“I am travelling everywhere with my Dwytch Brompton and love it! Disadvantages are there too: short range, timespan until engine reacts quite big. Otherwise fine!”

“This second generation battery is much better than the first one I had. The wheel hub motor has been flawless. The only real draw back is the wait time to get products. I have a guy who saw my setup and he ordered one for himself. He seems to like his setup.”

“It is fairly easy to set up with easy to follow instructions. Operation straight forward. Clarity when ordering extras could be improved as I ended up with a duplicate controller. When riding the bike it is great to travel up steep hills with the same effort as on the flat.”

“Lots of advice from support staff and i was ultimately offered a replacement part, however this took about 2 months to arrive as it was out of stock. First proper 10 mile ride was a bit hilly and windy, the battery began cutting out on the way home, but it provides a very welcome boost on the hills!”

“Wait time was reasonable, the kit was complete. My inexperience with tire swapping and fitting the sensor, etc., made the upgrade on my old Trek model road bike a bit arduous, however I got through it and am a better person for it... no fault of the Swytch team for my learning curve. Two things I can suggest: make sure to check axle dimension and provide the correct dimension at the time you place the order. I received 10mm axle. My bike has 9mm, so I had to modify the receivers to make the kit work. It works, no complaints. Maybe Swytch could build in a verification question in their ordering process? The other thing is the digital controller needed a separate mounting bracket because it would not fit on my handlebars. Swytch compensated me for correcting that, thank you! Again, no complaints!”

“This is the greatest invention since the internet!! It was so easy to install and works flawlessly. It also has the added benefit of not looking like an e-bike since I was my original bike. I absolutely love my Swytch.”

“I was happy to wait for the delivery delay for the reduced cost involved. I had no need for customer service and found the assembly to be fairly straightforward. The components seem to be of excellent quality Except for the magnetic disc centre parts that are made from hard plastic. Rubberized tines would be better to ensure concentricity and grip. An option to reduce the centre of gravity and mount the battery on the frame would stabilize the assembled bike.”

“The kit to convert the bike is superb but the time it took to fulfill the order wasn’t an error on wheel size lead to an eight month delay between placing the order and actually getting to ride the ebike”

“Huge assistance on the hills around Somerset and range is better than stated. The beauty of a conversion is being able to put it on a very light bike, and second hand bikes with good components are cheap. It seems that the Electric bikes you can buy are very heavy and have rubbish kit. My friend has one and I left him standing. I would like to see a better, more robust pick up sensor and mounting system for the crank etc. Not easy to make something adaptable to all bikes, I know.”

“It takes a bit of time to sort out how to instal the kit on your bike, but when it is working it is wonderful. The only issue we have, which is why they get four rather than five stars, is that the correct fitting of the pedal sensor is difficult. On my bike it is hard to anchor it in place, and so the bike can sometimes lose power if it gets knocked and put out of line.”

“I received set with 10mm axle. My bike has 9mm. I said i will return the kit. You said our engineering support will solve the problem and I was directed to the engineering support. Via many e mails they advised to do that and that. But it was impossible to install. Then I said i want to return the kit. You answered that it is not possible to do it cause more than 14 days have gone. Then i was told to wait until your new kit with 9mm shaft is ready and then I can swap my kit to that. I am still waiting...”

“Not being very mechanically adept, it took me a while to fit the kit. Had to reposition the pedal sensor a number of times before finding the sweet spot, but working well now. Really enjoy the riding experience but would agree with other reviews that the battery capacity is a bit of a disappointment. Nevertheless happy with my purchase so far. Can’t comment on returns or customer service as I have had no reason to use either to date. Is conversion with Swytch preferable to purchasing a new e bike? I also have a VOLT which offers many more miles of cycling support but at twice the price. Very glad to have both options.”

“I love the Swytch kit, the max is great though the battery does run out fairly quickly on longer rides, but it is really smooth riding. The one negative is the display, I preferred when it was all in one, I just don’t have the space on my handle bar. The customer service is amazing and have dealt with all my issues really quickly and efficiently! Overall I love it and I would definitely recommend the kit to others!”
