..not why you buy a corset. Also the baleinen. The metal lines were very very few. I had edpected so much from a Vollers corset but it was more a waste of my moneg. It would have been way better to go to a real corsetiere. So I had it remade by a real corsetiere who made extra balijnen metal lining in it..made it into a underbust since the cups were ridiculous and sewed in a real waistband. After these alterations it finally worked as a corset and I worn it a lot since. I am very dissatisfied with Vollers, the only good thing about the corset was the fabric. Good non stretch velours which I love. All in all I all advice you to go to a real corsetiere. My next one will be from Skeletons in the closet clothing from the Netherlands.”

The style you purchased is designed for customers with a smaller bust, fewer panels and not tight lacing. “I was a bit worried about ordering a corset on line in case I ordered the wrong size. With great trepidation I phoned and asked for advice. I spoke to a couple of members of their team and they persuaded me to come in for a fitting which I did. They could not have been more welcoming. I was fitted into several different corsets to try by a lovely lady. I came away with an absolutely fantastic corset that hugs me perfectly. Not sure if I should say this but they also gave me a wonderfully photographed book to take away with me. Gorgeous corset, Lovely people. I will be getting another.”

“The customer service and the corset were both good. The corset was of excellent quality but unfortunately despite several fittings from home the end product was still a little too high to fit under my wedding dress, and due to my large bust the side view of the corset was not flattering. In hindsight I should have opted for a completely custom made corset designed from scratch.”
