This easy-to-read yet elegantly written novel has pulled at more than one of my heart strings. Reeves has so carefully intertwined each perspective into a single ongoing story that will bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. Each of the twelve chapters is written from a different character's perspective, and although each chapter isn't long, you become connected to each and every one of them, and understand deeply why they think the way they do and why they do the things they do. This novel is often poignant as well heartwarming and uplifting, and it brings about a 21st century realism to it that is easily relatable for the average reader. The large range of the character's ages, backgrounds, gender, sexual orientation and personalities means that it is appropriate for a large variety of people, as well as allowing a single person to understand accurate perspectives of people who are different from them. It is clear that Reeves has done a lot of research in order to get these perspectives as accurate as possible.

Excellent service. Having read negative reviews was in two minds whether to order or not but as the amount was small decided to. Item was despatched the same day and I was informed how to track it etc via Royal Mail. Parcel duly arrived within three days of order. 10/10

Best online bookshop by miles! Fabulous independent business run by book lovers for book lovers. I’m a real bookworm, and I’ve been shopping with Wordery for years, I won’t use any other online bookshop now. They have such a huge selection of titles, all at great value, and with free worldwide shipping, and the option of a gift message, I often buy books as presents for friends and family and get them sent directly to them. Always 100% happy with their service. Highly recommended.

Loved this! this has got to be my favourite non fiction read of the year. The synopsis leads you to believe that the book focuses solely on food memories but it is so much more, its also a memoir about family, ambition and grief. I guess I may be slightly bias towards this book as not only did I grow up in the same era but also in the same area so for me at times it was a trip down memory lane . I loved reading about her climb up the career ladder and the struggles along the way and the differences between growing up in cumbria and living a celebrity life in London . It's everything you could want from a memoir, funny, witty yet sad and touching in parts. I do think that if you grew up eating the similar foods that are mentioned you will love it and will be a trip down memory lane for you. I would love to see Grace write a fiction book or even this adapted to the screen would be great!

My son mistakenly ordered a set of books. Right after he hit the confirm button I cancelled the order in less then 10 MINUTES. Filled out the form and sent an email with confimation as well. They said they could not cancel the order! This is beyond ridiculous. It was less then 10 minutes. I have both emails to prove it from this company. NOT good customer service!

Our partner warehouses operate as fast as they can to process orders, often working into the night and early in the morning. This speed benefits the vast majority of our customers and it is unfortunate that it meant we were unable to prevent the dispatch of your order. When we responded to your query, your order was amongst hundreds of others ready for dispatch. To have prevented the dispatch of your order at this stage would have meant a member of the warehouse team sifting through the parcels in the pallets. This was an unfeasible option for many reasons including the most compelling reason, that it would have delayed the dispatch of hundreds of other customer orders.

From the beginning, the writer made the characters relatable and easily loveable. Within sentences I was drawn in and falling in love with Clare and learning lots about her life in the process. As the story progressed, we learnt more and more about her memories in perfect amounts that didn’t overwhelm me as a reader but still gave me lots of information to love the characters even more. As a whole, the book made me want to curl up with a hot chocolate and read it in one whole sitting with its enticing storyline. I was drawn to read this from just seeing the beautiful cover that gave me the impression that it would be the calming, relatable and interesting story that it turned out to be. I would recommend this book, without a doubt, to anyone with an interest in romance novels and/or someone who loves a good story that takes you down the memory-lane of characters.

Always happy with Wordery. The big, big plus compared to Amazon is that they use Royal Mail so you don't have to be at home to receive a book!

I loved The Holiday, story kept me wrapped up and completely drew my attention away from anything else going on. I turned the pages so quickly for the next pages. Love the cover, the characters and the plot. What is meant to be an enjoyable relaxing holiday turns out to be anything but. Four couples entwined with secrets and I didn't expect the outcome that was. Lovely descriptions of the villa, the area. All those secrets and pent up feelings by friends each other thought they knew. Great characters. Twisting, great read, easy read, perfect to read whilst on holiday. I have read two of the author's earlier books and devoured them as much as this one. No blood, no gore, just pure pen to paper thriller / mystery but still enjoyable. One to keep and show on your bookshelf for all to see and all to borrow, that's if you belive that you can trust your friends, do we really 'know' them!?!

WOW, beautiful, eloquent, poetic story. So emotional, thoughtful and intelkigent Definitely not a usual read for me however mixes story with verse and I loved it. This book is astounding. Took me away from myself to inside the airplane to faraway distances and instances. Very thought-provoking, poignant, sensational and beautiful read. I must admit as soon as I saw this wonderful clever book to review and read an extract I just knew I was meant to read it. And to win a kindle copy too just solidified that I was meant to have it in my hands. What wonderful style and grace the author has. This book is colourful in its words made visions come alive in my head and made such a beautiful colourful read. Poetic and empathetic. Great book. Recommend it. For those who don't usually chose verse, I pretty much think you'll be changing your mind. Enjoy!

I was enthralled with this book starring the elegant Her Majesty The Queen. What an amazing book. The style of writing is great. Every time I had to put this book down I'd give a big sigh as to me it was unputdownable. This book deserves an uninterruptable read from start to finish. It's a clever plot, throughout I found it hilariously funny, serious twisty, factual, and serious at the same time, lots of secrecy involved. I love the way S. J. Bennett portrays Her Majesty The Queen, her husband Philip, her fondness for her family, friends and staff. I see a different side to Her Majesty The Queen, how she loves to spend any spare time, how many services and tasks and paperwork she executes every day, week, managing and multi-tasking her commitments. Yes, throughout the book, Her Majesty The Queen is a Miss Marple with her sidekick aide, to solve the crime but with the interwoven life of Her Majesty The Queen threaded through. Builds an ever greater fondness and admiration of Her Majesty The Queen for me. Highly recommending this great and thoughtful read!

This book is autobiography, sociology and veterinary science all in one. Bruce Fogle, a recent graduate of a veterinary school in Canda, has come to London and now is working for the famous Brian Singleton in Pont street London. From here he gives you a great insight into the life of a vet, the numerous clients he meets and how the practice of veterinary science has evolved. I loved his description of life in 1970s London and the numerous high-end clients he often dealt with, including Harrods. It was good to know the part he played in stopping Harrods selling wild animals, something most of us would now find abhorrent. Of course, if you are an animal lover, like me, some parts can be very upsetting, whilst others are uplifting. However, this demonstrates the ups and downs of being a Vet. Towards the end we see him fall in love and marry the actress Julia Foster, however, I would have liked to have read more about how his career moved on.

Anne Mortimer Cats calendar...Wordery is advertising this small diary with the image of the much larger calendar. This is a clear break of trading standards. The diary is a completely different ratio to that shown on their website and has a very differently cropped image/flower background. Sloppy.

I'm not one to usually read these types of books. They fall under the self help /satire range that i either find amusing for an initial first read or boring as hell I was intrigued by this book as its near Christmas and I wondered what would be involved in it. The sneak peak I had was entertaining eggnog with a little quiz to see how much of a snowflake you are (I got mostly Bs) and how to get around the whole Christmas tree decisions. I think my problem with most of these books is they focus on the American Market and as I am British a lot of the issues just don't seem relevant to me. I would say this book is worth a read on a quiet day to get you in the mood for Christmas but I would also say move on to better and more interesting books as soon as you can. I guess after reading this, I am a snowflake after all! I give this book a 3 star, interesting yet not enough to buy
