Sat here in The Montgomery Towers in Shrewsbury on a Sunday afternoon with friends we have just had the worst experience in any of the over 200 spoons pubs we have visited we were told that we couldn’t get served at the lower bar because it was a weekend so went to the upper bar and then waited for our drinks that were dispensed from the lower bar and the attitude of the staff was absolutely disgusting just kids getting apron money good look Mr Wetherspoon keeping this one afloat

Terribly slow service today in barrow in Furness. Ordered 2 drinks and two breakfasts took over 15 minutes just to be given mugs and on serving the breakfast the bacon was as stiff as cardboard and the rest of the breakfast really dried up. Service and quality is just getting worse. Come about 4 times a month but unlikely to come again

Waited for 2 beers 45 minutes. Went to the till and they were very obnoxious saying it’s not ready. Went back in 10 more minutes and found order aside so I had to take it to my table. Very very disappointed

Second review regarding the Swan in Leighton buzzard. The food is shocking. Are they o.k?

After visiting Wetherspoons in Beverly East Yorkshire yesterday all I can say is we were very dissatisfied. I placed the order at 10 .45 for 2 traditional breakfast's I wasn’t informed that there weren’t any eggs or we would have gone elsewhere as a couple who came in after us did. The tea and coffee machines weren’t working properly and a lot of people were complaining. I was informed there was a staff shortage but 30 minutes for a breakfast when you advertise a 10 minutes wait is beyond a joke.

The staff are friendly and they have the usual range of beers so far so good. Just don't order the food! For some reason Wetherspoon's regards getting their food out quickly above serving it hot. Another meal here spoilt by luke warm soggy chips, basically inedible. Horrible food, can't blame the chef because Wetherspoon's seems to dictate that they must get the food out quickly at all costs. I'm sure they could serve a hot meal if they tried.

I suffered an allergic reaction to a hidden ingredient not shown on menu. On contacting Weatherspoon customer service via email I was met with Arthur who dismissed me, he proceeded to inform me of cross contamination in the kitchen, he obviously did not have he’s listening ears on! I was making contact as to the seriousness of my allergy, he proceeded to inform me the case was closed but it is not closed. This is appalling customer service, in fact he behaved like he was Mr Weatherspoon.

Union rooms Plymouth bar staff need training on how to identify which customer is next to be served. Some seem too focussed on serving their friends rather than the next in the wue

Wagon and Horses in Alfreton seems to attract foul mouthed clientele. Spoils the atmosphere. Not somewhere to bring the family. Avoid.

FOOD POISONING - from Chicken burger! 10 days in bed violently ill! Nearly had to go to hospital, doctor confirmed Campylobacter food poisoning! NEVER eating in a spoons again! AVOID! No offer of compensation and no apology - they denied it was them - I hadn’t eaten chicken or eaten out the rest of the week and it only comes from raw chicken!

Visited the cross keys j d wetherspoon in Peebles 03/01/2024 to take part in there January sale offers but unfortunately got changed full price for myself and wife daughter and her husband when I queried it staff didn't know what items was on offer and when I showed them the offers online was told by the staff the sale was only in English wetherspoons. The staff have to be informed if the company are doing promotions very poor staff training and communication by management. Mr and Mrs w robin.

I have just had the worst scrambled eggs on toast of my whole life at The Five Swans in Newcastle Luke warm scrambled eggs that were dry , black in places and rubbery they were microwaved to within an inch of their life , disgusting is an understatement I would quite happily show the chef how to make scrambled eggs at best this was embarrassing am sure this will have repercussions on my guts and or bowels later

Attended the William Ruffus in Carlisle with 21 other friends to celebrate my sons 30th birthday. We ordered a quantity of food and drinks with the intention of spending most of the day there as there was enough space to accommodate a large number of persons. I had an issue with a part of my food order not being delivered to my table, I approached the bar staff who acknowledged that the food hadn’t been delivered and stated that they would sort the problem and send it to my table. After waiting almost 20 minutes the food still hadn’t arrived so I spoke to a lady who stated she was the manager, I explained what had happened and she without even checking said well all the food was delivered. I explained that the girl behind the bar had acknowle dged that the food hadn’t been served and the manageress then said well that’s hard lines I’m not sending out the rest of the missing order. To be honest her attitude was ridiculous and downright rude. As a result our whole party decided to leave and give our custom to another establishment. I realise that in the big scheme of things the loss of a few hundred pounds can be absorbed big a large chain like witherspoons but if this is replicated elsewhere I think in these days of hardship people will choose to spend their money elsewhere.
