“Haven't really got into my course yet due to xmas. But, what I have read so far sounds easy to follow, and I can't wait till I can get more into it. I love the notes section and nice that I can go back and read it when I need help. Diffentley will try another cooking course but not to many to choose from for my liking. Wish mine would have more recipes.”
“I've been writing in the last few years of my 33 years in a cult. Only recently have I attempted fiction and discovered Harlan Coben who I've been reading and enjoying for many years. His lessons have been so valuable and have not only helped me continue my work of fiction but complete my other non-fiction work.”
“I enjoy listening to people who have succeeded in their fields of endeavour. I also enjoy the variety of views on the same subject. I'm watching Alan Moore and Harlan Coben who have different approaches to writing. This helped open my mind to not be narrowly focused on a particular style of writing.”
“I found the Lee Child course extremely useful. It’s not completely for someone who is a beginner, but I think it will help them. It’s easy to follow. He makes excellent points about the writing process. It doesn’t matter wha fiction you are writing commercial or literary fiction, it is going to be hard work. He deals with the central issues that all writers have grappled with and he does it in an easy accessible style. Very enjoyable.”
“I am interested in the creative writing parts of this portal and have been through JoJo Moyes's course about writing love stories. What a gem of the course for the beginners and even for those published writers. She is humble, sincere, warm, and so close to anyone who wants to learn from her. Her insight into every aspect of her character's life is the insight into everyone's life. I have read three of her books, and I laughed and cried, and I lived with Louise and her and Will's story, and Sam's conundrum with the shoes and the friendship brought those women together through their drama. For me, the depth of her characters and the love stories with a solid psychological fabric are things I learn from.
I bought six of her books and have read Me Before You, Me After You and Someone Else's Shoes.”
“I very much appreciate the sessions with Chef Marco Pierre White. A true poet of the palate! I hope to find, as I am from the other side of the Atlantic, recipes for some real British desserts so if you are thinking of putting on the show with any jellies et al. do let me know.”
“I didn't know about the platform until I saw author Harlan Coben's course advertised on Instagram. It was easy and uncomplicated to purchase the course and use the platform. So far sĂł good.”
“Finally, a content to learn what you like the most from the most successful people. The fact that these same unique people do the course gives a lot of veracity of the potential that the courses have. Hopefully more will come in the future.”
“I've only taken one course, the magnificent course by Harlan Coben, one of the few authors whose book I buy every year on the day it is released. I'm amazed by his ability to keep me entertained for a day or two until i finish his latest creation. His characters are so well developed, his plot lines are twisty and fun and his pacing is flawless. I even love his young adult novels and"Shelter" on Amazon Prime. Very disappointed there will not be a Season 2.”
“I’ve only just started the Jojo Moyes course but I absolutely love it. Easy to access, easy to use, well thought through and personally I love the notes even more than the videos!”
“I am writing a novel and make time each week to listen to some lessons from these masters. Ken Follett's sessions have covered reflections on what makes a brilliant first line to practical advice on how to get an agent. I have a year's subscription to the lot and I am learning more every time I listen. It makes you feel part of the community, in with the writers' trials and tribulations and supported.”
“I purchased this as a gift for my husband to access the Vineet Bhatia classes as we have his books .
We are both enjoying watching the cooking lessons which are excellent.
However we are now so excited to view other presenters on the platform and to keep extending our learning and knowledge in other areas too.
We would recommend this for all ages and all people. Just such a fab platform and affordable gift idea too excellent value for money .”
“I´m in love with the BBC Maestro courses.
Initially, I wanted to buy a course for my husband. Then, I saw the available courses and subscribed for an annual ride. Once I started looking inside the platform, I was hooked.
Excellent themes, teachers, and courses. Every course is more delicious than the previous.”
“There's a wide variety of classes offered by famous authors, chefs and others. All accompanied by comprehensive guide book with exercises and lesson notes. Plenty of classes and topics to explore.”
