Great product - well priced, took a while to arrive but this wasn`t unexpected. Easy to set up on a Brompton and performs well. An issue with a failed controller was dealt with promptly following proactive help from the helpdesk to try and troubleshoot. Overall a great product.

Apart from a super delayed delivery (9 months instead of 6) it is true that once you install it it's great! Generally speaking, the installation manual is good. I had to make a modification to place the sensor, because none of the alternatives proposed in the manual could work and the sensor must be really close to the magnetic disc... But it works perfectly and that is all that matters. Also I feel that I should have bought the big battery because the small one seems to be small for 13 km per day and the frequent use seems like it diminishes the battery's capacity. But that is not very easy to define because there might be other factors that influence the capacity. Proposals: I think that there should be something like an alarm to know when the battery is fully charged, not to overcharge it. Also it would be nice if for example, by pedaling in the opposite direction, the wheel could slow down by charging the battery just like hybrid cars. From what I have seen in the market I think it's the best thing so far. I hope that they will further improve it.

Having had the pro and eco kits, yes they are good, but the fundamental issue is the poor quick release bracket, this is the weak point sadly, as any bumps dislodges the connection sometimes and stop working. The often loss of power for no reason is also frustrating. I have done many commutes to work and i would say 90% no issues, but when it does play it, useless for no reason at all. I have a 26mile round commute and have to carry both batteries as not confident in the pro achieving the trip, caught out a couple of times. I think for future i would buy a dedicated e-bike that has been designed to just work. Novel idea though.

I appreciated that the swytch kit is less than buying yet another bike and that it was relatively easy to install, even if you're not a bike mechanic. The pedal sensor keeps slipping out of alignment and the max battery definitely does not last 30km on a relatively flat rail to trail. The computer battery indicator does not match the battery life lights on the battery. The computer indicates 1 bar of battery left, while the battery has 2 lights remaining. The second battery I purchased seems to hold more charge longer. All that said, the swytch kit on my Trek hybrid did enable me to complete riding 100 miles in September for the Great Cycle Challenge to raise money for children's cancer research. Thanks Swytch!!! Its truly a joy to have the pedal assist!

Works great! Only concern is doesn’t stay charged for the duration I thought it would. Would like the option to purchase the smaller battery as insurance on longer rides.

Very easy to install on my Brompton and more compact than the previous battery generation .Very satisfied it does what I was looking for … «  a little help from my friend … ». reliable and easy to install .The only downside is the cable settings. Jacques from Montreal , QC, Canada .

My swytch bike is great and the service and delivery was faultless. Only negative comment is that when assembling the bike we found that the frame holding the battery didn't fit the handlebars properly so we had to improvise with putting a couple of packers in.

Be prepared to wait at least 16 weeks, so if you order in June you'll get it the cold weather. The product is good but make sure that they send everything as advertised for the kit - including the basic setup control display unit. They left it out from my package because I ordered in addition the more expensive OLED set up and display unit. I did manage to get them to send out the basic setup control display. I very recently tried to purchase an extra Max battery but it seems impossibly difficult to order anywhere on their website. Very frustrating

I was happy that the kit was fairly easy to install. The only disappointment is the range with the small battery. I bought the extended range battery but it was very expensive. Some things I could wish for are cruise control with variable speed settings and the ability to adjust the speed of the peddle assist modes. When I just barely enough for the bike to move, it's too fast. There you have it. My two cents. Quid?

I am enjoying having the swytch system on my bike, although I haven’t needed to use it as much as I anticipated it’s great to know it is there for a boost when I need it. I feel the cost of the individual parts is very high. I initially got the mid range speedometer/ battery power indicator control but it was very low quality technically and returned it to upgrade to the OLED. This is much better. More usable but I feel it’s over priced- especially when the basic kit included one and didn’t arrive. The kit took some time to fit, it was a bit challenging at times but we got there in the end. I’m not keen on the faceless aspect of Swytch and frustrated at not being able to speak to anyone directly. However the online help service was pretty good, slower than having someone at the end of a phone but eventually (2 weeks) the issue was resolved.

Great customer service. I had problems getting the kit to work and was supplied with replacement parts at no cost. Installation is moderately difficult. It took a long time to get the kit but that was anticipated.

cheaper than a full e-bike and i get to ride without assist when i want (and can switch it back). more than enough power for city rides and trailer hauling. it was easy to install and quick to charge.

Works great. Only downside is the range is less than what was advertised. I am 4.5 miles from work. I have to make sure I charge the battery at work since the charge won't take me on the full 9 mile round trip. Not a problem and I'd probably just mark this a 4.5 star product.

Delivery was stressful as the kit arrived around 3 months later than promised and there was essentially no communication from customer service regarding the delay. Also the kit arrived with the wrong wheel size. Swytch did seen out a replacement wheel promptly which was appreciated. The product has worked great since it arrived. Installation was fairly easy. It would be nice if there was a way to adjust the acceleration as a function of pedal speed. It seems a little aggressive accelerating to max speed for how I like to ride even on the lowest power setting.

Great to upgrade my older bike. I have the long range battery but pretty difficult to get to 30+kms as 20 to 22 is max.....or I would have given a 5-starLouis rating

Great bit of kit and easy to set up. The down side is that you have to wait ages from order to delivery and then if you would like any accessories after purchase it is really difficult to buy as it seems most accessories can only be bought at time of original kit order.

The good: it works. Simple to use. Reasonable price. Makes cycling uphill with a heavy load sooo much easier. The bad: didn’t read the small print and had not realised that the axle would not fit my trek bike. In the end I put it on an old bike we had and it fits fine. Not ideal but still happy. Recommend that you regularly check your brake pads as they wear down faster than normal.

Kit is good, easy to fit and bike rides well. Couple of minor issues (a) Battery capacity indicator can drop a little at max assist but recovers after normal assist. We'll see how many cycles its good for. (b) Battery mounting is secure/firm but does tend to get in the way of handle bar front light mount. Overall, recommended.
