“My partner wanted to smooth out the hills where we are on the edge of the Peak District, but didn't want to change her bike. Then we came across Swytch Bike online. I'll cut to the chase, this is an excellent e-bike conversion solution. Simple to install, easy to operate, and put quite simply, it does the job brilliantly. We ordered the Swytch kit through one of the 'pre-order' campaigns in April 2021. Delivery took a couple of weeks longer than expected, arriving mid-July 2021. Understandable given the current global disruption, and comms were great, so we always knew where things were up to. Once the kit had arrived it took 90 mins at most to fit, including mounting the new tyre, fitting the disc rotor, and sorting the wire routing. This was mainly due to the excellent instructions, both included with the kit and available online. With the battery charged up we headed out for a first spin. The style of my partners bike means the battery is quite high up, raising the centre of gravity. This felt a little odd for all of 60 seconds, but nothing after that. Riding the bike, even on the lowest power setting was a joy. The motor kicks in just enough to give that gentle assist. On the higher settings the assistance is far more noticeable, and certainly makes short work of hills, even the 10%-15% gradients we have tried so far. And on the flat with no motor assistance riding is just as easy. Yes, the bike is little heavier, but not noticeably so, and it doesn't cause a problem. We also opted for the 'black' version of the motor and wheel (as an extra), and pleased we did as it matches the bike perfectly, and if it wasn't for the battery you wouldn't really notice any difference I was slightly worried about how easy it would be to change a tube roadside if the wheel needed to be removed, but having had to deal with that now I can safely say there is no issue. Just have a 17mm spanner in your tool kit. In the end, If I could I'd give more than 5 stars, for both product and service.”

“Slight downside of delivery delay, but having now had my Swytch ebike since December 2020, I have not looked back! I have been cycling to work for the past 12 months and Swytch ebike has made the 14 mile round trip a lot quicker. The battery is excellent and even the lowest power setting helps with the steep hills between East and North London, meaning I don’t arrive to work in a sweaty mess! Thanks Swytch you have reinvigorated my live of cycling!”

“I purchased mime C Line Brompton and really wanted a Electric Brompton but, at the time feel like the Electric Brompton from was too bulky and not worth the extra money and the weight. Than come Version 3 of the Swytch Conversion kits. From the commercial look and sound so promising. Once received the kits. The black RIM was as good as the OEM wheel, All components look very high grade and u can tell from the picture the battery holder look solid. After the first ride, feel like the money well worthed. For the amount I spent on the kit, I was able to keep up with mime wife Flyer Upstreet 2 which cost 2x the money. The biggest plus for this kits is the light weight battery. Both the Air and Max is big plus and if u ride less hilly location the range seem to exceed what advertised. Overall it is well worthed money spented.”

“I took delivery of my Swytch order in November 2021 and fitted the Swytch kit to my 30 year old Hard Rock bike. I found fitting the kit to the Hard Rock bike to be straight forward. On riding the bike I had a problem with the drive from the Swytch drive cutting out when climbing hills. To Swytch's credit they diagnosed the problem in the battery and were helpful in sending a number of spare parts to solve the problem. I have now fitted the Swytch kit on my old bike to a new bike. Before I bought the new bike I looked into purchasing an ebike at around £2,500 but decided that the Swytch kit I had was OK for my social riding and transferred it to my new bike. The riding experience of Swytch on the new bike has been good and has the advantage of the bike being lighter than a designed ebike. To summarize I have been satisfied with my Swytch purchase and provides good value if you fit to a bike that you already have and like.”

“The Swytch conversion kit is an easy to fit system even for those of limited mechanical ability. It is compact and fits without interference to other cycle options (unless you have a front basket or similar which would have to be removed). The pedal sensor is a good fit and does not appear to interfere with the pedalling action or get caught by your foot or trousers. I have the mid range controller which only allows you to go up through the power modes of which there is 0 (off) to 5 settings and not back down - go up to 5 and the next selection is 0. In hindsight I should have had a controller that goes up and down the power settings. But it is easy once you are used to it so not a insurmountable problem. In my kit, a couple of unused wires from the battery support could have been tidier and capped. Compared to buying a full electronic bike it is much cheaper option. I am very happy with the purchase and usefulness.”

“I’m nearly 75 years old, but wanted to get myself in better shape with some convenient exercise. I bought the kit to convert an old, but well kept DAHON folding bike to be a really useful transport and exercise unit. After a rather long, and annoying delay, it arrived and was easily installed. I had the installation verified by the DAHON agent here, and he said it looked great. I cycle now more or less every day, and of course can park anywhere, which is certainly not the case with my car. I have great range, and using it at P1 can get where I want AND get some exercise in the process.”

“With my electric bike kit, I was not expecting it to be this powerful for a 250w motor and such a small battery - what a joy to ride! It's so powerful for the specs, and so far I think it can go further than advertised on a charge. I live in a mountainous/hilly area, and the motor can assist me up to 32kph/20mph still! This ebike is so powerful for the price. I really appreciate the build quality - mostly metal parts, great connectors, and strong metal screws. While I have only used mid-drive ebikes before, these kits seem on-par or better in terms of power and build quality. In addition, I later ordered the throttle and brake sensor; great upgrades for starting off and safer braking (the motor take about one second to fully stop assisting on levels 4/5 and 5/5). I've even already recommended it to a few friends, and they seem like they're also going to order it! I'm currently planning for this to be my "nice weather" ride to and from work, school, home, etc. as the Air battery has plenty of range (advertised ~9 miles on level 2, but proving to be even better).”

“The Swytch kit for the Brompton made it easy to convert the perfect foldable bike to electrify it. The pedal assist and optional throttle make commuting a pleasure, especially in the challenging hilly terrain of Pittsburgh, PA which is where I am from. I also had to reach out for support for a lost battery charger, and they were responsive and offered to ship me a complimentary (free!) one, which was a great gesture on their part.”

“The Swytch kit enabled me keep my hand built road bike long after the hills became just too steep to enjoy. Cabling and connections are sturdy and, twelve months down the line, the motor and battery are still performing as intended. With a similar bike consisting upwards of £3k now, the pedal assist system has proved the best of both worlds: a comfortable ride without the fear of hills.”

“Now I have used my swytch kit for about two weeks. I am very happy with it, because of the simple installation and the very light battery pack. The motor is powerful and i don´t want to ride without it anymore. There are similar products on the market, but the swytch kit is very good quality and for me absolut worth the money. “This kit is awesome. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, I had it installed in 30 minutes. I got this kit for my special needs sons bike. He is not to good at using hand brakes so I needed to maintain a coaster brake capability for him. This kit provided that at price significantly less then regular e-bike. I had researched several other modification kits out there . Several at first were cheaper but not everything was included. The Swytch kit came complete. I would recommend either getting 2 batteries or the bigger one. Our Son is getting so much more use out his bike now.”

“In the photo is the new version of swytch bike fitted to my road bike, together with the older version fitted to my wife's Pashley. Fitting to the Pashley took some doing, mainly because of the nature of the Pashley. However, so worth doing to help with hills and the excessive weight of the Pashley. She was so pleased with it but now has battery envy. We wish we had ordered the extra set up when we had the chance! I had to give in and swytch my bike just to keep up with her. Its great and so unobtrusive. I keep it set on low power and then I have to do some work to get up hills and I feel it is still benefiting my fitness. How do we go about ordering a new battery set up for my wife’s bike?”
