“Heavy Focus on signing people up but never delivouring on what they promise . Wait time to get things fixed 3-4 weeks . something simple like sending a link to sign up took 3 weeks . I should have walked away than but thought things would improved . Passengers not getting emailed receipts . If you enter wrong details for a contact you can't edit them after the fact . I am starting to regret the decision .”
“The travel.agency we were using to book our trip went out of business and it has done nothing to help us get our money back. I would.never again use a middle man to pay for a trip.”
“Have reported to BBB. This travel company has poor customer service. I paid for three in a room I had an accident and I had to cancel, I have the insurance, I was requested to pay money because now it is too in the room . The company is keeping the money I paid for thre. Insurance is paying me back. This company is Double Dipping”
“We have been using WeTravel through our dive shop, and it has only come to my attention that not only do they charge 3% for using a credit card, but they also charge a slightly higher fee, which, by my math, comes out to just over 6% for using a credit card. NOT COOL”
“This is the worst company! We planned my mothers 80th birthday party in Hawaii, it was a family trip. The organizer never communicated anything yet the company took our money on time! Two weeks before our trip, no itinerary, hotel confirmations or airline reservations. The company said they can’t help us because the organizer/agent is not responding to them! Its shameful how they treat you once they have received your money!”
“Overpriced and last-minute money grabs really turned me off. But then the insensitivity of the person in charge when it comes to the special circumstances. I did not know two years ago that my father was going to get dementia and need me.”
“Awful, awful fees and exchange rates, esp. if you're paying from outside the US, UK, and Western Europe. This has also been reflected to the tour operator. The slickness isn't worth it.”
“The lack of reliable support, ongoing technical issues, and unprofessional communication. Promises were not kept, and despite multiple attempts to resolve problems, no effective solutions were provided.”
“Wetravel charge high transfer fees but then make their real money by using exchange rates that are unreasonable compared to the rates offered by banks and can cost users many hundreds of dollars in extra hidden costs.”
“They call us all the time even though we asked them to remove our company from their solicitation lists. We have probably asked 20 times for them to stop. Today a lady named Anisha called again. She was unable to give us an email or phone for her manager.”
“stay away. this company steals your money. we used them for years. they do not fight chargebacks. reach out to tours of distinction if you have had a problem losing chargebacks. we are working on a class action lawsuit.”
“WeTravel has got to be the worst site available to write a review on a travel company. I inadvertently created a "business" account resulting in the site believing I am a travel company. I am UNABLE to delete the account to start over. Additionally, I cannot now even search for the tour company that would like me to submit a review because the WeTravel site is ridiculously convoluted. I tried to search in their "help center" on how to delete an account only to receive a hald a dozen FAQs about adding "stuff" (i.e., bank accounts) to a WeTravel account.”
“I would definitely not recommend WeTravel. I used them for several years - to bring groups to locations all over the world. When I eventually owned my own retreat space, in a foreign country (one that I had been bringing groups to through WeTravel for 5 years, they blocked my account, leaving with no access to past participants or reviews. After reaching out to them repeatedly, I was told there was nothing I could do and because I had changed my residence/location, I no longer eligible to use WeTravel. It made no sense, since everything was still flowing through the same business (legally) in the US. While I respect their desire to want to protect themselves, their policies are incredibly rigid and you only receive the same automated replies when you ask for more info/details.”
“Our retreat was a little out of the ordinary for WeTravel, but Colton Dehart, who was our account manager,
went out of his way to help us set it up, and work through all the details of making payments to providers
and co-leaders. He was always available, including on weekends, pleasant to work with, and successful in
resolving any snags we had in the process. Highly recommended.”
