“The tour was everything we wanted! We went 10 Nov to the early access Vatican tour. From the outset, our host in the office was friendly and offered coffee and pastries which were gladly accepted. But the star of the day was our guide Ana. She spent time prior to the gates opening to explain the frescos of the Sistine Chapel, so that once we got through security we could beeline for the chapel. The beeine was fast-paced and tiring and worth every ounce of energy!!! And as informative as she was about the Chapel, she was equally informed and conversational about every other room in the museum. AND, she was not afraid to say “I don’t know” which was great, because so many guides will make up “facts” to seem smart. She was honest and purely fantastic! We really feel lucky she was picked for our tour!”

“My wife, her twin sister and I were part of Vatican tour led by Grant on Saturday, Nov. 10. His narrations were very informative, and his keen sense of humor was a bonus. You know you have a good tour guide when other people are sort of leaning in to hear everything he had to say. If and when we take another tour you offer, we would as for Grant again.”

“We went on colliseum underground tour with Carlotta. The tour was amazing and our guide was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour and tour guide!”

“We purchased several tours during our October visit in Rome. What-a-Life was the best. We toured the Vatican beginning very early morning. Our guide was informative, energetic and efficient. Also a lifelong Catholic.”

“Due to snow in Chicago we were unable to make the tour. I did try to cancel 24 hours prior to the tour. However I have not received a credit for the fee. I would appreciate a refund for the 4 of us as we were unable to attend this tour. Norman Koehn”

“Monica our guide was very informative however this is a very long tour at 3.5 hrs. We were pretty exhausted at the end. So if you’re looking for a brief tour of the Forum and Colosseum I don’t recommend this tour because of the very long narrative by the tour guide and lots of walking and stair climbing.”

“Not thrilled with this experience. It was supposed to be a skip the line tour and we waited 45 minutes in a line. Paid $360 for my family to take a Vatican tour and it was never communicated that we wouldn’t be entering Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. So spent a lot of money, had a very boring tour guide, and didnt even cut the line. Not sure what I really paid for here??”
