“Very smart and uncomplicated watch. With it larger than usual numbers on the face and never ending energy supply from the solar device, it was the perfect Birthday gift for my elderly father. Simple and effective and does exactly what a watch needs to do, tell the time.”

“I bought this for my husband, as an anniversary gift, as we had a fantastic weekend recently watching the Red Arrows. He only has Citizen watches and has several now but this one made him cry - in a good way! He loves them all and they always make beautiful gifts. I, and my husband am extremely happy with this watch, and with all the previous ones too.”

“Had Citizen Ecodrives now for many years and have always been pleased with them. Recently, two of my husband's watches needed repair and it would have been dearer to pay for that than it was to buy this brand new watch from Citizen direct. It looks really smart, was a bargain price and was delivered promptly.”

“Watch is good but trying to change the date is all but impossible. I know about gently pulling the crown out. It's easy enough to alter the time, but for the date nothing happens even if pulling the crown further. Then it comes out completely.”

“Poor customer service. No phone number to contact them, only emails. So they reply only if they want. Unfortunately I have read about their customer service but I thought that I won't need it. Is a shame for such a big brand with this very bad customer service.”

“A minimalist elegant watch that is esthetically pleasing on both a woman's hand or on a male who prefers a smaller watch. Delivery was super fast. In general it is well made, the blue dial is more vivid and irresdescant than the web photos, more like a piece of cobalt blue stained glass in strong sunlight. The metal bracelet is minimalistic and looks timeless. I love the overall look and general quality. On very small wristed women it may be a bit bulky but I don't mind that. If I would change anything I would say the date window is too small. It should be bigger to be practical to see double digit numbers. In fact I would do away with it altogether, it would improve the look, and most people don't actually use the date function in the 21st century. Two gripes I have are 1. In bright daylight the you can see through the watch face and see the glue line that adheres the face to the watch. It's not just mine, can see it in review pics on the Amazon site. 2. The pins in the strap are almost impossible to remove at home without watchmakers tools. My Lorus solar has a far easier but secure mechanism to shorten the strap. It would be nice if Citizen made changing the strap size easier to do yourself. Overall I'm happy with the look of the watch. It's been keeping good time (as expected for Citizen). I'd recommend it to anyone as long long as they are ok with the points made above. The glue line can be seen in the pics, it's the thing that most annoys me about the watch, but I like it so much I still decided to keep it. My feedback to the company - For a woman the face size would be perfect if it were 30.5-31mm, for this super round shape. - make the date window a bit bigger or remove altogether. - would love to see in other stained glass style colours, bottle green, oxblood, dark violet etc...”
