“First off, it doesn't look like I can even leave a review directly on the Charles Tyrwhitt site under the product. If I can, it is not intuitive to do so and that is an issue with transparency and customer feedback.
Shirt cuffs are an issue (and my only issue with the product). Cuffs are comically large. They are non-adjustable button cuffs, and my hands slip easily through them while it is buttoned. This product requires tailoring to fit and is not ready to go from the package. For $120, that is ridiculous, customers deserve better. I ordered the 15.5/32 EXTRA SLIM, so I am beyond confused why the cuffs are so wide. Recommend timing discounts before purchasing this product since you'll probably spend additional money correcting your shirts. (Unless you have massive wrists, because cuffs are 29cm/ 9.5in diameter.)”
“I ordered several custom shirts from CT and after about a month, the cuff separated from the sleeve. I have been buying shirts for over 40 years and never had this happen before.
This was shoddy workmanship and the company refused to fix the problem.
When I called the US number, I was told that since it was a custom shirt, I cant return it for any exchange or replacement. I said that all i wanted was to have it repaired and was told that they cant do it because it was a custom shirt.
I felt that i was speaking with a robot because i kept getting told the same excuse.
When i asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that no one was there-Shocking- but i would receive an email in 24 hours.
When I did receive a response, i was again told that they don't accept returns but if i wanted to, I could take it to a local tailor and the tailor could fix it. How insulting,
my time and my money to fix their problem.
One star was the lowest rating I can give as there is no choice for a negative rating, but this note will have to suffice.
At CT shirts, customer service is an oxymoron!!
What went wrong you ask, I expected your company to actually offer to fix THEIR problem, not offer a Disingenuous, hollow response.”
“I like the website and customer service. But this is a review for the shirt....the material is pretty good. And comfortable. The problem with the 5 different shirts that I bought is two folds...first, extra slim is about 'fitted' at most...possibly looser. And I'm a pretty big guy at 6'1 and 205lbs! Second, the cut at the armpit is unbelievably low. It's a good 6 inches below my armpit. And this is extra slim! The effect is that I can't raise my arms past horizontal...it tugs on the shirt due to the stupid cut. Never seen anything like it. I would not shop here.”
