Julia was very proactive in following up the progress of the sale, but this became intrusive at times, asking the same question with no offer of resolution. I got the impression that they weren’t used to or liked on-line, preferring local Solicetors.

We are pleased that you felt that we were proactive and apologise if you felt that this was intrusive - we do try to keep the transactions on track where we can. Our only preference with solicitors is that they engage with us, whether they are online or local as it tends to help sometimes when we can liaise between them but as we are not their client they are not duty bound to do so - we do often find though that most are willing to engage with us to achieve as smooth a transaction as is possible. I wanted to give 4 and a half stars as the service I received from Julia when I was purchasing my new home was second to none. She kept in contact on a very regular basis to see if things were going well and if there was anything she could do to help. I heard from her far more than from the agents selling my property. There was one repair that I understood would be sorted prior to completion that sadly was not undertaken, but Dan has been trying to sort this and I am happy that it will be resolved soon. I would definitely recommend this company and in fact a family member is already using them to sell their cottage. Many thanks Chris, Julia and Dan

We bought through Wilsons. Very friendly staff. weren't always armed with the answers to points raised, but were quick to respond. As we neared exchange (short chain and we were the only ones where a move was taking place) they allowed things to drift a little, but as soon as this was raised as an issue got the vendors to get on with things and exchange then took place within hours. We would recommend them.

It was called link detached but it adjoins the houses on both sides so technically it is terraced.

Excellent at presenting the property and attracting the right buyers, who tell me that they are very happy there. I would have found it easier, when asked to chase up my solicitors here if I had been told exactly what information was required, although I recognise that the several weeks' delay between my leaving and the buyers taking over were mainly down to the fact that they had been away on holiday and their solicitor was querying things which could have been settled earlier.

Staff are very professional and kept us informed at each stage of the sale. We had a few unforeseen hurdles to jump through with our lender, but Wilson’s kept our focus positive until the end.

Dan, Julia, Chris and the rest of the team were helpful and kept me in touch with viewings and feedback during the sale of our house. The sale took longer than I was given to expect as, I believe, the house was initially marketed at too high a price. This was my only criticism of an otherwise efficient house sale.

Generally, we were very happy with the service we received. Buyers were found quickly and the service was efficient. We had a small issue with compromise of personal data which was sorted out entirely satisfactorily and we received a written apology from Chris Willey, which was an entirely acceptable conclusion. There is one issue which, we felt, was not ideal which I think is worth mentioning - not a complaint, but an observation. Towards the end of our transaction, there was a hold up to the sale because our tenants' purchase was delayed a month from the original date. When this happened, Wilsons were annoyed with me, expressing that annoyance on the phone. Their view seemed to be that I was effectively in a chain and that I hadn't been completely honest about that. This was not the case. My tenants could have found alternative accommodation if necessary, but I wasn't prepared to force them into that situation. Instead, I agreed they could stay for the extra month until their new house was available. I had never given an undertaking to Wilsons about my willingness to exchange and complete before Christmas, so I found it disappointing to receive the rather unfriendly phone call that took place. I remember thinking at the end of the call that it was as if Wilsons were acting for my purchasers rather than for me. My tenants later told me that they had not appreciated the tone of the phone call they received from Wilsons that day. Perhaps someone was just having a bad day! Anyway, it all worked out fine and we exchanged and completed satisfactorily. This feedback is not meant to be negative, but simply to highlight how that particular interaction made me feel. I don't think it was Wilson's finest moment. Other than that, I received good and efficient service and I would consider using Wilsons again next time I need an estate agent.

We feel it necessary to point out that you were, in effect, in a chain, as your tenants had to delay their move for a number of weeks in order to secure their onward purchase. The frustration caused to the buyer could have caused them to withdraw. It was necessary to clarify this point to you but at no time was anyone annoyed with you. I am nonetheless pleased you were satisfied overall with our service and that all was well that ended well. Chris Willey.
